Kimberly Celeste is a 11 year old girl who ends up getting adopted by Maya and Carina, your probably thinking Maya saves her like most fanfic out there but no. I decided to do something different, Kimberly walks into the Station 19 Clinic in need of desperate medical attention and seeming as Carina hadn't been paged she was there, waiting for a patient and I'm pretty sure you can work out what happens from there.

Written in mainly Carina's point of view the story explores her experience with a miscarriage and its effects it has on her and those around her. As she struggles with being able to move on, she realizes that life has other plans for both her and Maya when someone special comes into their life. What will happen when the couple is presented with a third opportunity to become parents? Will their dreams finally come true?
