G.U.N. has located the Master Emarald, a powerful, green gem that could be dangerous if in the wrong hands. When a mysterious platypus arrives on Earth and is a possible cause for war, the world's only hope is to assemble a team of heroes. 

Sonic the Hedgehog, the fastest creature alive, but with a beast within. Tails the fox genius, who can invent marvelous creations. Knuckles the Echidna, a brave and fearsome warrior from the land of Angel Island. Amy Rose, a dedicated fighter. Shadow the Hedgehog, a powerful chaos creation. And master agents Espio the Chameleon and Rouge the Bat.

Together they will become a team to take on an attack that will call them to become the greatest of all time.
