For years, Olivia Jones used chemistry concepts as a metaphor for love. Her favourite one is the Pauli Exclusion Principle, where it states that there can only be two electrons in an orbital, with two different spins. She relates the atomic orbital to a romantic relationship where she strongly believes in monogamy, and the magnetic spins as the differing personalities of the couple. She believes that for a relationship to be stable there has to be only two people in the relationship and that they have to be complete opposites. But what if she has already found her pair but never share the same orbital? When she's in the ground state, her pair is in the excited state. When she has somebody, he doesn't and when he's got somebody, she doesn't. Will they always be in the right place at the wrong time? And the right time at the wrong place?
