Remus Lupin held a terrible secret. One that, if slipped, would most certainly destroy his life for good. He'd end up in Azkaban- or worse. Which made him apprehensive to accept friendships. It wasn't fair not to be truthful with his friends. Despite his more reserved behaviour, the three boys he shares a dorm with refuse to let him isolate himself.

Read on as Remus does his best to fit in, gain friendships (and perhaps something more?) and get top marks. Delve into Sirius's free spirit and troubled childhood, James's struggles despite his privileged position in life, and meet Peter, who just wants happiness and to be like the rest of his dorm mates.

The story of everyone's favourite Marauders - as seen by me. Remus-centered, but also has other perspectives. Warning that I do not have a bunch of prewritten chapters and am publishing as I write. I started writing out of my love for the marauders and my need to see them be happy. Also just for the fun of it. I am also publishing on AO3, my @ is accio_moony_26

"Oh Lily, you really are amazing, you know that?" Lily sighed, same old James he was probably going to ask her out again in 3... 2... 1.... and... Nothing. Huh, she thought to herself, maybe he really has changed. James looked back at Lily and grinned, she quickly looked away and his face fell. I need to get her out of my head, he thought, she doesn't like me anymore, end of. No point in going after a girl who hates you anymore, who knows how much time we all have left. The door opened, and they both looked up. Prefects started filling the room, ready to start the new school year. Lily smiled professionally and James mimicked her, greeting and congratulating the other students. Before Lily started to speak, she took a last glance at James. He smiled slightly, his small dimples made him look so innocent and adorable. She breathed in and looked down at the paper in front of her, one thought protruding out from the rest, I will not fall in love with James Potter. --- In their final year at Hogwarts, Voldemort is on the rise, luckily though, Hogwarts is still safe... mostly. James and Lily are finally civil but Lily finds herself feeling something more that she can't keep denying. Remus is drowning himself in school work, blaming the upcoming NEWTs, but Sirius isn't convinced, could there be another reason for his constant avoidance? Meanwhile, a new arrival in school has easily made friends with all her fellow Gryffindors... except Marlene: determined to befriend the newbie, Marlene insists on spending more and more time with her. There could be more to all these friendships, but with the stress of NEWTS and a potential war on the horizon, will love blossom, or is it too dangerous to keep loved ones close? Mainly Jily, but wolfstar and Marlene x fem!oc slowburn fluff as secondary love plot lines :)

"So if its words that you are looking for McKinnon, I am fluently gifted with the art of speaking. But I'd much rather spend every day showing you exactly how I feel, knowing that you're mine and that we belong together." Its Marlene's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and she wants nothing more than to pass Transfiguration in which she is hopelessly failing. But her struggle to improve her grades means crossing paths with fellow student Sirius Black, who just so happens to be ridiculously attractive, arrogant, and unfortunately her best bet to acing the class. She doesn't know why Sirius has suddenly taken interest in helping her, but accepting his assistance doesn't come without consequences. Her best friend Lily Evans seems to think that there is something more to the relationship than meets the eye, but Marlene has convinced herself that she does not like Sirius in that way. However, things get a little complicated when her feelings become conflicted, and it doesn't take long for Marlene to begin wondering if Lily was right all along. Finally admitting to herself that her feelings for Sirius are more than just platonic, she must decide which path to choose. Suddenly, she no longer just has Transfiguration to worry about; she must untangle the complications of her love life and finally tell Sirius exactly how she feels.
