It's like they were polar opposites although they played in the same team. Beomgyu was the face of their Basketball team, being the captain, while Taehyun, preferred to be hidden in the team. Maybe Taehyun kept himself hidden but his feelings that grew for the team captain might have failed to be hidden. (Intro for more details!)
