Her brother Tobias was the only one who did, and they both shared the pain of an abusive father, Marcus Eaton. They knew that they had to get away from him and his abusive ways, they also didn't care how they did, but one thing was for certain. As he pushes her buttons, he falls more and more in love with her. But does she fall in love with him? Who knows? This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories.
