Will Legolas follow his duty to marry her, or will he follow his heart? Adding to his worries, Tauriel vanishes the same night the orcs attack Mirkwood. What will happen to her? Will Legolas make the right decision to save Tauriel, or will he decide not to?

"I will stay safe. I promise," I said, pulling back and looking her in the eyes. They were red and puffy from crying, and her face was tearstained. I dried her tears, and her sobbing slowed to a stop. She took a shuddering breath and hugged me tightly. "You promise?" Míreth said quietly. "I promise," I whispered back. I held her tightly. "When I come back, we can live a happy, normal life together. I will come back. Alright?" I hoped the word together would hit a nerve. I did. Míreth pulled back, new tears of hope in her eyes. When they started spilling down her face, I dried them quickly with my shirtsleeve. ~*~*~*~ I do not own any of the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit characters. I only own Míreth and the characters I made up. ~*~*~*~ I changed the cover and title. I thought this would be a bit more related to the story. You are the daughter of an Elvish king and Queen. You also have some magic as your family are close friends with Gandalf the grey and your mother is the daughter of a wizard. When your kingdom is invaded your father sends you to Mirkwood to get help. There you meet Thranduil and his son Legolas. Thranduil sends you back with a small army and Legolas. You two quickly become friends as your feelings grow you try to hide them as you are worried he doesn't feel the same way. When the fighting stops and there is a party to celebrate the two of you end up dancing together... This follows a similar storyline to the Hobbit but I have changed it slightly.

Tauriel had been raised in Mirkwood by her mother surrounded with the past. The prince of Mirkwood a dear friend of Tauriel grows fond of her. But as the Prince of Mirkwood these kind of feelings towards a lowly Silvan elf will surley be seen as a disgrace. With duty before feelings how will Tauriel and Legolas cope through the dark times that come. Will they run from eachothers love?

An elf with nothing left but her adopted brother who she has grown to love. When an adventure strikes and she meets another elf, handsome fellow she finds herself loving her own life again. And because I'm a lazy bum any Elvish will be said like "(elvish) hello bla bla." I'm sure your imagination can handle that. Lord of the Rings fic. The Third age draws to a close and the Fourth begins. The world is once again at peace for a time, and the time of men begins. Thranduil's people, being elves, began to gradually filter from the mortal land of Aman, and he was determined to be there to see the very last of them off, even when only five of them remain. Despite the quiet years and his ambitions to live as long as possible, he craved a fight, a few moments of glory at the head of an army. So when the opportunity presents itself he is more than willing to go, two of his guards and closest companions going with him. Could he truly bring the Elves to glory once again in their final years?
