After being humiliated in front of the whole school for being gay, the popular boy named Clay decides to stand up for him. Clay, suffering from diabetes with abusive and not supportive parents, does everything to help George get rid of the bullies while struggling a lot himself. The two start getting closer and closer until Clay starts realising he's more similar to George than he expected to be, wanting to be closer to him every day. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.

George is exhausted from living in his toxic home where he's bullied by his brothers and treated harshly by his homophobic foster parents, and in his circumstance he can't run away, so his only solution is being consensually kidnapped. His best friend Sapnap apparently knows a certain someone that can 'do the job', and when he reveals that this person he was talking about is a mafia boss, George gets a little nervous, but he isn't about to back off on his plan.
