Davey Jacobs was the new kid. And boy, did he hate being the new kid. His whole life, Davey had gone to private school but now, since his father hurt his leg at work, he had to go to a public school. A public school, where he would have no friends. That is, until he meets Jack Kelly and his group of friends, dubbed the 'Newsies' due to their work selling the school newspaper and working on the school news team. Suddenly, Davey isn't so lonely anymore.

"Stepping onto Brooklyn's turf was like stepping into molten lava. Race really wished he went with his first choice, Midtown, instead of feeding himself to the dogs." "Race had been to Brooklyn before. More times than he could count on his fingers. But who was Race if he didn't try and antagonize one of Spot's boys?" Racetrack Higgins, a Lower Manhattan newsboy is caught in Brooklyn without Jack Kelly by his side. Only to be found by Spot before things could escalate. He had successfully stopped the conflict.. or did he? OR: Spot finds out the hard way that it's quite difficult to get rid of Racetrack Higgins!

It had been a few months since the Newsies won their strike against Joseph Pulitzer and things had finally started to go back to normal. For most of the Newsies that was anyways. Two of the Newsies, Specs and Romeo had their own problems that they were dealing with. Both were hopelessly in love with the other and were convinced that the feelings were not mutual. In a time where being gay is illegal, will they give up or will they find joy in an illegal romance?

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. He was stubborn, has anxiety, and is a good bit chaotic. Spot Conlon was not a normal Newsie. He was the King of Brooklyn, the Borough feared by most. Except for Race. (And a few others.) Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered. One think they both agreed was that they cared for their boys more than anything and would do anything to keep them safe. Oh, that and that the other was cute. Or hot, depending on if you were Spot or Race. ~~ Excerpt from the Story ~~ "Hey, Race." Ace starts, picking up his cards every time Race passes one to him. Race hums, passing a card to Sling, then himself, and then Ace. "Do you have a crush on Spot?" Ace asks, still staring at his cards. Sling hides his smile with his cards in front of his face, stifling a laugh. "No." Race answers, his face reddening slightly as he passes out another card to each boy. Ace looks up at him. "BS." He responds, smirking. Race scowls at him, pulling his hat off of his head and smacking Ace with it, all while his face turns bright red. Ace and Sling laugh. ~~ ~~ (I do not own Newsies.) (Despise this book so much. I hate it. Kinda makes sense but if give it read if ya want 😂- me writing from June pt3) PREQUEL TO JUNE CONLON Pt1 &2!! You can read this story on its own. Also if your are reading this series you can skip this is guess, but then there might be some stuff that confuse you in the next book so please read this 😂. Anyway 1898 (one year before the strike) Isabella is now a waitress at Lucky Dill. Though she didn't realise the Brooklyn newsies go there everday for lunch. Especially the King of Brooklyn himself, Spot Conlon. Isabella and Spot dislike each other from the moment they met. Will this change as he learns about her? Or will she learn more about this cocky boy? Rubbish summary but here goes 😂

"Jack why's do I have ta come?" Race questions. "Because Racer, your my second which means you have ta come ta meetings and that includes Brooklyn." It's not that Race didn't like Brooklyn, he loved Brooklyn, he even sold his papers in Brooklyn, but the leader of Brooklyn terrified him in many ways. He was terrified of Spot physically and romantically. Race had seen Spot a few times and saw him during the strike, Race had fallen hard for this Brooklyn boy, but so many things could go wrong if Spot or anyone else found out about it. " Ace! Hotshot!" Spot yells. "Be ready by the time Jack Kelly gets here!" Spot yells again. To say the least Spot was nervous, he wasn't nervous of Jack, but he had heard rumors that Jack's second was coming with him. Spot new for a fact that Jack's second was Racetrack Higgins, the boy that Spot lets sell on his turf, the boy that he made laugh in the court room, the boy he had fallen in love with. Of course nobody can know about it, the things that they would do to Spot is the unthinkable. This is also kind of a musical, some of the Newsies will sing songs, some won't. I do not own any Newsie characters except Spike. I do not own any of the songs either. This is A sprace story if you haven't figured that out by now. I try to have two chapters in each week, might be more than that, might be less than that, just depends how my schedule's look. Some chapters are pretty short others are long. There's really no consistency with me. Hope you enjoy it!

Enough food, enough money, enough anything. One day, he arrives at the newspaper station to find it has been burned to the ground and the suspect is one of his newsie buddies, one of his only friends. He comes up with a plan for the other Brooklyn newsies to still sell papers and make money, put he is busy trying to prove his friend innocent... and then he meets a girl who spit-shakes and has mad fighting skills. And she's better than he is with a sling shot. Will he be able to control his feelings for this girl while at the same time prove his friend innocent? Of course he will! He's Spot Conlon!
