Iris and Clove were forced to compete in the 75th annual hunger games quarter quell. They were spilt up when Beetee came up with a plan that would kill the other tributes. But as soon as Iris heard a cannon panic set in as she searched for Clove only to find the wire by itself. In search of Clove a unexpected explosion happened sending Iris flying, darkness overcoming her. She woke up in a hovercraft with loads of people around her that she didn't recognize and didn't answer her questions. So now she is left in the darkness all alone with questions in her head. Life for victors is still hard. Nobody wins the game; there are only survivors. Johanna knows that well since her win in the 68th game and her family suffering the consequence of her not bending the knee to the Capitol. She grew cold, distant, and snappy more than before, an angry woman, sending off two tributes to die each year, having stopped caring about anything since there was no one left to hurt to get to her. That was until the 71st group of tributes showed up, a boy and a girl born into the wrong district, to the wrong fate. This is a fanfic about Clove Kentwell and Cato Hadley, from the hunger games. The main characters belong to Suzanne Collins, but the story is different than in the original books and moovies.
