But at least, this way, she would be able to live her life, far away from the cruelties that threatened them every minute as they had gotten closer to the Signal Tower. After the Signal Man had taken her, he devoted himself to getting her back no matter the cost. There was no price too big to pay. He would give up everything for her. Alternatively: If given the choice, Mono would totally sacrifice himself to save Six, if the circumstances were set up that way. Basically, the ending of Little Nightmares 2, but slightly different. The real ending broke me, and was nothing but angst, so here's angst with a happy ending. Beware of spoilers. Also, the mass of flesh and eyeballs is officially called the Squirming Abyss, so I will be referring to it as such.

I find myself in a room with a music box, there's drawings on the wall with chalk, I look around but there seems to be no way out. I look at the music box in front of me and I notice it's blue with an eye on it. I smile and start turning the handle. Music floats around the room and I'm soon lost in the melody. Suddenly there's a crashing sound and I scramble under the table behind me. The bottom of the door leading into my room breaks apart as a boy with a paper bag on his head busts through with an axe. But she couldn't just leave him to die. As soon as they're out of the Pale City, she plans to run away from him. The screens have other ideas. When Six and Mono are forced to travel through a television, there's a glitch. Although separated by different signals, they're sent to the same place - the Maw, a feeding ground stranded in the ocean. Mono, thrown into seemingly-peaceful rooms, wants to find his way back to Six and escape with her. Six, lost in the darkest depths of the ship, wishes to escape by herself; seeing all others as a threat. It's not simply a fight against the outside world anymore. Without each other to lean on, with danger brewing, with darkness found inside and out...the two may not make it out alive. One thing is certain.
