Jace has been a part of the NY police department for about a year now and even though his own sister was the victim this time, he can't choose family before his job. He swore an ode when he first got his badge and that is something he won't give up on that easy, not even for Alec. 5 years in prison may seem like an eternity and that is exactly what Alec expects it to be, but what he didn't expect was to meet Magnus Bane. He's 23 years old and arrested for murdering his very own stepfather, but the reason isn't what everyone thinks it is. It's much worse. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Magnus doesn't quiet know what's real or not, but one thing he knows for sure is that ever since Alec Lightwood arrived at the prison, the voices in his head has begun to disappear. They and The Clave will do anything to get their hands on the Mortal Cup; the most important thing in the shadow world. Before downworlders do, better yet before Valentine does.
