His parents try really hard to get him to be a girl and after he got into a fight at school he has to go to detention where he meets a boy called Devin. While his own view about himself is challenged, he finds himself touching rock bottom. But Nick is just trying to be accepted as himself, Unapologetically. This is a story written for pride month 2024. Don't worry, I did do research about being trans, but if you are a trans person, and there is anything you feel like isn't right or lacking in this story, feel free to let me know! This is the story of a child, born with both male and female genitalia, and raised as a boy for several practical reasons. As he grows into a young teen, keeping this secret from his brother and all of his friends, becomes increasingly difficult. Knowing that he has genitalia of both sexes, he struggles with lots of what if's and why's, and he wonders if this life as a male is what he wants or would he rather live as a girl. Add to his problems, the onset of puberty. Now a decision is needed before nature decides for him. Disclaimer and warning: Although this story starts out innocently as do most of our own life stories, as the story progresses, themes will shift along with the possibility of mild sexual descriptions. This serves as your only warning.

Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.

Matthew has always wanted to be Miya, practically since birth. But who can she tell? Her family is in shambles after her father left to be with his mistress. Her friends are oblivious, what with her guy friend trying to get together with her girl friend. Even strangers tell her what a nice and 'handsome young boy' Matthew is, and hope she doesn't change from that. Is this the one thing Matthew has to go through alone? Or would there be a little help for her to reach her goal to become who she really is? Karl is FtM trans, closeted at home but finally free to be himself once he starts college. He planned to stay hidden and just stay unnoticed so not to get into any trouble. But a rather popular music student finds his way into Karl's life, and his plans change. This book is written purely to vent and give me something to do, also to maybe help those who need it :) possibly even educate a few. Growing up is difficult. The body goes through changes. Hormones mess with you. Everyone gets bullied at one point by someone. For Zora, it was worse. Not only was she bullied at school, she was bullied at home, abused by her father. She was a disgrace in everyone's eyes. Constantly suffering, she needed something that would give her hope and make her feel good about herself. Though it caused her to be bullied even more, she didn't care. She would live her life out and proud as a woman, despite how everyone saw her as a man. Hope meant nothing to her until the day her father died, prompting her to move in with her mother and stepbrother in New York, away from her transphobic community in Georgia. But moving didn't mean everything would suddenly get better. Dealing with transphobic bullies and a stepbrother who doesn't understand who she is, Zora worried she'd always endure constant ridicule. But moving somewhere new could lead to better things, like an accepting mother, friends, and a boy who finds her to be the most beautiful girl alive. Change meant new things were going to come, and if the world wasn't going to change for her, she'd have to change it herself. Yes there are different hair styles, different builds and heights, but all an onlooker would notice was a dance squad working hard to perfect their routine. This is a story of a happily married Chris, and his loving wife Meredith. Chris and Meredith enjoy their life together. Both have well paying jobs, a big house, plenty of good friends, and a healthy, loving marriage. That all changes however, upon a getaway to Florida, when Chris is transformed into a 13-year old girl. Now a girl, she discovers the challenges of being a young teenage girl, and learns to embrace her new identity. This is a full length novel that I've been working on for a while.
