When Mxy visited Kara for the second time to help her fix her past he accidentally left a different type of tape at Kara's house. The tape wasn't leading to a place where Kara could fix her friendship with Lena but rather a part of the multiverse. An alternative reality where she became something else. When she tried to watch the tape it sucked her into it's world and instead of putting her inside the body of the Supergirl already existing there, she stayed her own while the other Kara was out there. Without Mxy, Kara had to find another way to get back home while dealing with a distrusting Alex and people being deathly afraid of her. What happened here? What did she do and what happened to Lena? Kara lands herself a new job as caretaker for the Luthor's. She's to take care of their youngest daughter Lena, who's been forced to move back in with her mother after a devastating explosion at her job, causing multiple fatalities and her brother's incarceration, nearly killed her too. That's been a year ago and physically, Lena is fine, but she has a severe depression and needs someone to look after her. That's where Kara comes in. During her time with the Luthor's she slowly finds out there's a little more going on, though. Kara, Lena, and Andrea team up as one more threat shows up in National City, and before Kara can make a final decision whether she comes out as Supergirl, she will first go through a whole introspection. How different would the story have been if Andrea's character would have taken a different path? What if she had had a better character development? Is Kara quite sure she wants to come out yet? Would she want to take more time? What is next for Lena? This story addresses all of these subjects, blending them all together in one story-line.
