The Justice League somehow winds up several years in the future... Or maybe it's an alternate universe? After all, there seems to be an extra kryptonian protector of this time's Metropolis, one that goes by "Superboy". Alternatively: Clark is ecstatic to see another kryptonian, even if it's one from a (maybe?) alternate universe, but... his fellow kryptonian doesn't appear to share the same feeling of immediate kinship. Luckily enough, Superman wasn't known for giving up!

"Welcome back to the Wayne Mannor,Miss Gordon..." *** His jaw clenched and I could feel his muscle tence where I hooked in with him. This was a strange reaction coming from him. Was it jelousy. Impossible. "Excuse us..."he pulled me aside and guided me to an attatxhed room. It was the downstairs study. I opened my mouth but found myself incapable of speech. He had pressed his lips against mine,his eyes staring at me in hunger. His toungue brushed my lips pleadingly and I opened up to him. I felt his hand slip through the slit in my dressed and travelled dangeriously high. He pulled back only to start kissing down my jaw then my throat... I moan had sliped my mouth and he responsed with a growl. "Babs..." Barbra Gordon ends up winning a lucky draw she didn't sighn up for and finds herself at an emotional crossroad. Inbetween crime fighting there's life. Life for Batman and Superman even if their villains don't see that. Batman especially has been dealing with more than he can handle and Clark is tired of seeing his friend so stressed out. So Clark suggests a trip to his parent's farm that Bruce reluctantly agrees to. Bruce knows he'll regret it, but goes anyway. For what reason..he doesn't know.

The silence of the night made it seem as if someone breathing too loud could make the silence shatter into a million pieces. My voice was no exception, and I was terrified that if I spoke to loud, even one word, the it would shatter, along with everything in the room. The silence seemed to make my voice feel smaller than it was, so when I finally heard his footsteps again, it shocked me to hear how loud and distinctive each one was, as if the silence broke just for him. As if he ruled the silence. It's as if he didn't even view the silence as fragile, but a force that he had to over come.
