Dea Price is a runaway- or rather she was a runaway. When her mother's rants about the man who lived behind the mirror and who would one day come for Dea became too much, she left.

Two years later, Dea is forced home to help her estranged brother bury their mother.

Coming home forces to Dea to confront her past, and also brings an interesting group of strangers into her life. At first, Dea is sceptical, but when she begins exhibiting inhuman powers, she has no choice but to trust, something that doesn't come easy to her.

Slowly, Dea learns the shocking truth. Her mother wasn't crazy or vindictive. The man behind the mirror is real, and he is coming for her.

Dea learns that she belongs to a special race of humans who possess abilities such as mind control, telekinesis, and superhuman strength. She is thrust into the middle of a turf war, and tasked with protecting herself, and the family she never knew she had.

Dea must learn how to control her budding powers, but she also must decide who she can trust, and what is and isn't worth fighting for.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

Caleb gets his life back on track, enrolling at college and even meeting a girl whom he used to know as a child. The two of them begin to date each other, and everything seems great for a while. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. The Lost and the Hidden

17 parts Ongoing

A dystopian story in which people have unnatural powers Lorelai Walters can't remember much of her past. She's always lived on the streets, she never knew home. Then one day, some soldiers turn up in a shopping center where she's staying for the night. They take her to a place where more teenagers live. It's nothing like a home. There, they have to train, though nobody knows what for. When Lorelai decides not to do what she's being told and take things in her own hands, she doesn't know what awaits her. As she tries to escape the people trying to use her-and many others-for their plans, for the first time, she gets the chance to find out what happened to this destroyed and abandoned world-and maybe also about her past. English isn't my first language, so I'd be happy to receive some criticism and also tips. I'd like to know if my story is interesting, so I know if I should go on and how to improve it :) I know, my writing isn't so good in the beginning, but I think it gets better throughout the story.
