Baz is the son of Mr. Pitch, the CEO of Pitch Industries. Instead of focusing on his business studies like he knows he should, Baz spends his time at the local tennis club. He has an obsession with the polo shirts, the courts, the racquets, and even a new obsession with the boy who works at the coffee shop next door: Simon Snow. Simon is a hard-working student who hasn't decided on a major. He has decided that he's got a passion for coffee, tea, and scones, so he works at the local coffee shop. His life is boring until one day a certain customer with long hair and pale skin comes in, fresh off the court and ready to steal his heart: Baz. Ranked #1 in the snowbaz tag! Eight weeks into their Eighth year, Baz finally arrives at school, ready to stun Snow with his arrival and then hopefully spend the rest of his school year hanging on to the edge of sanity as he only allows his desires the minor indulgence of watching his arch-nemesis (whom he's secretly in love with) as he unknowingly sleeps. Baz's plans are immediately put to a halt, however, once he returns to find that Simon Snow has been cursed, is chronically ill, and is due to die in less than a week. But breaking the curse is easy - all Baz has to do is admit that he loves the other boy more than anyone else ever will. Penelope has to return some books to the local library. Simon tags along with her and he meets Basil, who is a "jerk" (Simon's words) librarian. Of course Simon complains non-sotp and Penelope, Shepard and Agatha make a plan to get Simon and Baz together.... These are Rainbow Rowell's characters!!

Ever since Baz was a child, he heard stories of the miraculous Simon Snow and his incredible adventures in Neverland. For Baz, stories of Simon are more than just stories--they are true. The tales become his way to escape his harsh reality and his old-fashioned family. So, when his sister is old enough to understand, he tells her about Simon Snow and his battles with The Insidious Humdrum and how he and his fairy help-mate, Penelope, save Neverland on a daily basis. What Baz doesn't know is that there's always someone lurking outside his window when he tells these stories. Ever since Simon was born, he knew that the real world wasn't the place for him. His mother died during childbirth and his father, in turn, became an abusive drunk. So, when Simon was seventeen, he escaped to Neverland where he would never have to grow up and be like his father. Now that he's been there for so long (he lost track of the years overtime) he starts to wander back into the real world to see how things have changed. One night he hears, through an open window, a silky voice telling stories of Simon Snow the Great Adventurer. The boy that didn't want to grow up. So Simon hovers outside the window night after night, just to hear what the boy has to say. One night, Simon finds himself going in through the window to try and find his shadow and meets the mysterious story-teller. Who, as he finds out, is not just mysterious--he is incredibly attractive.

Penny finds a way, a last hope. Simon takes on the job and travels to an alternate universe, when the truce and the visiting never happened. Where he and Baz are at different sides of the war. He's do anything for Baz, even if he loses his life in the process. But will he succeeded in his mission, or will he mess things up as usual, and lose Baz's one last hope of survival. Three stories about Simon, Baz and Penny taking place half a year later after the epilogue of Carry On... The first one is about their anniversary, the second one about Baz and Simon confronting Baz's parents on a Christmas dinner and the third one is about Simon having a bad mental health day and how Baz and Penny cheer him up. (Written long before Wayward Son came out!!!)

It's been ten years since Baz was kidnapped by the Enenra, ten years since they fought a giant, wyrm-like beast while saying their wedding vows. For ten years, they've enjoyed domestic bliss. They bought a house, adopted two kids, got jobs. They don't worry about what will attack them next, they worry about their oldest daughter's first year in school.
