Commission for my best friend, Katie (ily nh)!!

Short reddie book that was originally a one-shot.

It's the 1930s, and Richie Tozier is a navy boy who works hauling cargo at the shipyard by the bank. Eddie Kaspbrak is the banker's son who can't keep his eyes off of Richie, looking through the window of the bank. When they meet, Eddie refuses to give Richie his name until he "earns it." So Richie vows to earn the window boy's name, no matter what.

"Eddie could feel Richie's eyes burning holes in his back, but he didn't turn around, just tensed a bit. He wasn't sure why. He guessed he knew that if he turned and looked, he'd be met with chocolatey eyes and dark, playful curls and milky, clear skin and an award-winning smile with full, soft lips and a nose that was always a little pink and probably a teasing, 'like what you see, Kaspbrak?' and huge, dorky glasses that somehow brought out every feature spectacularly, pitting them against each other in wonderful juxtaposition.

And Eddie didn't know if he could look at that without really, truly falling in love."

"You have to admit, Richie. Connor, Mr. James, all the fights you get in, my mom being crazy, everything going wrong right now... the common denominator is me." "How would you even know what the common denominator is? You hate math." Richie argued back, earning a small smile from Eddie. "The common denominator is obsessiveness. Not you Eds." Eddie smiled more at this and laughed. "You're obsessed with me?" He raised a brow at Richie. Richie poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, contemplating this before giving him a soft smile. "Something like that, Eddie." ~ Secrets are no stranger to the Losers club. Eddie struggles with a past he had forgotten, brought up by a familiar stranger making an appearance in the midst of chaos. Richie learns to become comfortable with his own secret once Connor threatens to reveal it to the school. Connor is out to hurt him, to get revenge on Richard Tozier. But for what? Soon he realizes the way to hurt Richie, is to go after the thing he cherishes most. Something is off to group of friends and they begin to suspect play from a demon fought years ago, seemingly gone forever. Change happens whether you like it or not. Something's can't die. I own none of the characters. If you haven't seen It chapter 1 and 2 you're gonna be confused. A lot of the important details in this story are based off the two movies and the behind the scenes and deleted scenes stuff. Also some details from the book, although if you haven't read the book you should be okay. Enjoy 😉 **** Disclaimer: The title photo DOES NOT belong to me! Eddie Kaspbrak swears he keeps seeing things, hearing things, things he cannot explain without sounding crazy. He believes he is being haunted. Haunted by a ghost that calls himself Richie Tozier. Eddie must be crazy, everyone thinks so... but in a world where all Eddie is is ignored maybe a friend could do him some good. Even if that friend happens to be dead. A story in which a boy falls in love with his ghost. Illustrations by myself (@doubleawrites) x (Disclaimer: clearly this story is going to talk about topics like death and grief so if you are sensitive to those topics this may not be the book for you. However, I won't venture beyond any distasteful limits and will keep it rather mild :) )
