Patrick Ryan woke up one morning to a nightmare. The beautiful Casey Rose is missing, her parents murdered, and her tight-knitted group of friends are left reeling. Getting taken was never our plan. Meeting them wasn't so much of one either. What if one day you were with your bestfriend in the entire world. Safe, sound, protected. Then the next moment your taken and shoved in a place where you didn't know anyone else. That safe protected bubble popped. Would you kill yourself? It wouldn't be that easy. Watched every second of everyday. You knew not to make a mistake. They weren't mean, protective maybe. "Who knew why we got taken." 'Was my bestfriend even taken?" "Am I even safe?" Those were the questions running through Kaitlynn and Nicole's heads. What would you do, if you were taken by them?

It was the kind of news that sends shockwaves through a community, the kind that changes everything in an instant. There had been a murder, a gruesome and inexplicable crime that left everyone on edge. The investigation was intense, with police scouring for clues and answers, but the fear lingered. For these friends, the carefree summer they had envisioned seemed to slip further out of reach with each passing day.

I saw a figure step out from behind a counter, and what I saw left me speechless. A tall figure appeared, but he was nothing like I expected. He was unusually pale, tall and had brown hair. His eyes were brown, and sad looking. He stood there awkwardly, as he saw my taken aback expression. I shook my head and smiled at him. Phil moved to a new house, but it wasn't an ordinary house. It's where he met Dan, but Dan wasn't the same as anyone else he had ever met before. Dan was a ghost. But Phil wasn't going to let that stop him from making the unhappy ghost Dan happy again, or even his feelings toward him.
