This is some Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfiction! A lot of the story is just about Spike and Buffy being cute together. It takes place after Sunnydale exploded and the scoobies are just trying to find their new place in the world. Buffy finally thinks the slaying job is over but what will happen when she realises it's not and how will she feel with someone new in her life that will change things.

The Hellmouth is closed and Buffy and the gang are moving on. Not only must Buffy face the loss of her love but she must face her new destiny. In the midst of facing her destiny, a new evil pushes her into working with an old flame and she discovers something shocking..... Spike isn't dead. Follow her as she embraces the changes in her life and tries to figure out her romance with Spike once again. I believe this was my first attempt at writing long-form fiction, back in 2003. Fan fiction was a fantastic way to get my sea legs, so to speak. It's interesting to see where I was then, as a writer. Re-reading it, I had to stop myself from editing anything. I had a good chuckle at the unabashed, sappy romance of the story, but I'm still rather fond of it. And proud. Summary: Set mid-season 6.
