"I was born on June 22nd, 1947 on the wet warm soil of Anniston, Alabama. Where the climate was equivalent to a steaming pot on a stove."

"Alabama a South state that was segregated while I was being called a gentleman..."

"You have to break train tracks, to form a way to justice..."

I scan her face she looks about the same age as me, plus her fingers had blisters and spicy marks on them. I squint my eyes from the blazing sun picking a dandelion embedded into the soil feeling the slimy texture of the stem on my fingers.

"You're playing with dandelions, huh?"

An old fashioned Story... A White Girl named Winnie and her Family move out to a small nearby rural countryside town called Sunny Ville. Winnie came from an all girls boarding school, and her parents do not except Black people into they're family or around they're community, only (what they class as) they're own kind of people. They don't approve of her dating anyone other than who they approve of, and they definitely can't be black. Michael is a young man who works at the Local Organic Fruit & Veg stop in the Town Centre of Sunny Ville in Mr Sail's Shop, they sell everything from Organic Juices, Fruit & Veg, Nuts and Seeds, even Homemade Bread. Winnie's Mother always goes down to the Local Shop for her produce with Winnie by her side. She won't let her tread into the town alone, as she wants to protect Winnie and keep her safe, making sure she behaves and doesn't step out of line. Winnie hates feeling trapped and having to go everywhere with her Mother, or take a private horse and cart to school, that takes her straight there and back everyday. She feels like a prisoner. Michael want's to break her out of her shell, and show her the World she is missing out on. During this time, it was unacceptable for Black and White to mix and if you were ever seen with each other, trouble would be brewing in the Town, and everyone would stare and despise on you. Mr Sail is a White man too, who agrees that Black and White people are fine to mix amongst each other. But he just pretends to the Town that he doesn't approve, and keeps Michael as his lower assistant worker when actually they get on so well, just so the Town wouldn't ridicule Mr Sail. Winnie and Michael laid eyes on each other when Winnie's Mother first went into the Local shop for dinner. That's where it began...

⚠️Although not necessary, I suggest you read Torn first since this story references characters from that story and may contain some spoilers. ⚠️ Alicia Williams is a high-spirited, headstrong, and successful young woman who has worked hard in her career to buy her first home by the age of 30. Settling into the quaint, quiet neighborhood was supposed to be easy. Especially since her best friend Mia, lived just around the corner. Her plan was to introduce herself to her neighbors and build a friendly rapport with all of them. However, when she meets Noah McCarthy, she's flabbergasted by her (unconventionally) handsome neighbors crude attitude. He's a bad boy; there's no doubt about it. He's filled with tats, loves bikes, and has a complete disregard for societal norms and others feelings. This leads to a never ending feud between the two neighbors. The last thing Alicia will tolerate is disrespect! Eventually, lines begin to blur and these two enemies can't help but notice how attracted they are to one another despite the hatred they harbor and the differences in their personalities. Follow along the journey with Alicia and Noah as they navigate through their hatred, confusion, and their eventual love for one another.
