Jack's bandmates Rian, Zack and Alex are told that Jack has stage four cancer and the doctors are surprised it has gone unnoticed for so long. The four boys decide to spend Jack's final days on the road, travelling to all the places that holds memories of their friendship. Alex has been in love with the sick boy for as long as he can remember. After some convincing, Alex decides it's best to tell Jack how he feels before its too late but does someone else beat him to the chase? But sadly, one day their fun will have to come to an end... I huddled into Rian, afraid. Daddy was screaming, I could hear his footsteps thundering. "Shh, Nikki" he says, holding me to him with one arm. "Hold tight" I cling to him like a monkey, and he holds me with one arm, the other opening the window. Rian climbs out the window, and down the pine tree right by the roof. <•> "I'll come back for you, Nikki, okay? Don't forget me, I'll see you again, I promise." <•> "I promise." That was seven years ago. Little Nikki is fourteen, and she hasn't seen her now 18 year old brother since. But she kept hope. Ri wouldn't break his promise. Right?

My writing has improved vastly since then, and while I still love All Time Low with all my heart, I am not nearly as cringey nowadays. (Or at least I'd like to think that I'm not!) ______ "I need a room for a night?" I ask the lady at the check in desk at the hotel. She didn't question the tears running down my face, or my phone buzzing in my pocket like crazy. I made a scene, and now I have to lay in the bed I made. The bed Zack and I made. "Yes ma'am, I need your credit card on file." "Here you go." I hand her my card and give her a small smile. "Have a nice night." She hands me the card and keys, and I'm just glad I had my phone charger and my credit card. I get another call, and it's Alex, I decided to take it, "Hey." I say, as strong as I can. "Thank you for finally answering, are you okay? Where are you?" "I'm just straight in town, I'm in a hotel. I'm fine. Is he okay?" - Alex has a little sister, and she learned to keep quiet. Not because he wanted her to, but because she wanted nothing to do with the public eye. Maybe it was the boyfriend too, she didn't know. Now she's working for All Time Low, trying to moce on from her life that she wants to forget. She wanted to forget how bad she was treated, how awful she felt. Finding love, was never in the plan. She didn't look for it, but it looked for her. Love finds you in comfortable places, when you need it most. It comes with a layer of Protection.
