This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone. The King of the Gods agrees and even recommends Hades kidnap Persephone, since it's unlikely Demeter will agree to the marriage. Persephone is a young Goddess of Earth curious about the world of the mortals. She's always helping her mother Demeter, but one day while watching the mortals she wanders off only to fun into a handsome stranger. After a brief conversation, Persephone finds herself swept away to the Underworld. Will Hades manage to get Persephone to fall in love with him? What will Demeter do when she discovers her daughter is missing and it's all Zeus' fault? Will the mortals be able to survive the wrath of the Gods?

When the Goddess of Spring had successfully escaped the Underworld, The King of the Dead was determined on finding her. In order for her to start a new life, Persephone changed her looks and created a mortal name; Jade Collins. Expecting she'd be far away from the King of the Underworld, she then met a gentleman with a miserable past of his fiancéé leaving him. His name you ask, Nicholas Barnes; Hades' mortal name. And so when fate gets twisted and undeniably confusing, the Goddess of Spring and the King of the Underworld were clueless about each other's real personality. Nevertheless, they fell in love with each other as a mortal. Will Hades know that the lady whom he'd been attached to, is the same lady as his queen whom he was finding? And Will Persephone know that the man whom she'd fallen inlove with, is the same man as his husband whom she loathed so much? She's is finally two hours away from her overbearing mother, and able to live on her own. The first day, as she's walking through the forest, she meets a stranger on the bench. Dark hair, bright eyes, her stomach filled with butterflies. She was drawn to the stranger that sat on the bench. Connecting to him, they soon see each other more and more. Little did she know, it's the God of the underworld, and he's falling in love with her every second of the day. This is the story of Hades and Persephone. From having a normal, average life, you wouldn't have known that somehow, I am now involved with the mythological world of gods. In particular, the God of the Underworld, Hades. It sounds like the love story of Persephone, where Hades fell in love with her at first sight, but my Hades? No. He's brusque, rough and more than a little surly. Yet, here I am. The one falling in love with the god who no longer loves. Me? I'm his Persephone, destined to be his forever. Or so the Fates say. They say I am the reincarnated goddess herself, a Descendant of Persephone. Yet somehow, it seems there is more to this than we all seem to think. Perhaps it is more than just a love story.

Emma can communicate with the dead, heal flowers, plants and sometimes, even animals. But that doesn't mean she's happy with any of it. When her gifts catch the attention of Hades, Lord of the Underworld, he offers her a deal; willingly live with him in the Underworld for six months of each year, apprentice herself to his wife, Persephone, Goddess of Spring, and he'll teach her to deal with the spirits of the dead. Persephone has already been kidnapped by Hades, her unwanted and unexpected suitor. Demeter has already cast a famine on all the humans in her grief. Hades struggles to win Persephone over...but perhaps Persephone has always been meant to be with him, and she wasn't an innocent as she was thought she was...
