The First in the old Series!

As the 21st century continues, Mankind is completely unaware of a whole other world that shares the planet with them. A world deliberately concealed for both of their sakes. A world mankind has forgotten. A world of magic.

Citizens of this world are at risk of being discovered every second of every day, as our jets, boats, and even undersea cables run through their lands in the middle of the three major oceans spanning our planet. The only luxury protecting them is their long tradition of remaining forgotten by humans beyond their borders, and their magic making that tradition a reality.

But as life goes on for the likes of Atlantean's like Gemini and Paige, a mysterious threat begins to emerge; to Atlantis in particular. A threat that could pose dire consequences for every living being on Planet Earth.

This is the Intro and 1st installment for my old Shards Series. I hope you enjoy it! Pls 💬 and ⭐️!

Shortly after Theda Desmond replaces Professor Binns as Hogwarts' new History of Magic teacher, she learns that she possesses a rare talent known only to the legendary Altier family, former founders of the French Ministry of Magic who mysteriously went missing 200 years ago. As she works to uncover the secrets of her curious origins, she develops an unlikely bond with the brooding Potions master, Severus Snape. As their friendship grows, the two begin to recognize that they share a common pain that few have experienced. Will their unique ability to understand each other set them on a course toward healing and new beginnings, or will the ghosts of the past return to tear them apart? *** 🥇in #alanrickman *** While the nature of this story wanes between humorous and romantic, it is also, in many ways, a story about the non-linear nature of grief. I hope you enjoy it. This is my first ever fanfic! Please vote for each chapter if you're enjoying the story, as this will encourage me to continue updating it regularly! Thanks! *** TW: This story will occasionally make brief references to issues such as body image, death, abuse, etc. but I try to do so in a way that is approachable for everyone. *** *This is a slow-ish burn, but patience pays off! *Our story follows the timeline of Chamber of Secrets, but will continue into later years. I do my best to keep to the canon timeline. *Adult content will be featured in future, but will not be necessary to the plot & can be easily skipped. *All original characters from Harry Potter belong to JK Rowling. *All original characters are my intellectual property.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Shadows of Atlantis Part One: Awakening

12 parts Complete

Atlantis is an idyllic paradise where citizens are meant to live in alignment with nature, and reach their highest potential. With advanced crystal technology, their cities are powered by the psychic emanations of the people, who make mindlight donations to the Crystal Grid. But the experiment has begun to crumble. Atlantis has been invaded by shadows who have infiltrated the Grid. As the people slowly lose sight of their original design, those less fortunate are inhabited by these terrifying parasites who feed off the negative emotions of humans; an epidemic called the madness. The highest levels of government have been infiltrated. As the madness spreads, very few take notice of their gradual loss of free will and connection to one another. Those who can see must consider revolution, or perish with their people forever.
