Tord was emotionally damaged after shooting Tom out of the sky. He thought he had killed him.
Edd was trying to keep his friends happy.
And Matt? Matt was mad at Tom. He wanted to choke Tom until he couldn't and wouldn't breathe. 
And Tom? It didn't effect him much. Even if he lost an eye and his left arm and the left side of his face is fucked up, he didn't really care.
