The time has come for Damian Wayne to learn to get along with society, and in his father's words, that means going to a real 'human infested' public school. When he is forced, with much anger on the subject, to attend Gotham Academy, he must learn how to survive without using a katana, or brute force, when he feels threatened, and to 'socialize' with whom he thinks he has no place. He believes, soon, that he will be the boss, since he is the son of Bruce Wayne, however, because of his shorter size and his higher IQ, the other kids in his grade begin to tease him, and leave him questioning his place. Seeking to find where he belongs, after an argument with Bruce, Damian returns to the League of Assassins, to claim what's rightfully his, as the next Ra al Ghul. There, he must make a choice that'll define his future. Will he stay with the League, or return home to his father and family just in time for the holidays? Damian must choose his destiny... With all the Batfam included.
Written in honor of my clearly anti-social sis's favorite DC fam and character and to all the Damian fans that feel he needs some written adoration.

DC Series Book One "No don't..." But her arms go up and the mesmerizing portals appear. Through the portal closest to them, the boys can see grass and park benches where concrete and pavement should be. She jumps through and as she does, the portal in front of them collapses. Off in the distance, where the park is, Tim can see her running away, dark hair flying in the wind. "Real smooth Drake." Damian says, striding towards me. "Should've asked for her number while you were at it." --- "Phantom? That's the name you're going with?" "It's a hell of a lot cooler than Robin." She snaps back at him. "Robin was not a name that I..." Tim grabs Damian by his cape as he marches toward her. "Be nice to the guests Damian." Alfred says in a tired voice, interrupting Damian's rant. "Bite me." He snarls at Ria. --- Dabria Tran has lived in Gotham City her whole life. First as a nurtured, well looked after baby, then as an orphaned, forgotten child and now as a desperate, impulsive teenager. At the ripe age of eighteen, Ria is on the streets, fending for herself and dealing with powers she can barely control. It is while on patrol that Tim Drake and Damian Wayne spot this camouflaged girl of the night and try to stop her as she breaks into a local convenience store, not to steal the cash but the food. After obsessively tracking her for a week, Tim finally catches up with her, finding her holed up in an abandoned building with another younger girl she is trying to care for. Bruce Wayne doesn't hesitate to take them in, but Ria's mistrust of them leads to tension in the house. Her powers are dangerous, volatile and no matter how hard Tim tries, he can't get her to open up to him. As Ria's shadowed past slowly catches up with her, the Bat Family finally realizes that they have no idea what kind of forces they're dealing with. Sevanna was the delinquent, the disappointment, the failure of a Wayne. She was always left out, yelled at, given up on, deemed useless, ignored. Nobody in the Wayne family knew where Bruce went wrong in raising her. The rest of her siblings turned out fine. But really, Bruce Wayne had raised her perfectly. Sevanna just had everybody fooled with her drunkyard, hobo facade that she used to protect them. Because in her line of work, secrecy was the key to safety. She and a crew of six other people had already traveled the globe, taking down crime bosses, mafias, and many terrorists. She was more than successful. She was a genius manipulator, a brilliant hacker, an agile femme fatale and a skilled, silver-tongued espionne. But her family is made up of five of the world's greatest detectives, and so it's practically written in stone that their paths would cross. So when they do, it's sooner than expected, and the Batfamily is shell-shocked and amazed. Sevanna, the drunk yard, the hobo, the failure, was actually a badass, crime-fighting fed? Damian is not known for sharing his feelings. Infact, most of his siblings would argue he doesn't even have any. A certain Al Ghul is definitely to blame for that. What the rest of the Wayne's, including his father don't know though, is that Damian is struggling. He's struggling to find his real worth after being forced to be the best his whole life. But no one can be the best at everything. He's struggling to understand all these new feelings and hormones that teenagers go through. He doesn't have the help of his past family, and his new family thinks his stone cold. Words and things that'd he'd normally have no problem ignoring, suddenly start to effect him. worse though, they effect his ability to fight. His thoughts are plagued with Talias voice, constantly telling him how he's failed her. Can he find the strength to say something? Or will he just hold everything in and keep putting up a fake front? . . . Damian - 16 Dick -25 Jason - 22 Tim -20 (I'll add more characters later but other then the parents, most are around this age.) This will eventually turn into a Dami/Jon fic, and possibly a Ja/Tim.
