Something didn't feel right.

I looked around my room slowly; cautiously; taking everything in and trying not to feel too nervous. Perhaps Lure was in my room right now, watching me, silently laughing to himself. I didn't doubt it.

I slipped off my bed and walked around, hugging my waist, and tilted my head. I felt my rough ponytail slide against the back of my neck and over my shoulder as I moved. "Lure?" I hissed, "Lure, are you there?" I wandered around a little, for some reason feeling scared. But why? It was only Lure. He wouldn't hurt me, would he? "Okay, Lure. Quit it. I know it's you. Who else would it-" I stopped, startled, when I heard a strange sound that made me cringe. It was like fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard.

I whipped around and came face-to-face with my mirror. Immediately, I saw the difference. Various scratches were displayed across the glass, forming words. It looked as if claws had written the words in the mirror.

"Deepest apologies, but it was fun."

****Copyrighted**** 'Tell me you don't feel it.' He whispered against my lips, and the trembling that had ceased at the feel of his lips against mine began again with renewed vigor. 'Tell me it's not what you want, and I'll go. You'll never have to see me again.' Swallowing, I looked up at the eyes that had entranced me from the start. I took in his every feature, slowly and deliberately. I thrilled at the feeling of his arms enfolding me, and I inhaled his familiar scent with a trembling breath. And then, then I did the most foolish thing imaginable: I flung my arms about his neck and kissed him with all that I had, almost losing myself in the safety and security I felt. But more than that, I ran. I took his moment of shock, the slight loosing of his arms about me, and tore myself away from him, shoving out the door and into the rain. I suppose I'll never know why he didn't follow me. It was the thing I feared most. I knew that if he came for me a second time, I wouldn't be able to say 'no'. I wouldn't be able to run. But I had to. I had to go. I couldn't let him be hurt because of me. He would live on now, and I would marry another. I had leased my last bit of passion in that one moment in his arms, and as I made my way through the dark streets, I felt myself become dull and lost like the creatures bound in the menagerie. **Much of this was written when I was younger and then I came back later and finished it. There will likely be mistakes. Lots of them.

And they all want me to say something to someone close by and I do the only logical thing. I run. It isn't fair. My older sister is the witch of love, she can charm anyone with a simple touch. My baby sister is the witch of wisdom and she is starting to just know things out of no where. But now I have dead people, and worst of all, I have my unknown mates, first mate. And she is trying to make me change and be just right for him. So I go and see Clarissa, she is the elder witch my sisters and I have talked with about us. And apparently I can see through the second plain. I can speak with the dead, like Ghost Whisperer and A Medium. ~~~~~~Excerpt~~~~~~ "You can see me!" She said and her face turned ecstatic and I blinked and shook my head. "No, please, I need you to tell my mother that I didn't mean to do do this to myself." I took a hard gulp and met the young girls eye. "Please. It is killing her." She begged and tried to grab my hand but it went through me. "Fine, which one is she?" I asked looking around the restaurant. "The one at the front desk... her name is Maria." She said following me as I walked back towards the front. "A? Where are you going?" Ivory asked and I just held up my hand. "Hi, are you Maria?" I asked and saw the girl nod. "Yes, how can I help you?" She asked with what I can tell was a fake smile. "I know this is going to sound crazy... but your daughter is here." "Mina." The dead girl piped in and I looked over at her. "My daughter is at school." She said and looked around where I had glanced. "Mina is here... I can speak to the dead, she wants me to tell you something."

I watched him watch me as he was about to press his fist into the big red button that read "Emergency Fire!". I was unable to form words because, I thought about how hot he looked as he stared back at me with such intensity. It just intrigued me. I finally snapped out of my trance, but not because I'd came to my senses, but because I felt a cold sensation running down my body. I blinked about three times before it finally registered that he'd pressed the button and now water was spilling from the roof, and some students were laughing and playing. My breath hitched in my throat as he came closer. "You really should've worn a more, I don't know, a thicker shirt or bra. Because your two lovely friends are standing at attention." as the words left his mouth, realization caught up to me and I flushed with embarrassment and quickly crossed my arms over my chest. Talk about scarred for life! Jerk. Meet Charm Mill, your typical nerdface. She's the smartest girl in school, straight A's, great punctuality.. eveything in the book. She's also the invisible girl. No one notices her. But, for her, that's a great thing. She feels that going unnoticed means less drama, which is correct. But, what happens when Heath Cullen gets himself in trouble because he's not performing the way he should and the principal forces Charm to tutor him? Will this be a ticket to hell or a ticket for the bad boy to find his true love? Copyrighted. ©

**passage subject to slight change within the book** With his name slipping repeatedly from my lips as we lay tangled in each other's limbs, I ride the wave of a dark yet exhilarating high, throwing my head back to call out his name in one last, loud, unrestrained moan. ------------ A hand suddenly covers my mouth, silencing me, and my eyes snap open, catching the final moments of my muffled cry as I realise where I am; back in the familiar classroom. Faces turn towards me, wide-eyed and shocked, some with surprise, others with something more lecherous. The tingling around my mouth tells me exactly whose hand it is. "Interesting," the source of my desire comments, removing his hand from my mouth and leaning back in his chair behind his desk, phone out. Though he appears indifferent, I can sense the hint of amusement emanating from him. The vivid fantasy evaporates, but the aftereffects linger, leaving me hot and flustered. Still seated behind my desk, I struggle to catch my breath and process what just happened. The confusion doesn't last long before alarm sets in. His quick action saved me from further embarrassment, silencing my unintentional slip before it could get worse. The looks from my classmates confirm it; I moaned his name out loud, in class, without realising it. ------------ Yasmin had everything going for her: a perfect boyfriend, top grades, and a strong faith. Life was unfolding just as she planned, until HE transferred to her school. From the moment Zean arrived, Yasmin felt an unexplainable pull toward him. As tension mounts and secrets come to light, she begins to understand that Zean is no ordinary student. His dark, commanding presence isn't just a cool kid façade, and his arrival at Yasmin's school is for one specific purpose.

Book 1 of "Bloodlust" series. "I'm going to give you one chance to answer me. Where is she?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, terrified. "I swear that I don't know what you're talking about!" I answered, starting to shiver. She smiled wickedly. "You know, the only reason I sent my brother away was because I wanted to interrogate you myself. Whatever he would have done to you doesn't even begin to compare with what I'm going to do to you if you don't answer me. So... One more time. Where. Is. She?" She said, in a condescending tone, as if she was explaining something to a child. "Look, if you want to kill me go ahead. I don't know anything." I said, looking into her eyes and faking the confidence that I definitely didn't have. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side, and for a few seconds I though she wouldn't to anything. My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile. Everything about her showed me that she wanted to hurt me and even more. She wanted me, in every way possible. Rated M(Mature content): Contains triggering content, read at your own risk.

"So your go!" She said, smiling up at me brightly. "Wait what?" I answered with a look of confusion playing upon my face. "Well I just poured my heart out to you..." Fran said cheekily with a wink. "Now it's your go, come 'on Beadle, out with it!" She said raising her eyebrows at me. "Well what do you want me to say?" I asked blankly. "Tell me why you sleep around and then break girls' hearts." She replied with the same perplexity as me, she then bowed her head down to rest on my chest again. She must have felt me tense next to her at her question so she lifted her head and our eyes met. She gave me a reassuring smile and I felt more at ease. "Well it's pretty simple really." I said, pausing dramatically. "I break girl's hearts so that they can't break mine first."
