Christian moved to Indiana in 6th grade, where he was quickly welcomed by a group of boys at lunch. He found it hard to get comfortable around them at first, being the only black kid in the circle, but they all stayed friends until their sophomore year is high school, until Christian moved again. But Christian is back for the summer after they all graduate, and he's ready for a reunion. But he sees a lot can change in a year as he realizes dynamics have shifted, and something happens that changes everything for him.
