Alita's Point of View
It was dark when we got to the gates of Woodbury, we sneak up until a bullet goes past us hitting a vase.
I raise my pistols shooting at the person along with the others, we ducked down behind a car as they continued to shoot at us.
Rick and Michonne shoots one more look before the woman we found stands up.
"Tyreese! It's me! Don't-" She shouts getting cut off by Rick pulling her back down.
"Get down!" He tells her.
"Karen! Karen, are you okay?" Tyreese asks, Karen gets out of Rick's hand and stands back up.
"I'm fine!" She tells him.
"Where's the Governor?" Tyreese questioned her.
"He fired on everyone. He killed them all." She explains holding her hands up.
"Why are you with them?" He asks her.
"They saved me." She explained.
"We're coming out! We're coming out!" Rick tells him.
We got up warily walking out from behind the car our hands are up, but we still carry our weapons just in case they get any ideas as we approached them.
The gate opens with Tyreese and Sasha walking towards us with guns in hand. I dropped my hands going back to put both of my pistols back in the holsters bringing out my crossbow out.
"What are you doing here?" Tyreese asks, Rick looks over at Daryl and I for a second.
"We were coming to finish this until we saw what the Governor did." Rick tells him.
"He-he killed them?" Tyreese asks.
"Yeah. Karen told us Andrea hopped the wall going for the prison. She never made it. She might be here." Rick tells him, but something didn't seem to add up.
So later on we went down to the building where the Governor tortured Glenn, Maggie, and I, I still felt sick looking around the walls of the building, and I tensed a bit.
Daryl seems to notice and held one of my hands, nodding at me as I nodded back holding it back.
"This is where he had Glenn, Maggie, and Alita." Rick explained, motioning towards me.
"The Governor held people here?" Tyreese asks.
"Yeah, he had me, my sister, and Glenn here." I told him, getting unpleasant flashbacks.
"He did more than hold them." Daryl adds as I tensed a little more.
"Is that why you look tense Alita?" Sasha asks, looking at me.
I nodded holding my crossbow up as we got around the corner, as Daryl and I let go of each others hands.
We looked towards a metal door to see a puddle of blood coming out of it, where a thumping sound came from it, Michonne pulls her sword looking at Rick.
"Will you open it?" She asks Rick, as we readied ourselves as he places his hand on the lock.
"One, two..." He counts before throwing it open, inside we see one of the Governor's guys.
Milton I believed laying on the ground and covered in blood, but right next to the door we see feet.
"Andrea!" Michonne says rushing over to her, we head in behind her and see the blonde woman leaning against the wall.
Blood covers her neck and by the looks of her skin, I'm guessing Milton got her before she got him.
I put my crossbow on back, as Rick kneels down in front of Andrea as Michonne pulls her to sit up.
"I tried to stop them." She mumbles.
"You're burning up." Michonne points out, Andrea lifts her hand up and pulls back her shirt and jacket.
There on her shoulder sits a bite, I sigh running a hand through my hair.
Even though personally liked her or never really talked to her but tells stories of Daryl and I hunting that one time...
But seeing someone who wasn't an evil person get bit is still a punch to the gut.
"Judith, Carl, the rest of them..." She trails off.
"Us. The rest of us." Rick corrects her.
"Are they alive?" Andrea asks, Rick looks back at Daryl and I before he turns back to Andrea.
"Yeah, they're alive." He tells her, she smiles looking down before looking over to Michonne.
"It's good you found them." Andrea tells her, Michonne cries nodding, Andrea looks up at Daryl.
"No one can make it alone now." She points out.
"I never could." He says to her, then she meets my eyes smiling a little, I returned it.
"At least he has you, I know you'll take care of him and the group. And..." Andrea starts looking at me
"Thanks for making me smile during that time at the farm, Alita. I'm sorry if I didn't do anything right for you to respect me..." She tells me, I smiled at her, nodding at her.
Since my anger was more towards the Governor, and not her. But yet I felt bad for her...
"I always will. And I'm glad that you were happy during that time. And actually I did respect ya. It just takes me a while to show it." I told her nodding a little, she nods back smiling a bit before her face turns serious.
"I just didn't want anyone to die." She says looking at Rick.
"I can do it myself." Andrea suggested.
"No." Michonne argues with her.
"I have to. While I still can." Andrea tells her, Michonne looks down tears still falling down her face.
"Please?" She asks Rick.
"I know how the safety works." She comments, I think it's back to when they first met.
Since Glenn has told me at the prison, as Rick hands over the gun.
"Well, I'm not going anywhere." Michonne tells her, then Andrea looks around at us before speaking.
"I tried." She tells Rick.
"Yeah. You did. You did." Rick says standing up and leaving the room.
Daryl follows behind him. Soon Andrea looks up at me, I shake my head a little bit.
"I'll see you later, friend." I tell her smiling.
"Can't wait to be talking with you again, even in death." She says happily, and I smiled at her patting her shoulder lightly before walking out the closing door behind me.
I stand next to Daryl as we wait for the sound, no one makes a move when the gun goes off.
I just rubbed my eyes sighing at the lost of another human being in the ever losing battle between the dead and the few living...
-Time skip.-
We headed back to the prison, but we're not alone, behind us is a bus full of people we saved from Woodbury ready to start new lives here at the prison.
Maggie and Glenn closed the gates behind us, the rest of our group walked out to greet us.
Daryl and I walked over to join them as we watched Tyreese and Karen help people off of the bus, the young and old.
Hershel and Ash greets them as they're lead inside, Daryl pulls me into his side kissing my head.
I smiled kissing him gently on the lips pulling him into a hug, I didn't know if the Governor would come back for us.
If he would see that his people were gone, if he would care, but right now seeing our population grow and the people who can help fight any threat that may come gives me hope.
I closed my eyes resting my head on my husband's chest, taking a deep breath I feel the weight of that threat relieves itself makes me smile a little.
But even if these new people don't work out, I know that I'll have my group, my family with me, and honestly that's all I need and want.
Merle... I just hope you are good in Heaven with my other family and friends up there watching over us...
