I huffed and groaned, dragging a giggling Shawn up the stairs of Nate's place. After returning to the backyard, no one took notice that Sam and I's hands were laced together. Maybe because half of us were wasted as shit and the other half acted like babysitters.

As for being in Nate's home, his family was currently out of state. My parents would notice a drunk Shawn, so we thought it was best if everyone would just sleepover.

"Dammit, Shawn." I shrieked, accidentally letting go of his torso, causing him to tumble down a few steps.

"I need help," I whined. "Sammy! G! Anyone!"

I instantly heard the padding of feet and in seconds I saw Sam, Jack G, and Johnson. I blew some hair out of my face and pointed to Shawn.

"Help?" I croaked, a laugh escaping my lips. The three boys laughed at me and helped Shawn up, bringing him into the guest room. I returned to the living room and saw a somewhat chaotic sight.

"Look at meeeee!" Nash squealed in his sitting position, flailing his arms around his head.

"Thank god you're not drunk tonight," I sighed in relief at Blair and Cam. She was helping clean up a wasted Matt while Cam flew up from his spot on the couch to stop a crawling Nash. Serena was passed out, Nate was gradually coming off his high, Matt previously spilled something on himself, Shawn was upstairs knocked out, and Nash was escaping Cam's grip. This is the life. So great right?

I hopped up from my sitting position and grabbed a few water bottles and a bottle of aspirin, placing it on Nate's coffee table.

I laid on the unoccupied couch and my eyes fluttered close. Not even minutes later, a body hurled itself on top of me, my eyes shooting open.

"Oh shit," I gasped. "Sam, what the hell?"

He got off, only to snuggle beside me, tangling his legs with mine and draping an arm over my waist.

"Can I help you?" I retorted.

"Just layin' on my girl," A smug look on his face, his eyes screwed shut. 'His girl.'

"Your girl?" I tested.

"Wait, your girl?" Johnson and G appeared from the kitchen.

"Your what?!" Blair shrieked.

"Dude, is there something you're not telling us?" Cam crinkled his brows.

"Great job, Samuel," I rolled my eyes. I reminded myself not to give into him so easily. I didn't want to be the one who was heartbroken and left to pick up the pieces. I have to take this slow, and he has to prove to me that I could trust him one hundred percent. "But to answer your questions, no. I'm not his girl."

"Yet," Sam added. "I'm working on it."

"Listen here, Wilkinson." Blair placed a hand on her hip. Here we go. "If you hurt Lily in any way, I'll hunt you down and hurt you so fucking bad you can't reproduce."

"Got it," Sam stammered, eyes wide from fear.

"Just wait until you hear Shawn's speech," I nonchalantly stated, arching my back over the armrest to stretch. He looked up at me and nodded, the same look of fear present on his features.

"Alright!" Cam huffed, successfully getting Nash to knock out. Now that I notice everyone, Cam, Blair, Johnson, G, Sammy, and I were the only people up.

Glancing at the wall clock, it read '4:36' and I instantly felt tired. The lights were off and sleeping bags, pillows, and extra blankets were laid out so we could get comfortable. I looked around the room, observing everyone. Cam and Blair settled into a sleeping bag to fit two. Johnson laid on the carpeted floor, a fluffy pillow behind his head, following a warm blanket. G's eyes were slowly fluttering shut as he cuddled deeper into Serena. His arms were wrapped around her small frame, Serena rearranged so she was in between his legs, snuggling deeper into his chest.

As for Sam and I, he entangled himself next to me while my head rested on the armrest. His right arm was now securely draped over my torso and his head was placed in the crook of my neck. Our legs were still mangled together and knowing I won't be able to escape his grip, I slowly raked my fingers through his hair.

"Mmm," He lightly moaned. I silently laughed.

Even with the dimly lit lamp, I could see his eyes shoot open and he pouted, "Why'd you stop?"

"Do you want me to continue?" I quirked. He nodded, a smile taking over his face.

"Thank you for giving me a chance Lily," He whispered.

I nodded, "Don't make me regret it, Sammy. I'm trusting you not to blow this."

"I promise I won't, babe." He kissed my collarbone, sending chills down my spine.

"G'night, Sam." I softly whispered. My eyelids were feeling heavy as I struggled to keep them open.

"Goodnight, beautiful." He trailed a few kisses along my collarbone and before I knew it, I was out like a light.

I shot up instantaneously at a banshee-like scream, my eyes popping out of their sockets. I must've hit Sam, because he groaned and rubbed his jaw.

"What the fuck?!" I hissed. "Serena, are you serious right now?" I glanced at the clock, '10:26' and narrowed my eyes at her. "It's 10 in the fucking morning. Way too early to deal with this." I cuddled back into Sam's chest, rubbing my face in the process.

Sam mumbled incoherent things under his breath and snuggled deeper into me. I then realized that our position changed. I sunk down to the cushions and my legs were tangled over Sam's. His arm was still over my body. My eyes closed once more, until Serena interrupted.

"When did this happen?!" She squealed, probably motioning to Sam and I.

"Fuck outta here, Ser." A voice that belonged to - from what I could make out was Nate - grumbled. "Tryna sleep."

"Shut up Serena!" Matt whined.

"It's too fucking early," Cam hollered, irritated someone ruined his beauty sleep.

My need of sleep was gone before I could even drift back to a slumber, so I did what calmed me - played with Sam's hair.

"Morning, babe." He croaked, his morning voice raspy.

"Mm, morning," I hummed.

"Is someone going to answer my question?" Serena persisted.

"We're not together, Serena." I sighed.

"We're taking things slow," Sam yawned.

"Don't hurt h-" Sam interrupted Ser.

"I won't hurt her, I promise you that." He directed towards Blair, too.

"Good," Serena smiled. "Now, why is everyone still sleeping? It's Friday! Another party tonight! Y'all should be excited, come on!"

Break was supposed to start next week, but, Huntington High decided to cancel classes today and give us an early start. First semester finals were cancelled and we only have to take it before summer starts.

"We don't have to get ready for another 7 hours or so. Relax, Serena! And plus, you drunk asses decided to keep us up by getting shit faced. So excuse us if we want to sleep in." Blair sassed.

"I agree!" My voice was muffled as I was tucked into Sam.

"Lil?" Sam broke me out of my thoughts.

"Hm?" I mumbled.

"Let's go out today, just you and me." He stroked through my hair, rubbing my back afterwards.

"Alright," I nodded. Giving up on getting another hour or so of sleep, I hesitantly let go of Sam. Immediately, I missed his warmth and touch, but told myself to refrain from getting too attached.

"Babe, come back." He whined.

I laughed, shaking my head, "I'm gonna go make breakfast for everyone, okay? If anyone asks."

I got up, heading straight for the kitchen. Serena was the only one, other than Sam and I, who was awake. She smirked as soon as I came into her line of sight.

"Goodmorning again, Mrs. Wilkinson." She teased.

"Ugh, don't Serena. Not today," I lightly laughed.

I grabbed everything I needed from Nate's cupboards and refrigerator to make breakfast. I began the batter and heated up a pan and the waffle maker. While waiting, Serena and I made small talk.

"Honestly Ser, I don't know if this is the right choice for me. I mean, as soon as Sam and I saw Liza with Mike, he broke it off. But then he jumped to wanting a chance with me. This is happening way too fast, isn't it?" I pondered. Was this happening too quickly?

"Not really, Lil. You and Sammy have been extremely close, even as kids. You always did hang out with the guys more." We laughed at this. It was true, I hung out with them so much I was thinking I'd become a dude.

"And babe, we all knew he never liked Liza. So it was just a matter of time until you two got together."

Turning back to breakfast, I cracked the eggs and placed the bacon over the now hot pan.

"I guess you're right," I sighed. "Thanks for always being there for me, Ser." I went around the island and hugged her tightly.

She squeezed back, "Of course, babe. Love you."

I finished up breakfast and asked Serena to help me set up on the island. We grabbed two bottles of orange juice and decided it was time to wake up the gang.

Quietly walking into the living room, I smirked at Ser, a plan etched in my brain. I tiptoed to the curtains and had Serena help with the other side.

"On the count of three," I whispered. She nodded.

"1...2..." I paused. "...3!"

"Rise and shine, bitches!" We yelled at the top of our lungs. Groans and moans echoed throughout the house.

"Get up!" I hollered. "Last one in the kitchen gets no breakfast. Move, move, move!"

Instantly, everyone scattered around the room, pushing and shoving their way through the small opening.

"Move!" "Ow, you stepped on my foot!" "Stop squishing me!" "Why do I even hang out with you people." "I hate you all." "Someone is touching my ass! Cam! Stop it!"

Eventually, they all managed to get through the door, digging into the hot breakfast.

"Shawn?" I called up the stairs.

"Hey sis," He grinned, coming out of the bathroom.

"How long have you been awake?" My eyebrows furrowed.

"After Serena decided to wake the whole neighborhood up with her screaming."

"Right," I concluded. "Well, breakfast is ready. Hurry before th-" I didn't finish my sentence as he flew past me, sprinting into the living room.

"Don't fucking finish it all, you pigs!" Shawn complained. I shook my head.

Smiling, I headed down too. I could hear an argument over 'who can't touch who's food' so I decide to break it up.

"Guys," I snapped them out. "I'll make more waffles, just chill." Nash immediately let go of the plate, sending Matt flying off the chair and onto the floor. He jumped up, the waffle still on the plate.

"Ha!" Matt triumphed. Nash rolled his eyes, grabbing a piece of bacon instead.

"How many more?" I sighed.

"Two!" Nash, Matt, and Shawn yelled in unison.

"Six it is," I mumbled. As I was mixing the batter, a pair of arms snaked around my waist, lacing their fingers on top of my stomach.

"So, do you have a plan on what we're going to be doing today?" I briefly looked up at him.

He smiled, "Yup, and it's going to be a surprise. Dress casual, love."

I nodded in agreement, and Sam kissed my head, letting me go.

"Woah, did we miss anything?" Shawn gave us a quizzical look.

"What the hell happened last night?" Matt rose an eyebrow.

"Take it away, Sam." I smirked, giving him the honors of explaining. I poured the batter onto the waffle maker and watched it.

"I opened one of the bedroom doors upstairs and Liza was trying to fuck a drunk Mike. She said how it was all a mistake, which I thought was complete bullshit, so I broke it off. I knew it was coming, but I didn't really think she'd go after Mike. But anyway, Lily decided to give me another chance. Which," He paused, looking directly at Shawn. "I don't intend to fuck up, since I really do like her."

I blushed and smiled, looking down. Glancing back up, I noticed Shawn's flexed jaw. Shit.

"Alright Wilkinson," He started. Dammit. "You hurt my sister in any way, and I'll hurt you. Don't think I forgot about that time when she bumped into me crying because of you. This is your one shot, Sam. Don't fucking blow it." Shawn sternly stated.

"I won't do anything to hurt her, Shawn. I promise," Sam replied.

"Waffles are ready!" I changed the subject. I didn't want anyone else to ask about the staircase incident, as it was embarrassing.

"I'm going to get ready," I announced. "I'll see you guys later, obviously," I joked.

"What are you up to, today?" Blair teased.

"Actually, we're going out." Sam interjected.

"Like on a date?" Nate smirked. He seems to be very calm and cool about this. I'm a little worried, but I'll ask him about it later.

"Uh, no. We're not at that 'stage' yet." I shrugged. Sam nodded, "It's just us hanging out."

Everyone nodded in understanding, so I waved goodbye and headed out the door.

"Wait, Lil!" I was already down the driveway when Sam caught up to me. "I'll come with you so we can leave right after."

"Don't try anything," I warned.

"No promises, angel." He smirked.

I scoffed, but continued walking down Nate's driveway, then into mine.

"Mom? Dad?" I called as I stepped in.

"Lily?" Dad peeked his head from the kitchen.

"Hi, pops. Sorry, we all stayed over at Nate's last night. Shawn's still next door. And oh, Sam's here." We made our way into the kitchen and saw my mother sitting at the island with a cup of tea in her hands.

"Morning, mama." I went over and hugged her.

"Hello, sweetie." She kissed my cheek. "Hi Sammy!" She waved.

"Sammy! My boy," Dad greeted as he and Sam hugged.

"Mornin' James! Goodmorning, Mrs. Mendes!" Sam, along with the other guys, have called my dad by his first name for as long as I can remember. My dad said 'it was as if they were his sons' too. (A/N: ik Shawn's dad's name is Manuel, but i just wanted to change it for my story ☺️)

"Are you going out today, cupcake?" My dad averted his gaze down to me.

"Yeah, actually. I'm going out with Sam. Do you need anything, though?"

"Not sure yet, but I'll call you if I do. Thanks, sweetie." I nodded, and excused myself to get ready.

Opening my bedroom door, I immediately re-brushed my teeth and washed my face to remove any leftover makeup. I reapplied my daily makeup afterwards and moved onto my closet. Because my hair was now in loose waves from last night, I left it as it was. I put on a pair of black Vodi shorts and a white crop top, both from Brandy Melville. I shoved my feet into my black high top chucks and grabbed my American Apparel cities bag. (A/N: I actually have this outfit omg HAHA)

Unplugging my phone from the charger, I took one last look in the mirror, checking my appearance.

I let out a sigh, pondering what had happened in the last 24 hours. From truth or dare, to kissing Nate and Sam, to Liza and Mike, to agreeing on giving Sam another chance, and to waking up in his arms.

I lightly smiled to myself.

This could actually work out.
