Clubs weren't ever your thing. Sure, you'd go with Jinx here and there, but you honestly didn't prefer it.
Regardless, this was your life now.
You sat in the VIP section designated for Evelynn while the music played around you. On your wrist was a red wrist band showing your place. Sylas was the owner of this club, and the one who was supposed to pay you.
Y/N: So, I think Sylas knows we're here or something.
Evelynn: Yes. Go get us paid and ask him what the hell is with this.
Evelynn held up a pink champagne bottle with a look of disgust.
Y/N: Champagne. We get three bottles.
Evelynn: Of this? No. I need brown.
Akali shook her head.
Akali: No, no. It's whatever. You know, I get 20% of my drinks for free, so...
You raised a brow.
Y/N: How so?
Akali: I'm that girl. People see me and they want to buy me a drink. What can I say? I'm the Goat.
You rolled your eyes while Jinx and Ahri enjoyed the pink Rosé or whatever the hell it was called. Kai'sa just kept looking around since she had never been to a club before.
Y/N: This is just a club appearance...
Evelynn: And why do I feel like no one cares that I'm here? I mean, see that section? Over there?
You turned around and looked up to the balcony to see the much better VIP section where a guy was partying with some beautiful women.
Evelynn: That should be my section. Who's up there that's more important than me?
You shook your head before you turned back to her.
Y/N: You really are a diva. You want that? You can get it when the EP drops. Til then, let's just focus on getting paid.
Ahri: Yeah. Make sure you keep an eye on that promoter. They tend to be a bit slippery.
Y/N: Yeah. I'll do that. You girls just focus on having a good time. I'll go find Sylas.
You stood up and left the section, the bouncer opened the rope for you, and you dissapered into the crowd.
DJ: How we doing tonight, Primal?!
Everyone cheered.
DJ: No, no, no. How we feeling tonight, Primal?!
The crowd went even crazier.
DJ: Good, good. Yo, we got a surpise tonight. In the house we got none other than Caitlyn!
The crowd cheered while the spotlight shined down in the VIP area on the balcony. Evelynn stared daggers at the pop star who smiled and waved to everyone on the ground floor.
DJ: Yo, and we got your girl, Evelynn!
The light moved to shine on Evelynn who was sitting there unamused while the others were left in the dark. The crowd applauded, but not nearly as much. The DJ resumed the music and everyone went back to dancing. Akali even stood up and started to break it down in the section.
Meanwhile, you made your way through the crowd. You weren't the tallest guy in here, but you were definitely bigger than most. That being said, moving around the crowded floor was a bit difficult. When you had to squeeze past someone, you would bob your head like you were dancing.
Eventually, you spotted Sylas. The guy was talking to some women who were more than eager to hit it off with the club owner. You made your way over and he spotted you almost immediately. You both shook hands and gave a, what Jinx and Akali called, homie hug. You had to talk a bit louder since the music played over your conversation.
Y/N: Hey, what's up, Sylas.
Sylas: You and Eve set up good?
Y/N: Yeah. Thank you. We appreciate it.
Slyas: Everyone go in all right, yeah?
Y/N: Uh, yeah.
Slyas: Cool. Hey, here's some drink tickets. Go get yourself some shots.
Y/N: Ah, actually, I was wondering if we could get paid now. That way we're not bothering you when you're trying to turn in later.
Slyas: Oh, yeah, man. Follow me to the back.
Sylas patted your shoulder and you followed him through the crowd. As you did though, you noticed he was moving kinda weird. He was faster, moved through the crowd with ease, and before long, you lost sight of him. You stood in the middle of the dance floor and looked around confused.
Y/N: How the fuck...?
Back at the VIP section, the girls had a party of their own. Ahri and Jinx were now on bottle #2 and Kai'sa even started to drink a bit. Akali was air drumming to the song while Evelynn sat there bored.
Evelynn: This is all wrong.
Kai'sa: Come on. It's not all that bad.
Evelynn: Why? Cause we're still getting paid?
Jinx: Good enough for me. I don't know if you've ever been broke, but I use to have sleep for dinner.
Evelynn rolled her eyes and looked up at the balcony.
Evelynn: Look at Caitlyn up there, getting all the attention. Screw her.
Akali: Hey, Caitlyn is pretty cool. She got that invisible car.
The girls all looked at the young rapper.
Ahri: Akali, no.
Akali: Yeah. It's like a prototype or something. Look.
She pulled out her phone and showed everyone Caitlyn's Instagram post. The young celebrity was leaning against seemingly nothing.
Evelynn: There's no way that's real.
Akali: I mean, she got photos.
Kai'sa: Ever heard of mimes?
Evelynn groaned and leaned back against her seat as you returned.
Y/N: So, uh, found Sylas. Then I lost him.
You noticed Evelynn looked frustrated as Jinx stood up.
Jinx: I'll handle it. You handle <gestures to Evelynn> that.
Jinx patted your shoulder and dissapered into the crowd. You sat next to Evelynn and looked to Ahri. She just shrugged.
Y/N: Ah, not what you were hoping for?
Evelynn: No.
Y/N: Not having fun?
Evelynn: Does it look like I'm having fun?
You looked at the others. They seemed to be having a good time. You figured the club was more Evelynn's thing than theirs, but it didn't seem like that.
Y/N: Well, hey. Chill out. Look, we can still turn this thing around. Jinx is handling the money.
Kai'sa: How?
You scanned the club and your eyes fell on a group of young men looking towards you all. You smirked a bit.
Y/N: Check it out. You guys already have fans.
The girls all looked over at the group of guys.
Evelynn: How do you know they want us?
Akali: Because they would've noticed this creepy look I've been giving them.
You all looked at Akali to see she was staring at the group like they were a full buffet.
Akali: Physiology.
Ahri: Well, only one way to find out. Bring them over.
Kai'sa: I, ah, agree.
Akali: Mm.
You rolled your eyes as the girls beckoned the men over.
Meanwhile, Jinx shuffled her way through the bar area where she had found Sylas. She squeezed past some people before she was within speaking distance.
Jinx: Hey, Sylas.
Sylas lifted his head and looked at Jinx. He looked at her up and down which made her feel uncomfortable.
Sylas: Hey. You're with that group. Ah, Jenny?
Jinx: Jinx.
Sylas snapped his finger.
Sylas: Jinx. Hey, where did your friend go? I turned around and he was gone.
Jinx: Yeah, he lost you in the crowd.
Sylas: That's all good, girl. Want a shot?
Jinx: No, I-I hate shots. Can we just finish the money stuff?
Sylas smiled as he nodded.
Sylas: I got you. Just let me take these drinks to my ladies, and we'll finish up, alright?
Jinx was a bit hesitant, but what could happen?
Sylas: Follow me.
Sylas grabbed two shots and started to walk off. Jinx grabbed two more and followed him as well. He approached a pair women and smiled.
Sylas: Ladies, this is Jinx.
Sylas kept walking and Jinx stopped to hold up the drinks to them.
Jinx: Hey, ladies. What's up?
The two women looked at her confused.
Woman: Um. No thanks.
Jinx was confused at first. She then caught on.
Jinx: Uh, n-no. It's cool. I'm friends with Sylas.
Woman: We don't know him either.
Jinx looked over at the crowd and saw Sylas vanish. Jinx stood there for a moment before she looked at the shots.
Jinx: I hate shots, man.
Back at the VIP section, Akali stood up.
Akali: I'll be back.
Y/N: Alright. Just remember the agreement. No drinking since you're still underage.
Akali: I know.
She shuffled through the now partly crowded VIP area and reached the rope.
Akali: Can you help me out?
The security dude nodded and opened the area for her to get through.
Bouncer: No problem, Playa.
Akali nodded in approval as she stepped out.
Akali: Thank you, playa.
She laughed to herself as she walked off. She then turned around and walked back.
Akali: Question. Have you ever had to throw out another bouncer?
Bouncer: Yeah.
Akali: How was it?
Bouncer: Hard. He knew all the moves.
Dude: There's the girl!
Akali: Here I am!
The random man handed her a shot which she took. She then handed it towards the Bouncer.
Akali: I can't drink.
Bouncer: Me neither.
Akali: Well then, cheers.
She took the shot and smiled. She then handed the empty shot glass to the bouncer.
Akali: I'm gonna go watch people smoke.
They did a fist bump and Akali dissapered into the crowd. In the men's bathroom, Sylas stepped out of the toilet stall and moved over to the sink. From the toilet stall next to his, Jinx stepped out. As Sylas washed his hands, Jinx watched him.
Jinx: What's up, Sylas?
Sylas looked at the girl confused.
Sylas: Jinx. What are you doing in the men's bathroom?
Jinx: Well, you're slippery as fuck, Sylas. And I want my damn money.
Sylas was surpised by her tone and laughed to himself.
Sylas: Okay. Damn. Just let me finish up.
Jinx watched him with her arms crossed as Sylas contiued.
Sylas: You gonna wash your hands?
Jinx: No.
Sylas gave her and odd look and contiued. Sylas finished and walked out while Jinx turned off the water.
Back at VIP, Akali walked up to the bouncer.
Akali: Yo, I'm back.
The bouncer put his arm out to stop her.
Bouncer: VIP only.
Akali: Come on, man.
Bouncer: You got a wrist band?
Akali: Yeah.
She pulled up her sleeve and showed him her wrist band.
Bouncer: It's purple.
Akali: So?
Bouncer: It needs to be red.
Akali: Oh. Uh, well, I don't have a red one. I do have this purple one and this yellow one.
Bouncer: I don't even know what the yellow one is for.
Akali thought about it as she slowly lowered her hands.
Akali: Yeah, me neither.
Bouncer: Can't let you in.
Akali looked around for a moment and then at you and the others. Everyone was too occupied to notice her so she just shrugged.
Akali: Whatever. This is meaningless. All of this. One day, we'll all be dead. And this won't matter.
Akali backed up while flipping off the bouncer before she left.
Back at the bar, Jinx followed Sylas.
Sylas: Let me get a whiskey.
He then patted Jinx's back.
Sylas: You want anything?
Instead of answering to him, she turned to the bartender.
Jinx: Whatever costs the most.
Sylas: Damn. Really going for my pockets, huh?
Jinx: I earned it.
Sylas couldn't find an argument there. The bartender gave the two their drinks and Sylas smiled.
Sylas: Cheers.
Jinx reluctantly tapped her drink against his and began to drink. As she did, however, Sylas' smile faded and he backed up against the wall. The wall then turned as it activated. When Ninx turned around, she saw the wall move back into place.
Jinx: The fuck?!
The bartender started to laugh which only made Jinx more angry.
Bartender: I'm sorry, but that was awesome.
Jinx: You saw--you saw that right?
The bartender contiued to laugh as she began to wipe the bar.
Bartender: Yes. You should see your face right now.
Jinx rolled her eyes as she slammed her drink down.
Jinx: Thanks. Thanks for th...You're really awesome. Thank you for being you.
The bartender saw that Jinx was mad, so she poured her a shot and slid it towards her.
Bartender: Relax. You don't got to get all sensitive.
Jinx: Look, I know you're not responsible for all of this, but I'm mad, and I'm angry.
Bartender: It happens. My name is Zoe.
Jinx: Jinx. Your boss sucks.
Zoe: Tell me about it.
Back at VIP, you drank your third drink while Ahri and Kai'sa talked to some of the boys. Evelynn, however, seemed a bit down still. You nudged her and got an annoy glare.
Y/N: What's up?
Evelynn: Nothing. I, I'm not just feeling it tonight.
You looked at her and suddenly came to a realization.
Y/N: You ever feel it?
Evelynn looked at you confused.
Evelynn: What do you mean?
Y/N: Well, I honestly don't think the club is for you. I mean, you look so uncomfortable right now.
Evelynn looked around before she moved closer to you so you could talk without the others hearing you.
Evelynn: You want to know a secret?
You nodded.
Evelynn: I hate the club. I hate the people at the club. I hate....all of this.
You were honestly surpised.
Y/N: Really?
Evelynn laughed a bit.
Evelynn: Really. I actually hate being around people.
Y/N: Then why are you always at the club?
Evelynn just shrugged.
Evelynn: Because I'm a diva. It's who I am. I have to keep up appearances.
You looked around the VIP area and shook your head.
Y/N: Not really. KDA is kinda made so you guys could break your molds. Want some advice?
Evelynn nodded.
Y/N: Leave. No one is keeping you here. If you stay, deep down, you want to be here.
Evelynn gave it some thought as you handed her another drink.
Y/N: But, if you really don't want to be here, just pull through for a bit longer. Ahri and Kai'sa are having fun. So is Akali, wherever she is. And if it gets to be too much, me and you can go outside and get some fresh air.
Evelynn smiled at the suggestion.
Evelynn: Thanks, Y/N.
Y/N: Anytime, Evelynn.
Evelynn: Call me Eve.
Y/N: Alright, Eve.
Evelynn: So, since we're the only ones without someone hanging on us, I have some questions about you I want answered.
You chuckled as you picked up a drink.
Y/N: Alright. Shoot.
Back at the bar, Jinx listened as Zoe told her about the club's regulars. Zoe pointed to a man talking to a group of women.
Zoe: See, he's telling them some crap about having connections and being able to hook them up with VIP. See, there are four of them but he's going to tell them that he only has two wrist bands. See, if only two go, they feel special. They have a better time.
Jinx raised a brow as Fiora laughed.
Zoe: Everyone needs to feel special sometimes. Even if it's some janky asshole telling your two friends they can't come in. Why do you think porn exists?
Jinx looked at the small woman confused and almost impressed.
Jinx: Wow. You were Marxist before you got kinda sexist.
Zoe poured her another drink and Jinx sighed.
Jinx: Then what about me? Why am I here?
Zoe: Same as everyone else. To feel good and maybe show off.
Jinx: What do I have to feel good about?
Zoe pointed at Jinx's chest. Jinx was slightly offended, before she realized her dogtags were hanging out.
Zoe: How long you serve?
Jinx: Five years. Joined right out of highschool.
Zoe: And now you want to feel better about yourself since you went through hell.
Jinx was going to argue, but found that she couldn't. She looked down at her drink and back at the bartender.
Jinx: I...
Zoe: Why are you hanging around Sylas?
Jinx: Because I need to get the money he owes me and my group.
Zoe nodded and pulled out the check. She slid it to Jinx and winked.
Zoe: Better tip.
Jinx watched her walk away to help another person. Jinx looked down at the check and picked it up to look at the money she owed. Instead, she found a message.
"Fire Alarm"
Jinx looked over at the wall and noticed a fire alarm there. Jinx stood up and walked over to it. She reached out and grabbed it before slowly pulling it down. Once it was all the way down, the wall popped out. Jinx looked back to see if anyone saw it to. She then entered it and walked into a hall. The music became muffled as she looked around.
Jinx: Okay then. Time to get my money.
Back at VIP, you and Eve laughed your story.
Y/N: And then, he called the cops on me.
Eve: No!
Y/N: Yeah! Just because he saw us with a goat! To be fair, there was that one time where we let it loose in the store.
Eve: What?
Y/N: Yeah. That's a completely different story.
Eve: Tell me!
Y/N: Yeah. I will once I get another drink.
You reached for your glass but found another hand grabbing it.
Man: I'll top you off.
Y/N: I got it.
The guy kept your glass and began to pour you the Rosé drink.
Y/N: Hey, I can get it myself.
Man: My guy, don't flip. We'll empty this bottle and get another.
What? Who, who was this guy? Even Eve was confused. She then noticed her drink was missing as well.
Eve: He said he can get it himself. Who the hell are you?
Man: Oh, I'm, I'm a promoter, man. Actually, I'm a rapper from Harlem. You know ASAP Rocky? A lil back? I don't know them but I do have a CD coming out.
You and Eve looked at each other before Eve scanned the crowd. Even you noticed the increase of people in the area. People you didn't know. Ahri and Kai'sa didn't seem to notice, or care, but Eve did.
Suddenly, someone knocked over a glass of champagne on you and Eve causing you to shot up in anger.
Man: Woah, woah, woah! He's cool, man. He's with me.
Y/N: The hell are you? Who are any of you?!
Eve: Everyone who isn't with KDA, get the hell out of here!
Ahri and Kai'sa were caught off guard by your sudden outburst but everyone else got up and quickly left. They were scared of the growl in your voice and the anger in Eve's eyes.
Once it was just the four of you, you sat back down and sighed.
Y/N: God, damnit!
Eve: I need another drink.
You looked at your glass and saw you only had a bit left. You looked around and spotted a waitress.
Y/N: Hey! Can we get another bottl...
DJ: Yo yo yo! Caitlyn's crew just bought all the alcohol in the club!
Everyone cheered, for some weird reason, as Caitlyn held up a bottle of Rosè.
DJ: So we will not be serving any more drinks tonight.
Everyone got quiet once they realized the situation.
DJ: She owns all the bar, and, uh, I think she's leaving. So....
The DJ just took his hat off and placed it on the mic. The four of you sat there with faces of bewilderment.
Meanwhile, Jinx found herself in an office where Sylas was talking to a woman he had found in the club.
Sylas: Yeah, I can hook that up.
Jinx ended up tripping into the door due to the amount of alcohol she had consumed with Zoe which got Sylas' attention.
Sylas: Girl, what are you doing in here?
Jinx: I want m....
Jinx stopped and leaned over to puke on the floor. She spat out the last of it and turned back to Sylas.
Jinx: I want my money. The $8,000.
Sylas looked at her unamused.
Sylas: You mean your $750.
Jinx: W-What?
Sylas: Let me explain something to your drunk ass. You know what it takes to run a club? The expenses? Let's do some math.
Sylas grabbed a nearby notebook and began to write in it.
Sylas: We made the flyers. Your "team" exceeded their alcohol order limit. And then we had to pay for extra security because y'all are a bunch of pretty women, and that ain't cheap. And Evelynn was supposed to preform.
Jinx: What? No.
Sylas: She was supposed to preform. So all and all you guys get, $750.
Sylas stood up and shoved a few bills against Jinx's chest.
Sylas: And that's me being nice.
Jinx: That, that wasn't the deal...
Sylas: Don't try to play this game, girl. I ain't buying it. Now you better check that tone, get the fuck out of my office, and next time, tell your friend to bring better bitches.
Jinx looked down at the cash and slowly accepted it. Sylas stared her down. Jinx was too drunk to fight. Besides, he was probably taller than you. It didn't look like he skipped gym days either.
So, Jinx did the only thing she could do. She took the money, and walked away.
Back with you and the girls, you and Eve leaned on each other as you shared the last glass of alcohol. Meanwhile, Ahri called Akali.
Akali: Yo.
Ahri: Hey, where are you? We're leaving.
Akali: Oh, I'm already heading back.
Ahri: What? When did you leave?
Akali: Well, I couldn't drink and the guy said I had the wrong colored wrist band or something, I dunno. I was just at the house playing Zoo Typhoon on Y/N's Playstation.
Ahri: Ah, okay.
Ahri hung up and turned to you.
Ahri: Y/N, what the hell?
Y/N: What? What did I do?
Ahri: Akali left. She's been at the house.
You just shrugged.
Y/N: And?
Ahri: Why weren't you watching her?
Y/N: Mm. Probably cause I'm not a babysitter. Why weren't you watching her?
Ahri groaned in frustration while you shit your eyes close in anger. Tonight sucked so much. The only up side to all of this was finally getting closer to Eve, and getting your money.
Or so you thought.
Jinx walked back towards your area looking like shit. You sat up when you realized she had been crying.
Kai'sa: Jinx? What's wrong?
Jinx pulled out the money from her pocket and tossed it on the table. You looked at it.
Y/N: Uh, where's the rest of it?
Jinx sniffed as she wiped her eyes again.
Jinx: He said this is all we're getting. He told me to get the fuck out, and to tell you to bring better bitches.
Your anger was reaching it's peak. The girls looked at her worried while you drank the rest of the drink.
Ahri: What? What did he...
Y/N: Where is he?
Everyone looked at you. No one could see your face though. You didn't sound angry. You just sounded, calm.
Jinx: What?
Y/N: Where is he?
Jinx: In his office behind this wall...
You stood up and tossed the empty glass aside, causing it to shatter. The girls watched you as you walked out of the area.
Jinx: Oh no.
Kai'sa: Oh no? Why oh no?
Jinx: That's the Red Death. We should go with him to make sure he doesn't kill anyone.
The girls all looked worried and immediately began to follow you. Just then, Akali entered the club.
Akali: What's going on here?
Kai'sa I don't know.
Akali: Cool.
She joined the girls as they reached you. You pushed the wall open and began to your way through the hallway. As you walked, you saw red. You reached the door to the office and tried to open it, only to find it locked.
Ahri: It's locked. Let's just go...
You stepped back and kicked the door open scaring everyone. Sylas jumped off the girl he was with as you stormed into the room.
Sylas: Hey, what are you...
Y/N: Where's the fucking money?!
Sylas: I already gave Jinx your....
You didn't even let him finish before you punched him across the jaw. The girls all gasped, except for Akali who was ready to cheer you on. Sylas fell against his desk. You grabbed him but his collar and lifted him up.
Y/N: Where's the fucking money, man?!
Sylas: I-I can write you a check....
Y/N: Do I look like a bank?! Do I look like someone who wants a check?!
You slammed him back down on the desk while Jinx smiled and Akali whistled.
Akali: Mess him up, Y/N!
Y/N: Money!
Sylas: I got it right here, man!
He pulled out a stack of cash and handed it to you. You let him go and quickly counted it before you slapped him across the face with it.
Akali/Jinx: Oh!
Eve: Wow.
You tossed the money to Jinx and walked over to the shelf where you grabbed a case of beer. You handed it off to Eve and walked out of the room.
Y/N: We're leaving.
Everyone followed you, except for Akali who laughed as she walked over to the shelf.
Akali: You should practice better business habits.
She grabbed a second case and walked out to join you and the others. Sylas looked at the girl he was with and smiled.
Sylas: Now that's a manager.
And then he passed out.
-----------
You sat at the edge of the pool with the case of beer at your side as you thought about what you did. Not bad, Rockstar. After the whole ordeal, you all decided it was best to go home.
Eve: There you are.
You looked over at Eve and nodded.
Y/N: Here I am.
Eve walked over to you and sat next to you. You had your legs in the water while she kept hers dry.
Eve: So, that happened.
Y/N: Yep. Sorry if I scared you guys. I just, Jinx told me what happened and...
Eve: It's fine. If anything, it showed us that you care. So, thanks.
You smiled and nodded to accept the thanks. You then offered her a beer.
Y/N: I know it's not exactly the club, but we can party by ourselves if you want.
Eve looked at the bottle for a moment. Finally, she took it. You handed her to bottle opener and she used it.
Eve: What number are you on?
Y/N: Including the club, this is my 10th. Maybe. I dunno. I stop counting after 5.
Eve laughed silently as the music played softly on the Bluetooth. The two of you sat there in silence for a moment as you enjoyed the night air.
Eve: You know, I appreciate this.
You looked at her to see that she was smiling.
Eve: Being famous, people forget that I'm a person to. A human being. I have feelings and thoughts.
Y/N: I would be concern if you didn't.
Eve: And, not a lot of people like to spend time with me because they're intimidated.
Y/N: You are very intimidating.
Eve: So I appreciate you doing something like this. Even though it's small, I do appreciate it.
You smiled.
Y/N: Yeah well, you deserve it. Once KDA hits the charts, we'll do something like this again. Minus the part where I punch a club owner.
Eve laughed.
Eve: I don't know. That was kinda hot.
You found yourself blushing at her comment before you took another drink.
Y/N: Yeah. Thanks. I guess I'm just....used to dealing with people like him. People who think they can do what they want because they have power.
Eve looked at you and then at the scar on your arm.
Eve: Are you ever going to tell Ahri what you did those 7 years you were gone?
You nodded.
Y/N: If she wants to know, she can ask. I don't really have anything to hide.
Eve: Then, can you tell me?
You smirked as you pulled out your dog tags.
Eve: The army?
Y/N: Yep. 5 years.
Eve nodded.
Eve: Is that, something that you want to talk about?
You stared at the water for a moment.
Y/N: No. Not really. Maybe one day. Not now.
Eve nodded in understanding before she leaned on you.
Eve: Well, when you're ready, I'll be here.
You smiled.
Y/N: Thanks. I appreciate it.
Eve: Mm. Hey, you're drunk, right?
Y/N: That's fair to say.
Eve: Good. So am I. Are we going to remember any of this in the morning?
Y/N: Maybe.
That was the last thing you remembered that night.
