The music plays through Calum's head over and over. A catchy tune to add to the new song, to add some color and spice, the right kind of spice to make it just ever so slightly more Zeppelynn's song. His head pounding with the sound of the music, people moving around him almost as if they are shadows.
Did he fall asleep at the studio? He frowns as he hears Michael's sharp tone, the pounding in his head seeming to grow as he tries to wake himself. He had to share this idea with the band before he forgets.
"Calum? Cal." He feels something cold run down his arm before his head seizes again slightly, but he's able to open his eyes finally.
"Have a nice nap." Luke laughs, taking his cold drink off Calum's arm where he had set it to get his attention, the condensation leaving a trail of water on his arm.
"Yeah actually." Calum grins, sitting up his head feeling better, glad the headache was a dream. "I dreamt up a little thing we should add to Wildflower. Give it a little more of a pop!"
"Well show us. Glad your mid morning nap was helpful at least." Ashton laughs, "you literally just fell asleep sitting there. Is everything okay?"
"Still just busy I guess. Keeping up with the album and work and making sure I'm giving enough time to my girl and her recovery. I guess I just got comfortable and fell asleep. Sorry." He laughs.
"Is she doing better?" Michael asks from across the room, "Zeppelynn I mean."
"Ya, she's got things set up with her physical therapist to be set on track to be back to healthy by June so she can make filming for Black Widow in Europe this summer. She's going home today which is exciting."
"I'm surprised you weren't there to drive her home." Luke laughs.
"I debated it. But I wanted to work on the album, get her song finished. And napping today helped that a lot. So I think I chose the right answer. I'll go over tonight after she's had time to settle in and relax a little bit at home."
"Well aren't you just the sweetest boyfriend. Your girl's lucky to have you." Ashton teases lightly, "now show us this change for the song.

"Cal, are we allowed to tell our girlfriends about the new song? Get their opinions?" Ashton asks as they begin cleaning up.
"Why wouldn't you?" Calum frowns over at his best friend.
"You wrote it for Zeppelynn. It's like our unwritten rule if we write one for our girl that they get to hear it before the other girlfriends." Luke shrugs.
"Oh, Zeppelynn heard the demo last week. You're good." Calum laughs, "She absolutely loved it too."
"Sweet. Kay has been asking about it since I mentioned we found what could be the last piece to the album."
"Show her. I don't mind." Calum nods.
"Sierra will be excited too. I mentioned the song to her, she's been trying to be patient about waiting though." Luke adds.
"Text Mike and let him know too, since he left early today. I don't know if he's told Crystal about it at all, but he can. I have places to be though." Calum smiles, swinging his backpack onto his back.
"Where are you headed in such a hurry?" Andrew asks looking up from where he and Matt are mixing some things.
"Z got to go home today. I figured I should ask her on a real date finally. And I'm going to do that in person."
"Romantic. Have fun, glad she's finally out of the hospital." Matt laughs, waving him off.
"Me too. See you guys tomorrow for promo."
"Easier!" Ashton yells excitedly, clapping Calum on the back as they leave the room together,
Driving across town takes far longer than it should, that or Calum is anxious to see Zeppelynn again and it is causing it to seem that way. By the time he finds a place to park along the street he is bouncing with excitement.
Hurrying towards the door he grins as he glances through it to see Z seated behind the counter laughing at something Zane said, both turning as they hear the bell chime over the doorway.
"Hey!" Zeppelynn is off her stool and rounding the counter immediately, meeting Calum in the middle of the space, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.
"Welcome home." He chuckles, lifting her slightly off her feet as he hugs her tightly.
"Good to be here, and better now that you're here too." She smiles up at him as he sets her back on her feet.
"Hey, I came by to ask you a question." He follows her towards the counter, leaning against the front of it as she rounds it back to her stool.
"Ask away."
"So, I'm busy all week with promo stuff for our new single, but I was thinking Saturday night I could maybe take you on a real date. We haven't really had an official first date, we have ended up in date like situations, but you deserve more than that from me. So, what do you say?"
"I say, pick me up at six." She grins.
"I will."
"You wanna come upstairs? We could watch a movie or something. I've missed you Calum."
"I could watch a movie." He nods, rounding the counter to follow her.
"So how's my song coming along?" She smirks over her shoulder at him as she pulls him by the hand towards the stairs.
"Great! I fell asleep at the studio earlier and dreamt up this awesome music to go with the melody and harmony we were already working on. It's even more amazing than it was before."
"I cannot wait to hear the final version of the song. It's going to be even more amazing than the one you showed me last week."
"You wrote her a song?" Zac pulls both their attention as they walk into the apartment.
"Ya, and it's sexy as hell. So you can continue to be jealous of how cute my relationship is." Zeppelynn laughs, "come on Cal, we can watch a movie in my room.
"Don't be too loud. You're over the shop." Zac smirks as he heads for the door, heading out as Z pulls Calum towards her room.
"I like all your pictures." Calum's eyes fall to the wall covered in photos of her work.
"Thanks. I love what I do." She shrugs, "you have your awards and things displayed and I have my work displayed. It's sorta the same thing right? I mean yours are definitely cooler but still."
"Mine are not all cooler. And never think I'm cooler than you Wildflower, you do some of the coolest work I've ever seen or heard of. Sometimes I think I'm dreaming you up in every aspect. How could someone as cool as you like me." Calum scoffs, pulling her down onto the bed with him, hugging her close.
"Sometimes I think you're all a dream too Curls. But then I know you're not when I remember you shaved your curls off. If I was dreaming you'd still have curls." She laughs, rubbing a hand over his shaved head again.
"I'm sorry I shaved it. If I knew you'd hate it so much I would have left them." He laughs loudly, pushing her hand away.
"It's okay, you're still cute." She giggles, pecking his lips softly.
"And you are beautiful." He hums back.
"So, what movie do we want to watch?"
"Anything. What movie do you do the coolest stunt in? Let's watch that so I can hype the fuck out of my badass girlfriend."
"Ugh, I hate watching my own movies. When you're the one doing the stunts they lose some of the movie magic."
"Alright, what do you want to watch?" Calum chuckles.
"Something dumb, like Dumbo or something." She laughs.
"Was that a joke or genuine?"
"Joke. Let's just see what's on." She laughs, scooting up the bed and finding the remote to the small tv mounted on the wall.
"Alright. But don't run away from me, I want to cuddle you." He chuckles, chasing after her up the bed and pulling her back against his chest as he digs his legs under her duvet, pulling the blanket up and around them both.

I might not get everyday updates in the rest of this week. It's gonna be a busy one for me. I'll try though!
