August 31st,
Summer seemed to pass by in a flash at the Potters with Sirius tagging along. Madeline, Alyssa, and Camilla hung out four times in the past couple months. Sirius and Madeline had a lot more roof Star gazing talks. Other then that, everything was normal.
Today James, Sirius, And Mae went to Diagonal Alley, just the three of them, to get all the necessary school supplies for school which starts tomorrow.

Madeline was walking behind the two boys on their way to the bookstore when she was grabbed my the arm and pulled into an alley way, the boys hadn't noticed.
She reached for her wand before realizing who it was pinning her against the wall.
"Regulus." She let out a breath then smiled.
"Hey you." He chuckled then let go of her arms and backed up.
"How are you?" She asked as she pulled him into a hug.
"Better now." He chuckled, hugging her back just as tight.
"You ready for this year?" She asked as they let go of each other.
"You know it, I'm expecting to be a prefect this year." He winked.
"Oh really?" She chuckled.
"Yup, and no doubt they'll choose you as prefect for Gryffindor." He nudged my shoulder.
"We'll see."
"How's my brother?"
"He's good, really good. You know you can talk to him, he's here right now."
"Yeah, but if word gets back to my parents that we talked, she'll be furious." He sighed.
"Seriously? Even though he's your brother?"
"Yeah. She already burned his spot on the family tree. She absolutely despises him now."
"I'm sorry..."
"Don't be." He smiled.
"Well-" she linked their arms together. "-come with me to pick out a new broom?"
"I was going to get a new one myself, so, yes." He smiled.
The two walked to broom shop, arms linked until they stepped inside to browse by themselves.
"What about this one?" Reg asked from the other side of the room.
"Oh I like that." She looked at the tag. "Comet 200." She read the name out loud. "700 galleons. It's a good thing we both come from wealthy family's." She chuckled.
"Yeah." He agreed.
The both picked one out and headed up to the counter where a nice old man was sitting with glasses on the tip of his nose.
"This all for you?" He asked.
"Yes sir." Mae smiled.
"What position?"
"We're both seekers." Regulus told him.
"Ah, so different houses you two are?"
"Yeah, I'm in Gryffindor, he's Slytherin." She informed the old man.
"Brilliant. You two make a nice couple. Buying your brooms together." He smiled looking up at them.
Both their cheeks went red, regulus rubbed the back of his neck.
"Oh" she chuckled. "We're not- um- together like that."
"Not yet." He winked.
They both grabbed their brooms from the counter.
"Have a nice day!" Mae said as they walked out of the shop.
"You both as well!" The old man chuckled.
"Everyone thinks that." Mae laughed nervously.
"I know." He chuckled. "Maybe it's a sign." He winked.
"Oh, yeah, most definitely." She rolled her eyes sarcastically.
"I beat be going my own way now before my brother walks out of that door." Reg said stopping in his tracks.
"Alright. I will see you tomorrow." She smiled.
"Can you give this to him?" He handed my a note.
"I sure can." She winked then waved goodbye walking backwards a couple feet then turning back around to walk into the book store.
"Where'd you- oh, I see, old broom not good enough?" James asked as he saw her sister walk in.
"It's good, it's just not as fast. And I need a faster broom if you want me to lead our team to victory." She smirked.
"Fair enough."
"We got your books by the way. Here you go." Sirius said handing her a small stack of books.
"Thank you boys." She smiled.
"Now let's see." James looked at the list. "All we need now are new shirts for us and you need new skirts?"
"Yes. Yes I do. And you guys should get double of whatever you were going to get. We all know they'll be stained and torn by Christmas."
The three shared a laugh.
"You're not wrong." Sirius said.
The three walked into the robes shop and got tailored.
"Can you just, take one inch off of that measurement?" Madeline smiled at the lady.
She looked up at her with a raised eyebrow then chuckled. "Don't tell anyone it was me." She winked.
"Thank you." Mae smiled.

Madeline was done first and was sitting in the front of the shop with her clothes in a bag waiting for the boys. They came out laughing at Godric knows what.
"Finally." She sighed, whispering to herself.
She stood up and walked to the front counter to meet them. She stuck her hand into Sirius deep coat pocket and left the note in it.
He went to reach for it but she stopped his hand from moving. "Not now."
After paying they went into an alley way and they each placed a hand onto Sirius's shoulders. Given he was of age, he was now able to use magic outside of school, he apprated them back to the Potters house.

"A broom? Really. You got a perfectly good one upstairs." Mrs. Potter said.
"She needs a faster one if we want the keep having the best seeker in school, mother." James said.
"Exactly." Mae said.
Their parents laughed at their kids obsession with Quidditch.
She then showed them the new skirts before the boys showed their shirt. As boring as they were and they've seen them and worn these themselves. They still wanted to see everything we got.
"Isn't that...? A bit short?" Dad asked.
"I don't know what your talking about, I just got tailored." She smirked as she folded it back up.
"Mhm." Sirius and James mumbled.
"Shut it you two." She whisper shouted at the boys next to her.

The very next morning the Potters residence was quite chaotic. The three kids roaming around, frantically double and triple checking everything to make sure they aren't forgetting to pack anything.
Mom making food and dad telling everyone to hurry before they are late and miss the train.
"Mom where are my black dress shoes!" Madeline shouted from upstairs.
"Ask you dad!" She shouted back up.
"Dad! Where are my-"
"I got them. I'll bring them up to you." He sighed.
"Sirius have you seen my second sweater vest?" James asked peering through Sirius bedroom door.
"Oi, mate, you're wearing it." He laughed while shaking his head.
"I'm-" he looked down. "How-" he walked back to his room and took it off then folded it into his trunk.
Madeline walked into James room.
"Ew, put a shirt on." She said tossing him a shirt that was laying on his dresser.
He sniffed it. "Not to bad." He threw it on over his head.
"You have my. Somewhere. I saw it last week." She said while searching his room. "Aha." She smiled as she grabbed her broom trunk from his closet.

After the three kids packed and double checked for each other they brought all their stuff downstairs then went into the kitchen and grabbed their beaks fast burritos from mom.
"Thanks mom. I love you. Miss you already." Mae said hugging her.
"See you at Christmas!" James kissed her cheek.
"Thank you for everything Mrs. Potter. See you at Christmas." He kissed her cheek.
"Bye kids. I love you, see you all soon!" She said as they hurried out the door.
Dad had suggested that when they have less then 30 mins before the train. That she should stay home and say her goodbyes there because she takes too long at the station.
