As the entire Riddle family stood at the platform looking around. Everyone around them ran and walked hurriedly toward the train. They weren't late but it'd be easy to assume that everyone was in such a rush to get seats next to their friends. Alec slightly pushed his son forward and it made the small boy upset. The entire ride over his father had been so excited to send him off to Hogwarts.
Sure the boy was excited as well but he wanted to know why his father was so eager to get rid of him. Just as the small boy was about to speak up he was hit by something hard, "Watch where your bloody going!" (y/n) rubbed his arm as he scowled at the other boy in front of him who looked frightened. His father slightly smacked his head and the boy sighed. The boy got slightly irritated at himself for always screwing things up in front of his father. He just wanted to make him proud, "My apologies, I didn't mean to be so rude but please be careful next time." The (h/c) haired boy stuck his hand out to the boy with round glasses.
"Uh yeah, sorry, it's my first time... I'm Harry, by the way, Harry Potter." Harry looked at the boy who had somewhat long hair flowing in a neat direction down to his neck. The boy wasn't using any product and it looked like his hair stayed in perfect place by luck. "Nice to meet you, Harry. I'm (y/n), (y/n) Ri-." Elysium nudged her son and he nodded as he had now remembered what Madam Malkin had told him, "(Y/n) Rid." The boy awkwardly looked at his mother who nodded with a smile.
"Uhm what do you say, Harry, should we sit together?" (y/n) looked back at Harry who nodded at him. "We'll make sure everything is taken care of, here take Coronin." His father looked toward his mother who just handed him a small cage. (y/n) sent a small smile to the cat in the cage and walked off with Potter by his side. As they entered the train the (s/c) boy quickly walked to the back expecting Harry to follow him and he did. "So Harry where did you come from?" The curious boy looked straight into the eyes of Harry's bright blue ones. His eyes were quite mesmerizing he had to admit.
"The muggle world." Harry's response was quick and quiet. At his words, the other boy tensed up. "Right, what kind of stuff do they have in the muggle world?" (y/n) was trying to keep up the conversation despite what Harry had said. If his father knew that Harry came from the muggle world he would probably skin (y/n) alive for talking to him. "Uh, I guess we have similar things but our stuff was just made by muggles. We have devices where we can listen to music and watch things." Harry looked around awkwardly.
(y/n) was about to respond when someone suddenly appeared at the door of the compartment. "Excuse me, do you mind? Everywhere else is full." the boy was a redhead with eyes that were slightly darker than Harry's. The (h/c)-ette was too busy eyeing the read headed boy to answer him so Harry replied instead. "I'm Ron by the way, Ron Weasley." Ron looked at the boys with an expectancy that caused the (s/c) boy to roll his eyes. "(y/n) rid, it's a pleasure to meet you." (y/n) gave the boy the best smile he could give. "Brother of Fred and George correct?" The boy looked at the redhead with bright eyes and a wide smile.
His parents weren't here to tell him no and he didn't have to make them proud every second of his life... right? "Look, if they did something to you I'm sorry but I can't help." Ron looked at the boy who sat across from him with a slightly frightened face. The (e/c) eyed boy looked like he was a creepy murder with his smile like that. "I'm Harry, Harry Potter." At that sentence, Ron's head snapped to look at Harry which grabbed (y/n)'s attention.
"S-so is it true? Do you really have t-the.." Ron was unable to finish his question and (y/n) looked at him weirdly. "The what?" the (h/c) boy spoke up looking at Harry with curiosity in his eyes. He had no idea what they were talking about but was extremely interested. "Scar?" Ron looked at Harry as he whispered the word. The (e/c) eyed boy would have missed it if he wasn't paying attention to the strange conversation that had sparked up. In a matter of seconds, Harry lifted his brown hair up to reveal a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt. "Wicked!" Ron looked excited and the boy across from them felt utterly and completely left out.
What does that even mean? It's just a scar. It's nothing special. "Woah your ring looks so cool! I can't wait till I get mine." Ron pointed to the ring on the (s/c) boy's hand. This made the boy smile up at Ron in pride. "It is pretty great and very cool looking. Why don't you have yours?" (y/n) looked at Ron who didn't have time to answer, "Anything off the trolley dears?" A woman appeared at the door with a trolley full of sweets. (y/n) contemplated on getting a chocolate frog as he knew that he could get one but just wasn't sure if he actually wanted one. "No thanks... I'm all set." Ron held up sandwiches that seemed to be smushed into the bag they came in.
Harry had looked at the two boys but his attention was mostly on Ron who looked displeased, "We'll take the lot!" Harry held out his hand full of Galleons and (y/n) shook his head knowing that Harry will probably regret that later. Ron looked completely shocked at what Harry was doing. A few short minutes later Ron had his face stuffed with Candies while they made small conversation. "Bertie Bott's every flavored beans?" Harry looked at Ron with questioning eyes and (y/n) just laughed a little as he watched how Harry had stuck a bean in his mouth before getting a response.
"They mean every flavor! There are chocolate and peppermint, and there's also spinach, liver and tripe. George swore he got a bogey flavored one once!" Ron looked bewildered at the last part of his own sentence while Harry just quickly took the bean out of his mouth causing (y/n) to laugh again. He watched as Ron's rat was eating candies out of a box and it made the boy quirk a brow. How weird, a rat eating candies. "These aren't real chocolate frogs, are they?" Harry showed the (h/c) boy the box which caused him to smile. "It's just a spell.. it comes with a card with a famous witch or wizard on it.
I personally think hunting the frog is the best part. I've got loads of cards since those are my favorites." The boy smiled at Harry as he watched him open it.
As the package opened the frog hopped onto the window, "Watch it!" Ron yelled as Harry just looked at it in amazement. As the frog was about to jump out of the opened window
(y/n) snatched it and bit the head off, "These only have one god jump in them so the chase is short so if you lose one don't worry." The boy looked at Harry who looked slightly frightened but then looked at his card. "I got Dumbledore!" Harry looked excited but it was short-lived as Ron had to speak up, "I've got about six of him." Ron looked proud of himself but (y/n) just rolled his eyes as he watched Harry's excited expression leave.
The boys (e/c) eyes went back to staring at Ron's rat from before. "This is Scabbers, by the way, pathetic isn't he?" Ron shook his head while he showed his rat off. Coronin started to scratch at the cage when he caught sight of the rat. "Sorry about that Coronin seems to, well to, like your rat. He probably wants Scabbers for dinner." the boy laughed but no one laughed with him so he started to cough awkwardly, "I won't let him eat Scabbers." The boy looked serious so they would believe him, "Fred gave me a spell to turn him yellow. Want to see?" Ron turned towards Harry which caused the other boy to sigh a little. He was starting to get the feeling they didn't really like him.
(y/n) watched as Ron was about to start his spell when a girl quickly walked into their compartment, "Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Neville's lost one." She looked at all three boys with her eyebrows raised. "No." (y/n) stated firmly, he didn't mean to sound rude but he was now irritated at the fact that so far no one seemed to like him. The boy watched as she rolled her eyes then quickly looked at Ron, "Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see then." She sat down right next to the boy that she had just spoken to and waited. "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow!" Ron waited for the rat to turn yellow but it never did which caused the (h/c) boy to smile a little.
Fred had given his brother a fake spell... (y/n) started to laugh harder as he had realized that the spell did sound quite stupid but Ron had fallen for it anyway. "Stop that's rude." The girl smacked his arm which did cause the boy to stop laughing and he glared at her. "Don't touch me.. please." at first he was just going to leave it as it is but decided not to and to at least do something that would please his parents. So he used his manners hoping that it would make things better. "I was only laughing because of how his brothers are such pranksters and yet he still decided to try it." (y/n) explained while still looking at the girl who still looked at him with disappointment. I guess he can't please anyone. Hermione ignored the boy that sat next to her and decided to fix someone's glasses to show Ron a real spell.
"Holy Cricket! You're Harry Potter. I'm Hermione Granger... and you are?" The (e/c) boy watched as she looked at the two in front of her. He had bit his tongue when she fixed Harry's glasses so that he wouldn't call her an insufferable know it all. At this point, she was just ignoring him to be rude. "I'm Ron Weasley." Ron had his mouth full of Candies again which caused (y/n)'s lips to turn up in a small smile. The boy watched as Hermione looked at Ron in disgust and quickly got up.
They seemed to like her and her rude behavior than (y/n)'s decent one. It shouldn't bother the boy but he was hoping that they would be different from how he categorized every person alive. "You three better change into your robes. I expect we'll be arriving soon." She gave a quick smile then ran off.
