Italics- nogitsune's whispers

Lydia

Lydia made eye contact with Oliver of the possibilities of his realization. "My daughter is not the nogitsune," Malcolm said firmly, "I just saw her last week."

"How'd she die?" Derek asked. "Sword through the chest," Oliver told him, "But she wasn't fully dead." "On her last breaths," Lydia corrected and she got a glare from him, "Then put in the pit." "Seems reasonable but..." Scoot trailed off and Lydia caught his glance and nodded.

Everyone's head perked up when they heard Oliver's phone buzz and he took out his phone. "Thea," he mouthed, putting it on speaker. "Ollie," she whispered and they listened carefully. "What Speedy?" He asked confusedly. There was silence on the other side of the phone and she hung up.

"What-what does that mean?" He asked, "Is she in trouble?" "If she was, she'd be crying," Derek said, "I don't think so." "You don't know my sister. She sounded terrified." "Oliver," Malcolm grabbed his arm, "If she is the nogitsune, you want to stay as far away as possible." "She probably doesn't know what's going on," Stiles said, "You know; the battle of the mind. She probably gave up."

"Guys," Scott spoke up, "we just showed up and we're freaking out cause we're stressed. Go get some sleep." Everyone glanced at each other and knew he was right. "You guys can stay at my place," Lydia said, "and Laurel, don't bother going home."

Lydia clicked the elevator button and the pack, including Laurel, all piled in. "Do, do, do," Stiles hummed, as the shuttle pulled them up and everyone groaned. "Shut up," Peter told him. When the elevator doors opened, they all shoved out. "Is this how they all are when they're not busy?" Laurel asked. "Yeah."

They made it to her apartment complex and Lydia opened the door to her loft. It was quite hilarious how the pack was going to live with a nogitsune, but they didn't know that.

"There're rooms upstairs and some of you can crash on the couch," she told them before going into the kitchen. Lydia felt a presence behind her and pivoted to see Scott standing there. "Dr. McCall, how can I help you?" She smiled, leaning a hand on the countertop. "I just wanted to see if you were okay. Especially with being human, the past coming back and..." he trailed off, "You two are my best friends, I just wanted to know where you're at." Lydia nodded and slightly licked her lips, "I've already moved on."

Scott nodded and broke a smile and she frowned. "Is it me, or are Oliver and Derek the same person?" "I've seen it too. Especially protecting the sister part," she scrunched her nose, "Will you be the overprotective brother?" He exhaled, trying to figure out what to say, "Yes. From the moment she was born, I knew I had to protect her. As a child, she already has a pack for her."

Lydia leaned in so only he could hear her, "What about you, Malia, and Kira?" She pulled back to see he had a stern expression. "It was a little awkward when she came back from the Skinwalkers, but we settled it," he explained. "Anyways, we should get some sleep."

————————

Lydia woke up to a new day with the sun shining in her face. She looked over to see Oliver had just woken up and she felt his fingers grazing her arm. She turned over to her bed stand and drank her tea, exhaling from the strength that had been sedated.

"I'm gonna get ready," she whispered and he nodded. She slipped into the bathroom and did her daily routine. When she got out, she put on cuffed jeans and a blue top with ankle boots. "You finished fast," she said, seeing Oliver was putting on a jacket to complete his outfit. "Let's go."

When the two went down the stairs into the main part of the loft, Lydia frowned. "We're in a supernatural crisis and you guys are having a big breakfast?" She exclaimed. Felicity and Stiles were making pancakes and eggs, Kira was making beacon, while Derek was setting up the massive table and Malia was tossing berries into their mouths. "Open!" Malia shouted, tossing berry at her. Lydia caught it with her hand and smushed the fruit. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," Peter said with a cheerful tone. "Let's eat," Oliver whispered into her ear.

Lydia sat at the head of the table as everyone took their seats and she stared at Malcolm who was seated at the opposite side. "We're all going to die," she muttered and everyone ignored her and they began to eat. Lydia noticed that Malcolm and Peter were talking as if they were friends. "If you two joined forces, it would be a war," she told them.

"Psycho and psycho?" Laurel whispered, eyeing Oliver who was sitting on Lydia's right. "Yeah. Where's Argent, Scott, and John?" "Argent is training Diggle and Scott..." Derek trailed off, not knowing. "I'm here," he said, coming down the stairs, "I just slept in." He sat down on the empty seat and began to eat.

"We should start by tracking Thea," Scott started, "sniffing her out." "I can grab her clothes," Lydia offered. "Wouldn't she know? She's not an idiot," Theo said and Oliver glared at him. "Well we don't know if she's let go," Stiles told him. "She might think it's just nightmares but she'll eventually give up."

Lydia drank orange juice and cleared her throat, there was this urge of wanting to stab everyone with her butter knife but she pushed it away. She got up and cleared her plate, eyeing Laurel to come with her.

The two left the loft and went into the parking lot, getting in the car and driving to Laurel's apartment. "Do you really think that Thea is the nogitsune?" Laurel asked as Lydia parked the car. "It makes sense," she said.

Laurel unlocked the front door to her apartment and swung the door open. They made eye contact with each other and went inside. Laurel slipped into Thea's room and grabbed a few shirts. "Let's go," she said. "Wait," Lydia held her arm. She glanced at her, hearing wood creaking and they turned.

"Hi," Thea waved her fingers, tilting her head to the side with a smirk. "Are you still Thea?" Lydia asked. Thea's eyes wandered and she rolled them, "She's slowly fading." "Come back," Laurel exclaimed, taking a step forward. "I know you can fight it." Thea took a deep breath and sighed in annoyance, taking a step forward. "Laurel I know we can fight but..." Lydia trailed off, grabbing her hand, "run!"

The two ran out of the room and down the hallway. As they looked back, Thea was following them. Even though she was walking so slow, the evilness felt fast. "You can't kill me!" She shouted as they made it down the hallway. "Not the elevator," Lydia said, opening the door to the stairs. "I am Void!" Was the last thing they heard her say as they stumbled down the stairs.

Lydia opened the car and they piled in, taking heavy breaths. "That's not Thea anymore," Laurel gasped as she turned on the engine. She sped down the street and made it to the ballot building. They entered and clicked the button under a shelf that opened the wall, revealing the elevator and they went inside. They waited for it to reach the ground and they entered the lair where everyone was waiting for them. "Thea is gone," Lydia said as Laurel tossed the shirts, "She is Void."

Thea

Thea stopped in the middle of the hallway and watched as the lights flickered. The elevator dinged and the doors opened, Kate and Sara walking out. "You should win an Oscar," Kate complimented, clapping her hands. "Copying the actions of a nogitsune is quite easy."

"But now the pack has confirmation that I am Void," she said. "What are we supposed to do now?" Sara asked, leaning on the wall. "What we do best," she smiled. Thea began to walk down the hallway with Kate on her right and Sara on her left and entered the elevator.

"It's broad daylight, isn't night more your scenery?" Kate asked as they waited for the elevator to reach the bottom. "Won't stop me."

The three stepped out and Sara threw a dagger at the landlord, killing him. They exited the apartment complex and Kate got in the driver's seat as they went in the back. "Go back to the warehouse," Thea ordered.

Kate pulled the car into the alleyway and they got out, entering the dimmed, flickering lights of the warehouse. "I'm gonna go train with a Berserker," Sara told them as a Berserker followed her into the corner. Thea could hear the huffing of the animal and weapons clashing against the bones.

"She shouldn't have killed that man now. Probably later, but now?" Kate said and Thea rolled her eyes, sitting on the edge of the couch. "It's a message," she said.

Lydia

The lair was silent as they grasped the fact of the new Thea. The heightened sensors began to sniff the clothes that were given to them.

"We need to find her now," Scott said, turning to leave. "Wait!" Felicity called out. When they turned to look at her, she was a little anxious to speak. "I ran a schematic on the places of chaos and I found this," she clicked a button and the larger screen clicked on. "It's a city camera of the train station that blew up a few months ago."

Everyone crowded at the screen to see Thea entering the station. The camera angle switched to the operating room and she was cutting wires and messing with the keyboard. She leaned back in the chair she was sitting in and waved at the camera in the corner before getting up.

The views kept changing as it followed her outside and into the ditch of the pillars, holding the tracks and Thea began unscrewing the bolts. "Pause it," Derek said and she did. He clicked the screen and it zoomed in. "Argent..." he faltered with wide eyes and pointed to the screen, "Kate."

"Kate," Peter repeated, rolling his eyes and they backed away from the screen. "The Bone Woman?" Theo asked and he nodded. "Who's Kate?" Oliver asked. "Argent's sister, psychotic, evil aunt, werejaguar, La Loba, Queen of the Berserkers," Stiles listed, raising his eyebrows. "Remember the deal I told you about in Mexico and someone went missing?" Lydia asked. "Yeah, that was mostly Kate."

"Lemme guess," Peter began, "Void Thea helped Kate create Berserkers in return for their help." They narrowed their eyes at him for making a wild conclusion. "What?! It's what I'd do." "So my daughter has officially sided with crazy," Malcolm nodded. "Well, she did work with you," Lydia pointed out.

"Argent," Scott called out, "Are you okay that we go after her?" Argent leaned over and grabbed a bullet of yellow wolfsbane, "It's not my first time." "Question," Laurel spoke up, "What are Berserkers?" Stiles slapped his forehead, muttering, "You guys need to catch up."

Argent opened a crate, pulling out one of many books of the bestiary. He opened to a page and pointed a finger at a picture, "Men who are no longer men. When put on the skull, their humanity is stripped away and they become animals. They go berserk." "You forgot, over six feet, toothed weapons, scary as hell," Stiles said. "It takes a lot of power to take down one, we don't know how many she's made," Malia added.

"Guys," Laurel said, showing her phone, "The landlord of the apartment building I'm in is dead." "Probably Thea," Derek told her. "Also... the new mayor is giving a speech tonight." "Sounds like a great time to create chaos," Peter said with a melodic voice. "Then let's be prepared," Scott said.

Lydia turned to the desk Argent was at and started packing weapons. Diggle joined and the clocking of guns filled the room. "What about Thea, you guys won't kill her right?" Oliver said and they looked at him. "We won't," Scott nodded. "I should probably add nogitsune to the bestiary," Argent muttered, tightening his supernatural belt.

The pack and team were spread out in the crowd, looking for any sign of Thea or Kate. "Find anything?" Oliver asked through a comm. "No," Felicity said.

"Hi Laurel!" someone exclaimed. Lydia turned her head to see Sara was approaching Laurel and they hugged. "I didn't know you were coming back," Laurel said. "Well I wanted to see the new mayor," she explained. Lydia hugged her and they both exhaled into each other's shoulders for understanding.

"I will save this city!" The mayor exclaimed into the microphone before getting off the stage. "This is a reasonable time," Peter muttered from a distance. They all glanced at each other, waiting for something to happen when the feedback of the mic being removed sounded.

"Good evening, Star City," Oliver began, slightly fidgeting his hand. "What is he doing? That's how he gets assassinated!" Peter exclaimed. "This special person in my life has been with me through thick and thin, even times I didn't know if I was going to come back," he said, "She makes me smile every time I see her. Lydia, would you come up on stage?"

Lydia went frozen in place, still considering to move. "Go," Laurel nudged her in the arm. She finally woke up and made her way through the crowd, up the stage. Oliver took a step closer and went on a knee, opening a box with a diamond ring. She glanced at the gasping crowd that was blurred by the stage light and looked back at Oliver.

"Ye-yes!" She shouted, leaping into his arms. The crowd cheered as they kissed and he slipped the ring on her finger. He gripped her hand and she smiled cheekily at him as he led her off the stage.

"Is this real?" She asked and he pulled her in. "I didn't want to wait any longer," he said, kissing her. Lydia tilted her head down the street and frowned, "How'd you get a limo?" "Felicity," he winked. The driver opened the door and the two got in.

Lydia wrapped an arm around his and laid her head on his shoulder, staring at the ring. "It was my mother's," he said, catching her gaze, "the one my father gave her." Her eye slightly twitched as the limo waited at the traffic light. She lifted her head and kissed him. As they were kissing, the limo started driving and she opened her eyes, looking out the window, waiting for something. Once they pulled back, she laid her back on his shoulder and their hands entangled.

The bright headlights shined in the window and the moment they turned, the car crashed into the side. Lydia's eyes closed as she felt glass scrape her face and her hair float. Oliver's body slid against hers and she slammed into the other side. Their bodies levitated as the limousine flipped a few times until everything went still.
