"I will now pass the verdict on the defendant, NOT GUILTY!"

"Miles!" I shouted bursting into his office.
"What the?! (Y/n)! What happened to knocking?"
"Sorry, it was just too tempting!" I replied walking up to him and picking up his glasses, which had managed to find their way on the floor, before placing them on his desk.
"Thank you, I was looking for them but why are you here?"
"I saw the news and I just wanted to make sure you're alright. I mean, defence attorneys forging evidence just to get their clients off the hook is absurd!"
"I'm okay, (Y/n). However I am extremely busy so if you have nothing better to say, then leave."
"I was going to ask you whether you wanted to go out for dinner with me tonight, you know," I looked up to see him with a shocked look on his face and I quickly continued, "But if you don't want to that's fine!" I hugged him before going to leave. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back, "(Y/n), you didn't give me time to answer. I was going to say that I would love to."
"Yay! Just remember you are an amazing prosecutor! Don't let attorneys forging evidence let you forget that, okay?"
"Yup, okay," he replied with a red face. Why are you blushing, Miles?
"Good! I'll be here at 6 to pick you up!"
"(Y/n), shouldn't I be the one picking you up?"
"Usually yes, but knowing you, you'll forget all about it because you're so caught up in your work. I'll see you at 6!" With that, I walked out of his office and back to the agency.

"What's got you so chipper all of a sudden, (Y/n)?" Phoenix smirked at me.
"Oh, shut up, Wright. It's none of your business! Whether I'm chipper or upset!"
"Yahuh, that's not going to fly (Y/n). You only call me by my last name when you've been hanging around with Edgeworth too much."
"Ever thought that I might be mad at you?"
"You're not though, there is no anger radiating from you, (Y/n)," Athena spoke up.
"That reminds me, where did you disappear off to this morning?"
I will strangle you if you're not careful, Phoenix!
"I-I went out to the mall! Yes, that's where I was!"
"Again, that won't fly, (Y/n). First of all, whenever you go to the mall, you come back with a whole load of either plushies or some form of memorabilia. Secondly, you're stuttering, which means you're lying. And thirdly, you're lying. My bracelet reacted when you said that statement," Apollo spoke.
"I told you, I was at the mall, I just forgot my purse so I couldn't buy anything."
"Yahuh. Still not buying it, (Y/n). My bracelet reacted again."
PERCEIVE TIME!
"(Y/n), when you say that 'you were at the mall', you rub your thumb on the inside of your palm. Is there a reason?"
"No! No reason!"
"(Y/n) just tell us the truth. There's a slight bit of happiness radiating from you."
"Ok, fine. I wasn't at the mall, but I'm not telling you where I was!"

"Miles? Miles are you here?" I asked knocking on his office door.
"Yes, I'm here. Are you ready to go?" he replied walking out. I immediately hugged him, my face hitting his cravat, "Miles you need to get rid of that thing. I can only hug you from behind and the sides while you wearing it," I spoke breaking off the hug.
"Can we just go?"
"Fine."
We walked out of the building and to my car. The drive was a comfortable silence one and I was glad about it. I may come off as a very flirty person, but when it comes to Miles, it's hard to keep my cool. We arrived at the restaurant and got a table. We ordered out for but while we were waiting, Miles started a 'conversation', "(Y/n), why did you choose me?"
"What do you mean?".
"Out of all the people you know, why did you ask me?"
"What do you mean by that? Miles, if you want the truth I'll tell you, I love you. More than a friend."
"But why? I've lost more cases than Payne! And that's saying something! I have no idea why I'm the Cheif Prosecutor. If the Cheif Prosecutor can't even win a case, what does it say for all the other prosecutors? I am such a failure of a prosecutor."
"Miles, you're not a failure. The only reason you lost those cases was that the defence was forging evidence and they got away with it. It's nothing to do with your skills as a prosecutor, trust me, okay?" I asked, bringing a hand up to his cheek and rubbing it, "I love you for you. I don't care how many cases you win or lose. I will always love you, no matter what, okay?" I noticed his face was red and I leaned over the table to kiss his cheek, "Trust me?"
"I-I trust you (Y/n). I love you too."
I leaned over the table again and kissed him gently.

"So, (Y/n), what happened with you and Edgeworth last night?"
"Shut it, Wright. Whether anything happened is none of your business."
"(Y/n), just tell him. You may as well. You won't be able to keep it a secret for long, especially with his two employees and their abilities."
"What are you doing here, Edgeworth?" Phoenix asked.
"I came to say hello to my girlfriend, Wright. Is that not allowed?"
"What? When did this happen?" Phoenix questioned when Miles wrapped an arm around my waist and pecked me on the forehead. I giggled and leaned up to kiss him properly, which he gladly accepted. I broke off to answer Phoenix's question, well I say 'answer' all I said was "You ask too many questions, Wright." I then turned back to Miles, "I love you."
"I love you too, (Y/n)."
