Y/N PULLED AWAY shortly after realizing what she had done. "You have a, uh, an eyelash on your cheek." Five stuttered.

Holy shit. Things couldn't get more embarrassing for Y/N. Her eyes widened as she realized he was only trying to get an eyelash off her face. "Shit." She cursed under her breath, hiding her face from him with her hand in embarrassment.

Why the hell did you have to fricking do that, you idiot! She scolded to herself.

"I'm-- I'm so terribly sorry. I- I kind of panicked and I thought–"

A soft pair of lips attached to hers interrupted her in the middle of her apology. It was sweet and chaste just like what she did to him. She didn't think of second thoughts to kiss him back.

Once he pulled away, he gave her a smirk, "Took you long enough." Y/N was confused. But what about Delores?

She was about to speak up until they heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it." Five sighed as he stood up from his stool and approached the door with his glass of margarita in his hand.

Y/N looked at Delores guiltily. She knew the doll was just an object. But sometimes she thought of Delores as a real person as well.

Five opened the door to see Hazel with his gun pointing at him. "Hey, old timer." The man greeted. Five was wasn't surprised anymore when he found out it was just Hazel, "Do you have my sister?" He asked, referring to Vanya, "And.. if not, would you like a margarita?"

Number Five took his silence as a yes, "Come on." He motioned for Hazel to follow him. He obliged with uncertainty, wondering if this was a trap.

"'Sup?" Y/N greeted calmly. After everything he had done to her, she left it all behind.

"You're here to kill me?" Five asked as he climbed back on his stool, scooting closer to Y/N. She tried her best to hide her grin.

"Oh. Shit. Sorry. Old habits." Hazel apologized, putting his gun away, "Well, I can understand why the both of you might feel that way, but you know..." He trailed out, looking down with guilt.

"Well, you attacked our house, tried to kill my family, punched Y/N in the face, and kidnapped my brother." Five elaborated.

Number Eight shrugged, "That's about it, I suppose." She grabbed the blender and a glass with her telekinesis, pouring the alcoholic beverage for herself.

"I though you didn't want one." Five questioned.

"Eh, changed my mind." She replied as she took a swig of it.

"Well, there's not much I can do about the past. Don't forget I'm not the only killer in this room. You got your own bloody  history, pal." Hazel piped up at the boy. But now he was just rambling, "Speaking of which, that job you did in Calhoun, that shit's legendary. Can't believe I'm actually sittin' here talkin' to you, after all--"

"Okay, I know you're talking to Five and not me, but why exactly are you here?" Y/N asked out of boredom. She wanted him to cut to the chase even though she had already read what was in his mind.

"Well, I'm, you know–" Hazel cut himself off with his own grunt after Diego kicked him from behind. "Diego, stop!" Number Five demanded.

Of course, Number Two didn't listen. Instead, he kept beating the life out of the guy. "Get up!" Diego shouted as he kicked Hazel on his chin.

Y/N wasn't amused nor surprised as usual, she just sat there, sipping her margarita as if she was drinking soda while watching an entertainment.

"You know, before you kill him, you might wanna here what he has to say." Five suggested. But Diego didn't stop. It was then Hazel started fighting back.

"I'm gonna kill you for what you did to Patch." Number Two sneered as he lunged himself onto Hazel. Five shook his head, "Or don't. See how that goes."

Diego kept throwing his fists at Hazel while Hazel blocks them. As he wondered if Five or Y/N was ever going to stop their brother, Diego pulled out a knife from his suit and stabbed it on Hazel's thigh.
He couldn't help but scream in pain.

Five and Y/N inhaled sharply, "That's gotta hurt." The commented in unison.

Hazel push him off and took the chance to take the knife off his thigh. Diego didn't back down with a growl. He attacked in many ways such as the usual kicking in the groin. He even back flipped.

Y/N would've stopped this mess, but from her past experiences, she knew they won't stop. Same goes for Five. He just sat there, waiting for them to stop or how far their fight would go as he drank his margarita.

That is, until Diego tried to bite Hazel's ear off.

With that, the boy put down his drink and jumped above them and smashed a glass furniture on Diego's head, making him unconscious. "I draw the line at biting." Five stated as he got himself down on the ground.

"Well.." Y/N exhaled as she put down her drink, "I think I'm gonna head out and watch the town go by with their lives." She gave Hazel a salute and smiled at Five before leaving.

"Hazel, whatever you came here to say, I suggest you make it quick, before he comes round." Five advised, walking back to his stool.

"I left my partner, quit the Commission, came to volunteer." Hazel blurted out.

"For what?"

"To help stop the apocalypse." Hazel answered. He received a chuckle from Five who was drinking up his beverage.

He was confused and ridiculed, "What on earth could be so funny to you right now?" He questioned.

"Before I answer that, why do you wanna help us?" Five asked.

"Let's just say I have a vested interest in a doughnut shop." Hazel replied.

"Well, I hate to break it to you, pal, but you're a day late and a dollar short." Five remarked, "The fact that you're here right now means, without a shadow of a doubt, that the apocalypse is over." He announced.

"Really?" Hazel was surprised, "How do you know?" He asked.

"The mark is dead. Found him this morning. You were the last known unknown left in the equation." The boy explained.

Hazel was relieved, "Shit. Really?" He chuckled.

Five hummed a yes, "And if you're out, then Hellrider ain't riding."

Hazel was filled with joy, "All right!" He exclaimed with a laugh. He walked up to the bar and sat beside Five. Sighing, he grabbed the blender and chugged the remainder of the margarita down to his throat.

Once he was done, he put in down. "So, now what?"

"You know, to be honest, I don't know." Five admitted, "I've been chasing this thing for so long, I... I never really thought about the day after." He chuckled, "I don't know. What about you?"

"I'm done with all this madness. Time to start over." Hazel replied as he looked at the boy beside him, "You should do the same."

"That's easier said then done." Five took a sip of his margarita.

"It doesn't have to be hard." Hazel addressed, "I mean, think about it like this. If you never time travelled, you never got caught up with the Handler, what would've happened?"

Five looked over to his shoulder, at unconscious Diego, and pondered. "I guess I would've grown up to be an emotionally stunted man-child like everybody else around here... Well, except for Y/N."

"Well, there you go. Now you can grow up." With that, he stood up from his seat, "Good luck."

"One more thing before you go." Five called.

"Shoot."

"Which one of you was the trigger man for Detective Patch?" The boy asked.

"Trigger woman." Hazel corrected.

"Huh. That's too bad." Number Five faltered, "That gun could have cleared my brother's name."

Hazel started fumbling under his blazer, "Well, today's your lucky day, amigo." He remarked, showing him two pistols, surrendering them. "Take 'em both." He insisted, "I'm done with this life."

With that, Hazel left without another word. Five stared into space, thinking of what should his next move would be.

The H/C haired girl exhaled as she sat there in front of the front door, invisible so no one could bother her. She learned that the hard way when she went out by herself when the group was still intact.

She watched children playing hopscotch on the sidewalk. Few bicycle and motorbike riders were passing by, going for a cruise. As much as she enjoyed observing and watching people going on about their lives, she still had this bad feeling in her stomach that she couldn't shake off.

Although everything was over, she knew something wasn't right. She just doesn't know what it is.

Suddenly, a cab stopped by in front of their house. Y/N turned herself visible as soon as she saw Vanya get out of it. "Vanya?" She called out.

It caught Vanya's attention when she hear the girl's voice. "Y/N.." Her voice croaked as she walked up to her. "You're okay.." She exclaimed as she pulled Y/N into a hug.

The girl hugged back immediately when she felt her sobbing. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean what I said. I didn't mean to push you. I– I was out of control and I–"

"It's okay, I know. I know." Y/N consoled as she rubbed her back, "There was nothing wrong about what you said. All you ever did was told me the truth." At this point, she was starting to tear up, "I know I'm not a part of the family, anyways. But it's all good. You're just learning about your new powers, I understand."

She pulled away and looked at her sister in the eye, "Now, I don't know about the others, but I forgive you. Okay?" The H/C haired girl wiped off her tears.

"Thank you." Vanya croaked, "Thank you for forgiving me." She added, wiping off the remainder of  her tears with her sleeve.

"Now, I suppose you're here to check on Allison?" Y/N asked. Vanya nodded in response.

The girl hummed, "All right, now go ahead. I'll see you later."

With that, Vanya opened the door and got in the house and Y/N went back to staring into space. Until Five showed up with the same bag he carried Delores in a few days ago.

"Hey, Y/N?" Number Eight turned her attention to him and hummed as a reply. In the outside, she looked like everything was cool and fine. But inside she was thinking about the kiss they had a while ago and it made her fluttery.

"Would you mind if I ask you to take me somewhere?" He asked.

Y/N's eyebrows furrowed, "Not at all. I could use some cruising with my triumph after all. Where to?"

"Gimbel Brothers." He answered.

She didn't ask any more questions even though she was curious as to why he wanted to go there. So she ran back inside to grab her keys and gestured for him to follow her down the alley where her motorcycle was afterwards.

As the did so, Five wanted to talk to her about the events that had just happened. What are they now? Will thing be awkward between them from now on?

"Please be reminded, I can read minds, Five." Y/N suddenly spoke up. The boy looked at her, who was trying to avoid those piercing green eyes of his by focusing on what's in front of her. "And I don't know what's happening between us." She sighed as she looked back at him.

"But whatever it is, I'm sure we'll figure it out soon enough, like we always do." She gave him a smile as she nudged his should with her. The awkward tension started rising up more and more that it had gotten to the point where they're not even close to making a conversation.

They've reached Y/N's black Triumph. She tossed him a helmet that was kept in the compartment. It felt such a relief for her to be straddling her vehicle again. If Five weren't here, she would've baby talked to it. For a while she felt like her old self again before everything that had happened. "All right, old man, ya know the drill." The girl sighed.

So Five climbed over the space behind her and wrapped his arms around her torso. Number Eight revved up the engine with a grin on her face, "Hold on tight, Five." She advised, "This is gonna be one hell if a ride."

****

The H/C haired girl slowed her roll into the parking lot as the department store appeared in front of ger sight. "Okay, this is Gimble Brothers." She informed as Five unbuckled the strap of his helmet. He got off of her vehicle and handed it to her, "Thanks." He said.

Y/N took the spare helmet, "Don't mention it. I'm gonna give this baby a ride." She said, referring to her motorcycle.

"All right, I'll see you later."

With that, she rode off again back to the Academy. Since she had missed riding her motorcycle, she took the long way and made circles around town back to the Academy.

When she did, she didn't see Vanya or the others around the house. "Hello?" She yelled as she looked for them in each room. "Vanya? Klaus? Diego? Anyone?"

She ran her finger though her short, H/C hair as she thought where would they be. Until she saw Pogo.

"Hey, Pogo." She called out out for the ape. He turned to her as he stood there calmly while Y/N approached him.

"Miss Y/N, what can I do for you?" He asked politely.

"Have you seen the others? I couldn't find them anywhere."

Pogo stayed silent. He looked away from her, avoiding eye contact. "Pogo, is there something you're not telling me?" The girl asked. He didn't answer her at all.

"Pogo." She put up a warning tone.

The butler couldn't take it anymore. He knew he couldn't keep secrets from Y/N. So he told her where they were.

****

Number Eight herself out of the elevator, unsettled and confused. What was this place for? She wondered.

She walked through the hall. All she could see were concrete walls that were slightly cracked in the corners.

She suddenly heard Klaus' voice, "This us Vanya we're talking about. Our sister. The one who cried when we stepped on ants as kids." Y/N was bewildered on what was going on. What are they arguing about?

"Yeah I know. I know it's difficult to accept–"

"It's not difficult to accept, it's impossible to accept." She heard Klaus argue with Luther.

"No, he's right. Look, we can't keep her locked up without proof." Diego chimed. That's when she found out Vanya was isolated in a room. Her heart felt heavy with the sight she was seeing. It infuriated her

"Wh-- What more proof do you need?"

"Why don't we just open the door and ask her?" Klaus suggested.

"What the hell is going on in here?" The boys suddenly heard Y/N's spiteful tone from behind. All of them were too intimidated to speak. She glanced at Vanya who was begging for them to let her out.

"Let her out." She demanded.

"But, she's dangerous. She has–"

"Powers?" Y/N spat, "Yeah, I know. I was there remember?" She continued as she glared at Luther, "She freaking came to apologize, and this is what she gets?! How much of a bastard are you?! You don't want anything cruel happening to the world, look at what you're doing right now. You're isolating our own sister like some wild animal!" Her hands were shaking in anger as she pointed at Vanya, who was begging and crying to let her out.

"Yeah, even if you're right, she needs our help, and we can't do that if she's locked in a cage." Diego followed.

"Yeah, and for all we know, she might be struggling with this new power. I mean it must by scary. Terrifying, really, to discover that you could do something that you never thought you could do." Klaus touted, feeling bad for Vanya that she had to be locked up in a room of nothing but spiky walls and ceiling.

"Look, if what Pogo told me is even half true, then she is not just a danger to us." Luther argued.

Y/N couldn't hold back her anger anymore. This whole thing was the last straw that made the beast inside her flare up. So she tried to lung him forward, "Why you big piece of–"

Until Diego and Klaus grabbed her arms to stop her. "Let me go!" She shouted, trying to get out of their grip so she can give Luther a piece of her mind. "You think what you're doing is right? Well take a f*cking look at what you've done, you asshole! Out of all that things you could've done, you chose to lock her up instead of helping? All because she hurt your lovely precious Allison when she clearly wasn't being herself, huh?"

As if on cue, they heard Allison's footsteps. Number Eight's anger died down as her sister came in. Allison saw what Luther did to Vanya.

"Allison, what are you doing down here? You should be in bed." Luther sighed.

Allison held the notepad she was holding and wrote something on it as she couldn't speak with her situation. Once she was done, she showed what she had written.

LET HER GO

"I can't do that. She hurt you." Luther fretted.

Allison turned the page to write something else:

MY FAULT

"I'm sorry, but she staying put."

With that, Allison tried doing it herself. She approached the door but Luther blocked her with his arm. "Just until we know what we're dealing with." Luther persisted, although Allison didn't listen and tried to get through him.

Diego and Klaus left when they couldn't take it anymore. The frustration and anger in Allison's face was obvious as she tried pushing Luther. "She stays put."

Once again, she tried to get to the door again. But it was no use. While Luther was distracted, Y/N took it as a chance to get through.

She successfully opened it with her powers despite the fact that Luther screwed it tightly, Vanya was ready to get out of the room as Y/N waited for her in open arms. But Luther pushed Vanya back in again and locked it again. "Not a chance." Luther deadpanned.

Y/N's eyes were filled with fury as she growled and tried to get Luther out of the way with her telekinesis. But she was still recovering so she was weak. Her anger turned into sadness as she began sobbing, "Just let her go, Luther." She begged, "She doesn't deserve this. Please, Luther. I'm begging you." Number Eight was willing to get onto her knees just to get her brother to let Vanya go. The invisible lump in her throat grew larger, "She needs help."

Vanya was the only sister she could ever had. She was family.

Luther was flooded by guilt already as he saw both Allison and Y/N crying. But he didn't back down. "I'm sorry, Y/N."

"What? N-No." She exclaimed before Luther lifted her up over his shoulder. "No! Luther!" She squirmed, trying to get out of his hold as they got out. She watched as Vanya kept banging on the door, asking for them to not leave her.

****

All of them were doing their own thing after the scene earlier as if nothing happened. Y/N was in her room, staring into space as she finished crying.

Klaus was trying to figure out how he used her powers with Ben.

Allison was ignoring Luther, who did it because he thought it was the right thing to do.

Vanya was crying and panicking in the room where she was isolated in.

Five was returning Delores back to the department store, letting her go for him to move on with life.

Everything else was normally dysfunctional. Until the door to the room where Vanya was busted down to reveal the paler version of herself. Her eyes were icey blue that they were almost white.

They were filled with nothing but anger.
