"Woah, rough night?"
Was the first response heard from the table of girls who were looking at Heejin, who was walking with a pair of crutches and a leather foot splint. "Fuck off Ryujin" Heejin replied carefully making her way to sit at the table, resting her crutches on the side with a frown.
"So what happened?" Jungeun asked Heejin as she began to eat her food, "Well...."
LAST NIGHT~
"I think I need to go to the hospital will you take me?"
Hyunjin began to ponder as she looked at the girl in front of her who was still holding her ankle. Whimpers could be heard coming from Heejin's mouth, still trying to wipe her bloody nose.
Should Hyunjin say yes? Maybe this could be the pay back she's wanted all along.
"Hyunjin, please~" Heejin let's out one last whimper before Hyunjin rolled her eyes and helped to pick Heejin up, but the girl was finding it hard to stand up on one foot.
"Is this a yes?" Heejin asked as Hyunjin brought the girls arm to her shoulder and helped her walk, "Maybe" Hyunjin coldly replied as the two continued to walk to the hospital but Heejin was finding it hard to catch up.
"I don't think I can walk anymore, my leg hurts too much" Heejin sighed stopping and slumping onto a nearby bench while Hyunjin started to think. "Get on my back" Hyunjin stated confusing the girl who was sitting down in pain, "What?" Heejin asked before Hyunjin had crouched down in front of the girl.
"Shut up and get on" Hyunjin replied sternly as Heejin was too afraid to disagree as she hopped onto the girls back as Hyunjin continued to piggy back the girl to the hospital.
Heejin had wrapped her arm around Hyunjin's neck as she sprinted to the nearby infirmary. Looking down at Hyunjin's face, Heejin could only blush at the girls care in her eye and her strength keeping her up.
"T-thank you Hyunjin" Heejin said looking at Hyunjin who blushed and just looked forward, "Shut it" Hyunjin replied, continuing to sprint making Heejin smile and rest her head on the girls warm shoulder.
Soon later the girls had made their ways to the infirmary and were soon brought to small room after Heejin had gotten some X-rays done.
"Thank you again and...sorry for before" Heejin said looking to the ground and fixing her clothes. Hyunjin looked at the girl who was sitting in silence, sighing before making her way in front of the girl.
"It's ok, I shouldn't have punched so hard anyways" Hyunjin replied walking in front of Heejin and sitting down on an opposite resting bed, "I deserved it anyways, I crossed a line that I shouldn't have" Heejin slumped looking down at her foot as Hyunjin couldn't hide her guilt.
"Heejin it's not your fault, you were just getting carried away. Don't be so hard on yourself" Hyunjin had walked over to the girl and lifted up her chin to make her face the girl as Heejin couldn't hide the bright blush that spread across her cheeks. Hyunjin's beauty was something that all could truly admire, and Heejin wanted to admire it all.
The two girls had looked into each others eyes for a split moment as the tension could be seen in the eye contact, but was soon cut off when the nurse had come through the door.
"Oh! am I interrupting something?" The nurse had asked as the two girls had looked at each other and pulled away embarrassed, "No please go ahead" Heejin replied, trying her best to get rid of her blush.
"Well some good news, your ankle isn't broken but sprained" the nurse explained, "You will need to wear a foot splint and use crutches for at least a week and then you should be good as new! just pick it up at the front and you can head back on your way" the nurse continued as the two girls nodded before the nurse had left the room.
"You ready to go?" Heejin asked Hyunjin as the girl nodded helping Heejin out the door to get her things.
Afterwards, the girls had safely made their ways back to the dorms as the was now it was only a couple of hours before the girls were going to make their ways to classes.
"Thanks again for everything" Heejin said standing by her door with her now equip crutches, "No problem it's the least I could do for punching you in the face" Hyunjin said as the two laughed.
"You know you're really strong. Have you ever tried professional arm wrestling?" Heejin joked earning a slap on the arm from Hyunjin, "Ow i'm already injured as it is" Heejin whined as the smile grew on the girls faces.
Heejin then began to open her door and stood inside looking directly into Hyunjins eyes, "I guess i'll see you soon?" Heein asked looking deeply into the girls eyes almost like a gaze that pierced through Hyunjins face.
Heejin trying her best to lean in, had stared at Hyunins lips aiming to connect the twos together but Hyunjin already knew how Hyunjin was.
"Alright good night Heejin!" Hyunjin bid a farewell waving off to Heejin and leaving the girl hanging as she made her way to her dorms. Heejin had opened her eyes and stood near the door step as a blush grew on her face.
"That Kim Hyunjin is something else."
END OF FLASHBACK~
"Wow, who would see the day that the one and only Jeon Heejin got stood up" Yeojin said earning a slap on her shoulder from Heejin, " I did not get stood up ok. She just wasn't ready yet...I guess" Heejin could feel the shear embarrassment as the girls at the table laughed.
"Anyways, did you score at least?" Jiwoo asked earning a sigh from Heejin, "No, I don't think I had the time to when I sprained my ankle Jiwoo!!" Heejin angrily yelled at the girl making Jiwoo scared.
"Well I would make a move soon you only have two weeks and 6 days left" Yeojin said making the panic go through Heejin's body, "Yeah whatever" Heejin replied packing up her things and quickly leaving the table making all the girls confused.
"Whats her problem?" Yeojin asked as all the girls shrugged looking at Heejin who was walking away.
Heejin wasn't mad, angry or sad but more or less worried and scared, she knew she was quickly running out of time for the challenge.
Heejin decided that it was the best idea to get some fresh air, she made her way onto the open field and sat on a near by bench breathing in and out calmly but what she didn't notice that there was another girl looking at her from afar.
"Hyunjin! Hyunjin! did you not just hear a word i just said?" Hyeju shouted at the distracted girl in front of her who was looking at a certain someone, "Huh or sorry continue" Hyunjin just shrugged off the girl continuing her staring.
"What are you looking at anyways?" Hyeju looks in the direction of Hyunjins staring to see Heejin still sitting by herself, "Ohh that's why" Chaewon said as the blood rushed to Hyunjins face.
"What? no she just looks lonely" Hyunjin stated earning a roll of the eyes from Hyeju,"Sure, sure why don't you go talk to her then" Hyeju says earning a glare from Hyunjin.
"Are you crazy?" Hyunjin said as Hyeju then got up and held onto Hyunjins hand pulling the girl with her over to where Heejin is.
"Hey! crutches girl, this is Hyunjin, she seems interested in you so much to not listen to my story so you talk with her bye!" Hyeju left Hyunjin an embarrassed mess looking at Heejin who had a smirk on her face.
"Is this true?" Heejin asked the girl who was avoiding eye contact with her, "Even if it is, don't think of it like that" Hyunjin said sitting next Heejin, staring at her foot.
"So how's your ankle?" Hyunjin asked looking at is as Heejin shrugged, "It's ok, I just want this cast thingy off as soon as possible" Heejin said moving her leg around before an idea popped into her head.
"You know I haven't replayed you back for the cast bill, why don't I take you somewhere fun to thank you" Heejin suggested earning a nod from Hyunjin, "No need to thank me i'll be fine" Hyunjin replied earning a smile from Heejin.
"Oh come on Hyunjin. You, me and the ice cream parlor after classes are done. My treat..Please" Heejin pouted at Hyunjin as the cat like girl averted her eyes.
"I heard they have a cat shaped ice cream sandwiches" Heejin said the jackpot word, Hyunjin turning her head to face the girl that still had a pout on her face.
"Fine." Was all that she replied earning a celebration from Heejin as she went in to hug the girl but was stopped when Hyunjin pushed her away with a smile, "yeah i don't do hugs" Hyunjin said looking back up into the sky.
On the other hand the couple back at their table had spent their entire time watching the girls entire conversation.
"Who knew Hyunjin would be talking to a girl one day, I thought she would end up a lonely cat lady" Hyeju said eating her food, "Yeah but there's just something about that girl i don't trust, she looks so familiar too" Chaewon said as Hyeju shrugged, "I mean she looks harmless right, what can she really be hiding?" Hyeju asked, "I don't know but I just don't trust her". Chaewon said but Hyeju just shrugged it off.
Maybe Chaewon was just overreacting... right?
Fast forwarding to later, Heejin and Hyunjin had began to make their way to the Ice cream parlor and walked along the sidewalk.
"So is this an official date?" Heejin wiggled her eyebrows at Hyunjin who couldn't hold back a laugh, "In your dreams Jeon, I just came for the ice cream cat" Hyunjin stated earning a pout from Heejin as the girls were finally at the ice cream parlor.
The two then quickly made their way inside and ordered their things as Hyunjin was in awe of the ice cream treat that was in front of her, and Heejin couldn't hide how cute she found the girl in front of her. The two had then gotten a tale and sat down, enjoying what they got.
"I'll take it that you like the ice cream?" Heejin asked looking at the girl who was basically playing with her food at this point, "Whatever you just jealous anyways, who eats just plain vanilla" Hyunjin complained earning a smile from Heejin.
"At least i don't have ice cream on my face" Heejin said pointing a smear of ice cream on the girls cheek, taking up a napkin to wipe the spot but easily getting distracted by Hyunjins beauty again.
Hyunjin had seen Heejins gaze go to her lips and the feeling of small butterflies had filled the girls stomach before she had cleared her throat making Heejin quickly move away.
"Sorry I just got distracted by your beauty" Heejin said in a cheesy tone earning an eye roll from Hyunjin, "Shut up and eat your ice cream, you flirt" Hyunjins blush showing how much Heejin affected her as the two continued to eat their treats.
As the two girls soon finished their treats paid by Heejin, the girls made their ways back to the school dorms and all the way to Heejins front door with the help of Hyunjin getting her up the stairs.
"So are we gonna classify this as a first date or?" Heejin asked making Hyunjin sigh, "Fine this is a first date, between friends" Hyunjin replied earning a smirk from Heejin, "So were friends now?" Heejin asked making Hyunjin scoffed.
"Anyways goodnight, I guess I had a good time" Hyunjin confessed, "You know we can have an even better time if we just fu-" Heejin was cut off by Hyunjin covering her mouth and quickly leaving the girl, "Good night Heejin and we are never doing that!" Hyunjin said leaving Heejin behind once again.
Heejin sighed removing her crutches to get inside her dorm room as she slowly flopped onto her bed feeling her high pacing heartbeat in her chest from remembering the sight off Hyunjins beauty in the ice cream parlor.
Heejin didn't know what was happening to her. She usually would never feel this way about some random girl, but Hyunjin made her feel this way.
She was almost light headed by the though of the girl and her heart was pounding outside her chest. Maybe Hyunjin was just supposed to be a mission for Heejin to do but Heejin wanted more.
She wanted Hyunjin.
