~~Hokage pov~~
"Lord Hokage it's Tenten and Kiwayo." Tenten knocked on the door as said.
"Come in." This was interesting I had looked at them a couple times throughout yesterday with my crystal ball. The one jutsu Kiwayo had done with the sword had been interesting. It was a B rank jutsu and could possibly be an A rank.
"Lord Hokage as far as where Kiwayo should be placed. I think she should be placed with the graduating class. They don't graduate for six more months making this the perfect chance for her to gain the skills she needs. She knows a powerful jutsu but other than that her skills are lacking. She fairly close to being prepared to graduate. A lot of the simple stuff was skipped when she was being trained." Tenten pulled a small notebook out of her pocket and ripped a page out. "These are the statistics for her scores of course I didn't administer a written test. You would have to do that yourself." She handed me the paper.
"Hmm, these are decent scores. Really close to what I would expect from a genin. Alright we'll send her to the academy tomorrow." I looked at one of the Anbu at my side. "Send for Iruka."
"Yes, Lord Hokage." The Anbu disappeared to go do his job. Another Anbu appeared where the other one was. Taking his previous position. Not that I needed it. I'm the hokage.
"So, i'm starting tomorrow?" Kiwayo questioned.
"Yes, Kiwayo. Don't worry I'll have someone pick you up. Since it's your first day." I assured her. She was a bit nervous.
"Okay." She seemed content here. She was more relaxed and less on edge than when I first met her.
"You can go home Kiwayo." I gave the little girl a smile. I saw the Anbu watching her outside of the window. I gave him a nod as to thank the ninja.
"Bye, Lord Hokage-chan." I sweat dropped at the -chan it was embarrassing. One of Anbu behind me chuckled silently. Kiwayo left before I began talking again I followed her chakra signature out of the building.
"Tenten, how is Kiwayo doing?" I asked her.
"When I put her in a genjutsu with me dying she said 'not another, not again. I don't want to see another person die. There have been too many already.' She had a indescribable sad look on her face before she began crying. Her parents are dead. She also comments she had no friends. I'll let you draw your own conclusions. To say the least it is troubling
"I wonder what that means. Her parent are dead. Perhaps she watched them die?"
"I got the feeling that it was more people but that is probably true also."
"This makes me wonder what her past is." I know she is not a threat, the investigation unit made sure of that, but I can't help wonder what happened to her.
"Didn't you have someone investigate her mind?"
"I did but I don't like knowing what people have been through it they're are not a threat. She will tell me if she want to." If your not a threat or a potential threat I don't care what's in their mind. She is a special case. Since she is so young and a ninja I decided to let her stay but one can never be too careful. This jutsu of hers could be a potential threat to the village. For now I don't know time will help.
"Oh, I guess that's good."
"Anything else?"
"That's the major thing. I will send in a type written report about the last two day soon."
"Thank you,Tenten. You are dismissed." With that Tenten left. She left quietly. I started to work on some paperwork. Paperwork is the enemy of all hokages. After that Iruka arrived.
"Lord Hokage it's me Iruka."
"Iruka that was faster than I had expected."
"Well, I came as soon as possible."
"Have you heard about the new girl who we found outside the village a week ago?"
"Yes, just bits and pieces it seems you trust her?"
"We investigated her for the first five days she was here. Assuring she was not a threat. I think she would be a valuable ally, this is just speculation but I think she has a connection with the village.
Earlier this day I had Tenten test her skills. I'm going to place her in your class she might be a bit behind but, I believe she will catch up."
"I understand your reasoning of why you're keeping her here. However why is she going to the ninja academy?"
"If you had someone who needed to be constantly monitored but also could be an ally to the village what you do?"
"Be nice to them. Assuring their loyalty."
"The ninja academy not only does it force her to make friends, which will keep her tied to the village, it assures that she will be watched all the time. It will also allow her to polish her skills. If she graduates this year I put her with the strongest genin sensei. She will also always be watched by an Anbu when not with her sensei. I don't thinks she a foe but I can't take that chance." Iruka seemed satisfied with my reasoning.
"So she's joining my class?"
"Yes, also I would like you to send someone over to her place in the morning to take her to school preferably a student who's also a girl. It's also possible she's behind so help her catch up in that regard."
"I know just the person."
"Good. Thank you Iruka."
"No problem Lord Hokage."
"You are dismissed then." I waited a while till Iruka left. I went to my room with the crystal ball in it and began observing.
~~Kiwayo Pov~~
I made my way home. Nearly allured several time by the tempting smell of food. I looked up at the sky it was nearly dark the sun was setting. I saw a bench looking out at the village a bit from here. I moved towards the bench. I sat down and looked at the stunning sunset. I couldn't help but think.
Perhaps I could belong here. They were so nice they took a stranger like me into the village and even started me at the ninja academy. What a nice village. I began fantasizing about all the wonderful friends I would make, how popular I would be. I started swinging my legs. I was so happy. It was better than before.
I watched the city for a couple of minutes after the sunset. The lights would slowly go on it was rather interesting. One of the closer houses flipped their lights on. Their blinds were open and you could see the whole family. The dad laughing, the mom sitting next to him and the children bouncing around. I was sad that my family was gone now. I had loved them. I had been fighting for a cause that had been lost long ago.
I didn't stay there much longer and I set off towards my apartment. I had gotten lost 3 times before I got home. Exhausted from all the training I had done I flopped onto my bed. I looked at my sakura necklace from my mom and rubbed it a bit. I did that went I was nervous or excited. Not that I would admit how excited I was. I went to bed happy that night, excited for what was ahead.
I heard the beeping of my alarm when I woke up that next morning. I slept in and didn't wake up on my own that was strange. I had a bit of a hard time getting out of bed. My body wanted to sleep longer. My muscles were sore. I had done some stretches before I went to bed too. I started stretching trying to make my muscles less sore. When I was finished I wasn't as sore. I quickly looked around thinking for what I should have for breakfast. I cracked an egg and make a omelet with soy sauce I even mixed some leftover rice into it. I called it 'Kiwayo surprise' satified with the dish I ate it happily. I looked at the clock. It was ten minutes before who ever was picking me up came. I rushed to get on my ninja clothes in a flurry and packed my lunch. I just scraped the extras of what I had made for breakfast into a bag and threw it into my bento box.
I heard a knock on my door it must be them. I opened the door and a pink haired girl was standing in front of me.
"Hello, i'm Sakura!" She gave me a smile.
"Nice to meet you Sakura-san. You can call me Kiwayo."
"Sakura is fine. Nice to meet you Kiwayo." She looked around my apartment. " Well, let's get going shall we."
"Yep." I grabbed my lunchbox and followed after her.
"So, since this is your first time in the village I might as well tell you the rules." I nodded in understanding. "One, you are absolutely not allowed to fall in love with Sasuke he is mine. Two, since you're new here you have to listen to me and what I ask you to do. Three, stay away from Naruto. I'll point him out to you when we get there and Sasuke of course." I raised my hand a little she nodded her head acknowledging I could speak.
"Why should I stay away from Naruto is he one of your friends love interest?"
"Ew, no he is a monster if you're friends with him everyone will hate you. People like him should just leave the village."
"Oh, okay." I definitely didn't want to be hated by my whole class on the first day and ruin my chances of making friends.
"Good, let's continue. Fourth, Ino MUST be referred to in the rudest way possible. You're not allowed to call her Ino-pig that's my insult. Think of your own insult for her. Fifth you are absolutely not allowed to embarrass or ruin my chances with Sasuke at all. He is so far above you. " She continued with a few more rules that didn't make sense but I would sure as heck follow. "So I think that's all of them. So what do you say wanna be friends?"
"Yep." I gave her my big smile. I already had a friend!
"Absolutely don't show that smile to Sasuke. He might get the idea that you like him." I nodded my head. After that we talked about other stuff until we got to the academy. She walked with me to our classroom. She pointed out the people she mentioned earlier. Most of the class was there. Even the infamous Naruto she had told me about. I made sure not to look at him too long.
"Ah, the new student. Come with me." It was a man with brown hair pulled back and a scar across the bridge of his nose. He was wearing an awful lot of green.
"Okay," I followed him outside of the classroom.
"I'm your sensei. You can call me Iruka-sensei."
"Okay, Iruka-sensei."
"Good, when I call your name come into the class. I'll say something along the lines of 'class we have a new student today. So please be nice and welcome her. Come in Kiwayo.' Got it?"
"Yes, Sensei."
"Good i'm going to head in there. So wait patiently." He headed into the class room.
"Good morning, class how's your weekend been. Practicing your ninja skills?" He laughed at some of the replies."Anyway today we have a new student. Please be nice and show her around, be a friend. Come in Kiwayo." I gulped and stumbled in looking at the class. "Introduce your self Kiwayo."
"I'm Kasaichi, Kiwayo. Please call me Kiwayo." I started fidgeting with my fingers unsure what to do now.
"Go on tell them some things about yourself. What your like, dislike, hobbies."
"I like Meat and warm beds. I dislike sad things and hate more than anything being lied to. As for what I like to do in my spare time. I haven't ever really had much spare time so I would love to try new things."
"Any questions for her class?"
A little girl with twin pigtails that hang out to the side started talking without waiting for Iruka-sensei to call on her.(A/N she's not a character in the series just some random girl)
"Where did you live before this?" The girl with pigtails asked enthusiastically. She kinda reminded me of lizard.
"A little south of here." I responded coolly but nervously. Sakura told me to be a little mysterious.
"Oh." She was clearly disappointed with the answer. Iruka looked at the few students who had their hand up.
"Did you move here with your family?" Another girl asked. The girls in this class were nosy.
"I haven't had any in a long time so no." A couple of kids looked a little uncomfortable when I said that.
"Why are you even here then?" The same nosy pig tailed girl asked. The whole class seemed interested in the answer. Iruka-sensei gave the girl a look that said 'that is rude'. He didn't stop her cause he to was interested in the answer.
"The village took me in." She seemed a little annoyed by my vague answers.
"Isn't that a little dangerous? She could be a spy." Iruka-sensei stepped in this time. It was clear she wasn't talking to me anymore rather she was questioning the teacher. She was a smart-ass.
"She has been cleared by the hokage himself to be here. Don't worry." He told the noisy girl with a smile. She had obviously been looking for a more clear answer she seemed like the gossip type. I was not one to judge however.
"Sensei I have a question for her." It was the blonde boy who I was to stay away from. Menma I think?
"This is the last question, Naruto go ahead." All the hands who had been wanting to ask a question fell. More had risen each time I had answered a question. It was Naruto... You can't blame though. Menma and Naruto both go in ramen.
"Do you even know any ninja skills? If you want I could teach you. We could be friends. What do you think?" He was a little bit excited. The whole classes attention at that point was on me.
"No thanks." I made sure to kinda cold to him. Sakura gave a head nod of approval. The Naruto kid looked away and crossed his arms. It made me feel a bit sad but, I had to ignore him. For the sake of my future as a ninja.
"Well, Kiwayo where should be have you sit?" There was an empty seat next to Sakura. I hope he sits me there. "There's a seat next to Shikamaru. Shikamaru wave your hand to show her who to sit next to." The boy muttered something under his breath and then did as the sensei asked. I went to sit down next to him and then ninja school began.
Quick authors note,
I'm wondering if I should change the Land of the waves event, or just not include it? I feel like is written too much in fan fictions. It's also essental. I mean Naruto promises not to be a scardy cat and Sasuke gets his sharigan. (I think). They also see what it's like to be a real ninja and experience death. Then again I'm sick of reading the event. Please, Please comment what you think below.
Also I know it's slow but this is the way I write. Slow and detailed. I think it's more realistic that way. So yet again please leave comments. It's going to get more interesting I promise.
