Story Note:
This chapter explores mature themes such as drug use
"Welcome to the Fall!" Asmodeus smiled brightly as he and Alicia were escorted into the club. The party had already begun, with music blasting so loud one would barely be able to hear themselves think. Alicia took in the scene and shrank a bit into herself. It looked so...busy. She took a sip from the water bottle Asmo snuck in for her and sighed. "It's so lively."
"I know, isn't it great?" The demon revealed in the feeling of desire that enveloped the room. He looked down at Alicia and smiled. "You're going to do great." He placed his hand on the small of her back and walked her to the bar. "One horn of Demonus please?"
"Asmodeus!" A group of party-goers crowded around the bar, mainly trapping Alicia and Asmo against the counter. Alicia stepped to the side while Asmo held conversations, casually managing to sneak away from the group before she had a panic attack. She sighed and looked around the room, there were people on the dance floor, on the stage, and women dancing on the tables. Her eyes scanned the room, looking for a comfortable spot on the wall before settling on one of the leather couches in the center.
Saphonya was having a good time with her sisters, drinking and dancing her cares away. What did it matter that Mammon hung the phone up in her face? And so what she went on an obsessive internet search on the human? None of that mattered, tonight was the night to have fun and relax.
Angela danced with an incubus, her eyes glowing softly as she looked up at him. "Mmm...I can't wait to..." She stopped when she spotted a human on the couches. "Saph, is that her?"
"Who?" Saphonya turned and stopped when she saw the human girl Mammon was stuck on. Her carefree facade broke for a moment, and she laughed. "Asmo mastered putting lipstick on a pig." She stirred her drink a little and contemplated what to do next. If she was here, did that mean Mammon was also here? "Angie, give me the bag of sweethearts you have?"
"But I was gonna use these later," Angela whined and held out the bag to her older sister.
"Stop being a baby, I only need one or two. You have 10. You don't need that much." Saphonya walked off and plopped down in the seat next to the girl. "Whew, I love it here. I never want this night to end." She looked over at Alicia and smiled. "Oh my Diavolo, I love your hair. And that dress...It's amazing."
Alicia looked at the woman next to her and blushed a little. "Thanks...I wasn't too sure about the dress but, if someone as pretty as you think it looks nice, it might look nice."
"More than nice. I have never seen you around here before. Are you new to the Devildom?"
"Um...Just visiting." Alicia finished her water bottle and tucked it away in her bag. Saphonya smiled and reached out to hold her hand.
"Well, welcome to the Devildom. I'm sure you're already having an amazing time. Where are you staying? Maybe I can recommend a few spots for you to check out."
"I'm staying at the Royal Academy of Diavolo, I'm a student there for the year."
"Oh! You must be their human exchange student." A bright smile graced Saphonya's face. "Which means you're probably under the care of the Student Council. How's that going for you?"
Alicia shrunk away a bit to all the questions. All she wanted to do was go home and play games on her phone, but now she was getting the third degree from some random demoness at the club. "They're very welcoming for the most part."
"Really? That's a first." Saphonya picked one of the candies out of the bag and popped it in her mouth, holding it under her tongue. "Candy?"
"Why do you say that?" Alicia looked down at the bag and shook her head. "I'm fine, not a big candy person."
"Oh come, we're known for exceptional sweets down here. Everyone loves them." While Alicia tried the candy, Saphonya crossed her legs and studies her. She felt like she's met this human before, before sending her shade after her, but she couldn't remember why. "Anyway, about the Student Council, I'm surprised you have anything nice to say about them. They're all Lords under Lord Diavolo, they're not very nice people."
"It was a rough transition at first." Alicia bit down into the candy heart and smiled. "But everyone is coming around slowly. One of them invited me here tonight." She looked around for Asmo but didn't see him.
"Really? Where is he?"
"He's having a conversation with some friends, he should be over soon." Alicia laughed a little and sighed, feeling a little lighter in her seat. "The guys are great, what are you talking about?"
"They're literally sin embodied. I wouldn't find myself close to any of them if I didn't have the means to protect myself. Especially the one with the white hair...He's true scum."
"Mammon? No...He's not scum. He's nice. Kind of an asshole, but he's been nice." Alicia blushed when she thought about Mammon. "You all say he's scum because he's having money troubles."
"He's scum in more ways than one. The last girl he dated wouldn't stop complaining about him. She even left the Devildom." Saphonya sipped from her glass and smiled. "Didn't want to run the risk of running into him."
"That doesn't make any sense...Mammon is the Avatar of Greed. If he liked her, he would shower her with wealth and gifts. It's not like she was with Satan, who might've gone off on her."
"Oh, you're such a cutie." Saphonya crossed her legs and leaned back. "Let me tell you that story."
Mammon walked into the club and looked around. Where the fuck was Alicia? His eyes scanned the room and spotted Asmo in the back with a group of demons. He walked over and pulled him from the group. "Hey, have you seen Alicia? I need to take her home."
"Are you serious? No. Alicia's here having a good time." He looked around and smiled when he saw her on the couch. "Not doing what I thought she would, but she's having a nice conversation." Mammon turned around and saw Alicia with Saphonya.
"That's Saphonya, you idiot!"
"Yup. He showered her with fine jewels and fancy clothes. He bought her the newest gadgets, but he's very possessive. He didn't like her giving attention to other people, not just guys. If someone didn't know him, they'd think he was the Avatar of Envy." Saphonya pouted a bit. "It's like he wanted to keep her as his pretty dress-up doll."
Alicia sat there and pouted, she didn't like what she was hearing, and suddenly it felt like her nerves were on fire. She could never imagine Mammon being so possessive. Levi maybe, Lucifer? Probably, but Mammon? It didn't make sense. She wanted a distraction. "I don't like gossiping." Her eyes wandered to the stage and she smiled brightly. "Do you dance? I wanna go dance."
"Girl, I'm a little too far into my drinks to go dancing, but you should have fun." Saphonya watched Alicia run to the stage. "Stupid girl."
Mammon stormed over to Saphonya and took a seat. "What did you do?"
"Mammie, so nice to see you. I was afraid you weren't going to show up tonight." Saphonya draped herself on his shoulder and she smiled. "I just had a conversation with your little pet. Candy?"
He pushed her off of him and took the bag. He recognized these candy hearts...It was the Umbra brand of ecstasy. "Did she eat this? Where is she?"
"Hmm...I think she just went to make an ass of herself on stage." Saphonya gripped Mammon's wrist so he wouldn't leave her. "Just enjoy the show. She only had one, she'll be fine."
Mammon growled and pulled his hand free, sitting on the edge of his seat. He watched Alicia as she stumbled on the stage and danced for a short while before grabbing the microphone. She swayed with the music and hummed a little to herself.
"What do ya get out of this, huh? What do you get out of embarrassing this human?"
"The satisfaction of knowing that it gets under your skin." Saphonya rolled her eyes and smirked. "She's just a human, there's plenty of them on the surface to make your toys."
"She's not a toy!" Mammon growled and his hand gripped her dress. "You're doing way too much over something so small."
"You think this is just about her? You seem to forget something, you are not just some small part of my life, Mammon. You're mine, you've been mine for over 1,000 years. You belong to me, and you'd be wise to realize that instead of chasing after some ugly little human!" Saphonya's eyes changed color to a fire like orange. "You wanna protect her from everything?! Let's see if you can protect her from you." Saphonya grabbed another candy and crushed it in her hand. She blew the dust in his face and vanished from his sight.
Mammon coughed and covered his face only for a second before he went looking for her. He stopped when he saw Alicia being assisted off stage to dance with a handful of demons. He growled and his eyes started glowing.
Quickly, he moved through the crowd, shoving people out of his way. Alicia felt someone grab her wrist and she almost snatched her hand back but stopped when she saw it was Mammon. "Mammon, you made it." She giggled and rested against his chest, looking up at his face closely. "You look upset." She moved her fingers down his chest and hummed lightly. "Wanna go get some air? Oh! There's this lady with this candy, it killed my anxiety so easily. We should find her."
"Alicia we're going home, now."
"But I'm having a good time with my friends." Alicia pouted and pulled her hand free. "I'm not doing anywhere."
"You heard the human, she's not going anywhere." One of the male onlookers tried to separate the two, and Mammon snapped his wrist with ease.
"This is my human, I'm taking her home." Humanity was gone from his voice, and that caused Alicia to try and pull her arm free. Not giving her much room to protest further, Mammon threw her over his shoulder and walked out of the club with her.
"You're no fun!" Alicia started pounding his back and he placed her on her feet when they got to the ally close to the house. He looked down at her and cupped her chin.
"Those weren't your friends." His voice was hoarse, his nose was killing him, and all he wanted to do was rip that dress off of her. How much longer would they have until they fully lost themselves? "Those demons would've passed ya around until they were done and devoured you after. Let's go."
"I don't want to go anywhere with you. You're scaring me." Alicia tried to pull her arm free again and Mammon jerked her in place.
"Damn it human we don't have time for this childish bullshit." Mammon did his best to focus, but he was started to see red, and he once again felt straining in his jeans. He picked her up again and ran back to the house.
After ignoring her pleas the whole way over, Mammon put her back on her feet in front of the door. He was glad Lucifer was out with Diavolo for the night. He didn't want to explain why the girl was high out of her mind, or why he was fighting his hardest to keep from shifting in his demon form.
"Listen up human-"
"That's not my name," Alicia whined and hit Mammon in his chest. "Call me by my name."
"Alicia...please." Mammon pressed his hands on either side of her head and was close to her face. "You're working some serious stuff through your body right now, you need rest."
"I want Asmo." The girl rested her head against Mammon's chest and held his shirt tightly. "You scared me."
"I'm sorry..." Mammon gently tilted her head up to look at him. "I didn't mean to..."
The two stared at each other for a little while, and before he knew what happened, Alicia kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tiptoed to kiss him.
That didn't help with his current situation, but he didn't care. Returning the kiss, he hosted the girl up to his hips and opened her bedroom door. He carried her in and kicked the door closed. He laid her on her back and ripped her dress with his claws.
"Alicia..." He tore his clothes off and continued making out with the beautiful woman beneath him, stopping only when she was no longer engaging. "Alicia?" He gently pressed his fingers on her neck, a steady pulse. She'd fallen asleep.
He slowly got off of her and sighed. "Shit." He went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water for her and a handful of pain killers. His finger slowly traced the curves on her body and he fought back a growl. Take a shower. He stepped into her bathroom and took a long, cold shower to cool down.
His vision went back to normal, and he felt more at ease. He wondered if he should tell Lucifer about Saphonya and her tricks...Don't be an idiot. He'll just blame you. He looked down at his human and shook his head. "So much trouble." He took off her shoes and climbed into bed with her. After the night they had, he was sure she wanted to wake up with someone familiar.
