Imagine- You and your friend, Kelsey, are going to the abandoned Camp Redwood. While you're there you run into someone that you don't know.

Your POV-
Tense: present
"This place is gross." I say walking through the woods. Kelsey isn't to far behind me.
"I know right?!" We make our way up to a group of cabins.
"Finally! Some cabins! Let's go!"
"I wonder which one was the boys or girls..." Kelsey says.
"Does it really matter since this place is abandoned."
"I guess not." Kelsey says shrugging. We run to the nearest cabin and walk inside.
"It's not as dusty and dirty as I thought..." I say.
"Montana I told you, you can't just walk in he-" A man appears in front of us and freezes. "What the hell?! Who are you?!" The man yells.
"Who are you?!" Kelsey yells back.
"You shouldn't be here! You need to get out now!" Xavier yells.
"Huh?" I ask. "Then why can you stay?"
"It's... complicated." He rolls his eyes. "I'm trying to be nice! Just listen to me!" He shouts.
"Why do you look like you just went to some 80s party..." Kelsey asks. I smack her arm. "Sorry." She mumbles.
"Well. Uh." He freezes. "You need to go before the other find out there are normal people here."
"Others? Normal people?" I ask.
"Go before I let them kill you."
"That's a death threat!" I shout.
"God you're annoying." The man groans.
"I get that a lot." I whisper.
"You wanna know! Fine." He inhales. "Anyone who dies here gets stuck here. I died here in 1984 as a camp counselor by some psycho bitch and now I'm stuck in this living hell." My eyebrows raise. "Can you go now?"
"Really..." I say quietly.
"You wanna see. Give me that pocket knife." I hand him my pocket knife. He slits his own throat.
"OH MY GOD! HE JUST KILLED HIMSELF!" Kelsey yells. I stop her.
"I'm fine." The man says walking through the front door. "I told you." My mouth hangs wide open in shock. "The one who killed me is stuck here and so is the infamous Richard Ramirez."
"The Night Stalker?!" I say.
"Yep. Enough information, good." Suddenly another guy walks in.
"Xavier what the hell!" He shouts
"Chet, these girls won't leave."
"Xavier... Chet... those names..." I pull out a research book. "They did die here."
"How much did you tell them?" Chet asks. Check picks up the pocket knife.
"Chet... don't do it. You always told Montana and I not to, so why can you."
"Because you told them about us! We don't want a bunch of ghost researchers or other random people bothering us. It's annoying."
"Chet don't be an asshole." Xavier tells him. Chet walks closer to us with the knife.
"You're one to talk." Chet says rolling his eyes.
"Wait! At least kill me, but don't kill Kelsey, she has a boyfriend and other family."
"Mk, whatever." Chet says and let's Kelsey go.
"Chet this isn't like you." Xavier says.
"I'm sorry Xavier but we can't have them in here!" He says. Suddenly the pocket knife is plunged into my chest.
I wake up in the cabin. Xavier is standing over me yelling at Chet.
"Just go watch Margret or something!" Xavier shouts. Chet stops off. He looks down at me. "You're awake..."
