Chapter Twenty
Tatum held tightly onto Angel as he wrapped his tattooed arms around her. After her talk with Jax, the blue haired woman left SAMCRO's clubhouse quickly and drove as fast as the speed limit allowed to make it to Oakland before Angel headed back to Santo Padre. She didn't want to hold it in anymore, she wanted Angel to know she was in love with him, and honestly she'd tell it to everyone in the world if she could.
"I love you, Angel." Tatum said as she put her hands on the front of his Mayans kutte, looking up into his brown eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but I was scared. I was so fucking scared of you leaving that I didn't take the time to figure out my feelings for you, and I was so scared of winding up like my parents." She rambled while tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I mean I still am, bu-"
Angel grabbed Tatum's hand, placing a kiss to her fingertips which effectively stopped her rambling. "I love you too, Tatum." He said with a smile that took over his whole face. "You got shit to be sorry for, mi amor." Angel said firmly. "You've always been my first choice, and I'm sorry for ever makin' you feel like you weren't." He said while placing his lips softly against her.
Tatum melted into Angel's kiss, her lips moving in sync with his. Tatum knew it was cheesy, but when Angel kissed her she saw fireworks and felt sparks. It was much more than whenever Jax kissed her. Jax was familiar and there was nothing but lust there, but with Angel there was so much more than lust. Angel Reyes was the love of her life, and Jax Teller never was.
A loud chorus of cheers and whistles made the happy couple reluctantly break apart from each other. A grin on Angel's face and a smile on Tatum's as they looked over to see Santo Padre and Oakland Mayans watching them with smug smiles on their faces.
"Fuckin' finally!" Coco yelled. "I was gettin' sick of seein' you brood around like fuckin' boy scout ." Coco laughed as he slapped EZ on the back.
"Shut the fuck up, Coco." Angel said with a laugh as he stuck up his middle finger. Angel wrapped his arm around Tatum's tattooed shoulder, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "I love you, mi sol."
Tatum looked up at him with a smile so wide she was certain her face was going to get stuck like that. "I love you too, mi amor."

Tatum stood in her childhood bedroom packing up the last of her things. Today was her last day in Charming, though she'd be back in a month for Cal and Ima's wedding. She was excited to be going back home and resuming her life. It had been a rough two weeks, but it had ended just the way it was suppose to. She sent a quick text to Angel, letting him know she'd be hitting the road after she made a quick stop at TM to say her goodbyes.
The blue haired woman zipped up her suitcase and pulled on her leather jacket before walking out of the bedroom she prayed she wouldn't have to see anytime soon or ever again really. Tatum knew it for sure after these two weeks that the life she once had in Charming was long dead and gone, and she never wanted it back. She would never call this small town her home again.
The drive to TM was short and Tatum was grateful for that. She made her way towards the clubhouse with a smile on her face, she was more than ready to be back on the road towards Santo Padre and back in Angel's arms. Tatum's eyes adjusted to the dim clubhouse as she entered it, Cal noticed her first and made his way towards her with Ima at his side.
"Hey, little big sister." He teased as he pulled her into a tight hug.
"Hey, big little brother." Tatum laughed as she wrapped her arms around him.
She could see Ima standing there awkwardly over Cal's shoulder. Tatum and Ima hadn't had any interaction besides that one lunch they had, and a part of Tatum felt bad for not trying harder to give the blonde a chance. It didn't matter how she felt about Ima after all. Cal was in love with her and having a child with her and Tatum wasn't going to express her distaste towards the blonde anymore. At least not in Cal's presence.
"I'll be back in a month." She reassured Cal with a smile. "I wouldn't miss your wedding for the world." Tatum said with a smile as she looked at Ima.
"Thank you." Ima said, surprising everyone in the clubhouse by hugging Tatum. "I didn't get a chance to ask you, but I want you to be my maid of honor." The blonde said with a hopeful smile. "I don't have many friends." She said in a low voice.
"Sure." Tatum said with a nod. She knew Ima and her would never be best friends or close like sisters, but she could try for Cal's sake.
It was fifteen more minutes of saying goodbye before Tatum was finally done. The only person who she had yet to say goodbye to was Jax, and no one was really sure where the VP was either. Tatum said goodbye one more time before heading out of the clubhouse, her eyes blinking a few times to adjust to the bright Charming sun.
Tatum's eyes looked over at her mustang, a smile on her face as she noticed Jax leaning against it with a cigarette hanging from his lips. "Hey, Teller." She greeted.
"Hey, darlin'." He said with a smile as he tossed his cigarette to the ground. "Sorry I'm late. I had stuff to handle." Jax said.
Tatum nodded. "At least you're here. I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye to my best friend." She said while wrapping her arms around him.
"You're my best friend too, T." Jax said, kissing the top of her head. "I'm sorry for all the shit I put you through. I know Reyes will treat you better than I ever could." He said while twirling a piece of her hair around his finger. Jax knew she'd be back in a month for Cal's wedding, but he also knew things were forever different between them now.
"I gotta go, Jax." Tatum said while pulling out of his embrace. "You need to find happiness, Jax." She told him before placing a kiss on his cheek.
Jax nodded as he watched Tatum get into her mustang. "I will, Tatum." He promised.
Tatum looked up at Jax with one last smile before driving out of TM, Jax and the lot growing small and further away the more she drive down the road. A sigh of relief left her lips as they soon disappeared from her vision, she couldn't wait to be back in Santo Padre where she belonged, and where the love of her life was.
Tatum James has finally allowed herself to find love and she couldn't have been any happier.
