*Time Skip to the Day Before They Leave*
Zach and I did all of the activities that we didn't get to do earlier. I put on my two piece bathing suit and spread sun screen on my body. I apply water proof everything makeup, so I don't look like a vampire and I don't have mascara dripping from my eyes.
"Gorgeous?" I ask
"Yup!" Zach screams from the other side of the room
"Can you put sunscreen on my back please?"
"Okey Dokey!" He screams running towards me.
I hear him open up the bottle and the yucky sound of him squirting it out. Then I feel something cold touch my back. Zach rubs the sunscreen on my back, and I do the same to him. We take a beach bag with towels, comb, and sunglasses. I close the door behind him and we walk down the garden walk to the beach. I spot a stage with a crowd around it and Zach and I sprint to it.
"Okay ladies and gentlemen!" the man announces, "Aloha!" he screams
The crowd shouts 'Aloha' back
"We are going to teach all of you how to surf! So in the cabanas behind you, claim one, and put all of your belongings in there." He says pointing behind us
Zach bolts to the cabana in front of us and lays in the beach chair. I set our bag down and hold out my hand for Zach to grab. He reaches for it and we walk side by side, back to the stage. The man assigned Zach and I to a professional and led us to the water. He gave us surf boards that was fitting to our heights.
I carry the humongous board on my side and reach the water. I step in where the cold sea water reaches my knees.
"Okay now put the board down and lay belly first." Our instructor says.
I put the board on the water to where it is floating effortlessly. I lay down on my belly and start paddling.
"Good! Good! You are a natural!" He shouts.
I look over my shoulder and see Zach struggling to find balance. The instructor had to help Zach more than me.
I see a wave forming in the distance. I turn my board around and start paddling, faster, and faster. I get up and stretch my arms out to my side. I was standing on the board and was actually surfing. I hear people cheering for my and whistling. I scream and fall off my board but swim to the land. I was congratulated by, technically my instructor because Zach gave up ¾ through the lesson, "our" instructor who gave me a pat on the back and handed me a certificate.
We walk up to our room I relax while catching up on social media and my YouTube videos, while Zach was recording with his buddies.
6:00 After Zach finished recording, editing, rendering, and uploading he ordered us some pizza.
The usual Zachary I know
"CONGRADTULATIONS! MISS ALLISON CARPENTER! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY BETTER THAN ME!" Zach screams holding up a cup of water.
"I think to make it more official we need some beer." I say sounding like a snobby rich person, "I mean it is our last day here."
"True DAT!" He shouts slamming his cup of water on the desk, "Want me to get it?"
"Naw! I'll get it!" I say answering his question
"But this is your acccompl-"
"I am old enough dad!" I scream back at him in a jokingly way
We both laugh and I hug him 'goodbye.' We reenacted a sad couple leaving until he shuts the door in my face. Zach opens it again and I stick my tongue at him. He shuts me up with a kiss and then officially closes the door.
I walk out of the hotel's sliding door and a cold breeze hits my face causing my hair to go crazy. I look down at my phone, as there were directions on it to lead me to the store. I follow the blue arrow that directed me to the store. The smell of the asphalt filled the air and the street lights were the only thing that lit up where I was walking. I wasn't far from the hotel, 2-3 blocks away at most.
I make it to the store, CVS. The place the Google Maps directed me lacked, "happiness". I was scarce of people. I open the single door and a bell greets me. The light in the store was dim flickering whitish greenish color. I got to the back of the store where the drinks and fridges are. One of the employees was in the back on his phone and another was making out, with I am guessing his girlfriend, because I hope it isn't a random customer. I walk across the aisle and find the adult drinks. I grab the cheapest beer and bring it to the checkout line.
I walk up and a man scans my beer. He was wearing his uniform and a red hat covering his face, leaving just his mouth for me to see. He looks up to me. His face looks really familiar but I couldn't make out who it was. He opens his mouth.
"Allison?"
His voice sounded so familiar too. He take off his hat and talks again
"It is me, Mason."
