Rose's POV
We began driving around until we finally saw a Cheesecake Factory. "Ooh I've never been there before, I've heard it's good." I said pointing at the building. "Yeah it's good, wanna stop there?" He asked. I nodded. "Sounds good." He said while driving into the parking lot. "Damn it looks packed, hopefully we find a parking spot." Luke said while checking left and right. "Oh drop me off at the front!" I said. "Awwe you don't want to go parking hunting with me?" Luke pouted. "That's not it, I just thought that if there's no parking then there must be a long wait. I wanted to head in to book a table." I explained. "Oh ok, alright then little missy, I'll be looking for a parking spot. Go get that table." Luke said and stopped the car at the entrance. I nodded and walked out of the car and towards the entrance.
I walked into the restaurant and saw a crowd of people standing around, waiting for their table. I squeezed by to the hostess, "Good evening Ms. how many?" She asked. "For 2." I said. She nodded and looked at the list. "It'll be about an hour wait." She said. "Oh really? Hmm well let me talk to check first." I said. The hostess nodded and I squeezed by the crowd of people towards the exit. I opened the door and smashed myself into someone. I felt arms wrap about me that helped me from falling to the floor, I quickly looked up to apologize. "You should be more careful there cutie. I don't want you in any other guys arms." Luke chuckled. I blushed. "H-Hi Luke." I responded. "Hey. So how long is the wait?" He asked. "An hour..." I said. "Dang really? Do you wanna wait?" He asked. "Not really... but I'm not sure what else we could do." I replied. "Damn..." Luke muttered. I looked up to see Luke with an annoyed face. Could he be mad? I let go and stepped back. I saw his expression change and looked down at me in confusion. "What's up?" He asked. "Luke are you annoyed?" I asked. "Me? What? Why would you think that?" He asked while grabbing my hands. "I don't know, but all day today you've been having a weird face. Did I do something?" I asked. "No, hell no! I've just been thinking about what we could do. A-And I have an ugly thinking face." He joked. I giggled and smiled. "See, that's the smile I love so much." Luke said while placing his hand in my cheek. "Come on I think I have an idea of what we could do." He said while guiding me back to the car.
We got into the car and Luke raced on the streets. "So what's did you have in mind?" I asked. "You'll see." He smiled and continued speeding. I shrugged and began thinking of what he was planning.
About 10 minutes have passed and we were at Pizza Hut. "Pizza!" I cheered. He nodded and we got out of the car. We walked in the shop, and began looking at the menu. "Hmm wanna get a pepperoni?" Luke asked. I nodded. "With stuffed crust?" I asked hoping he would say yes. "Yeah sounds good." He said. He ordered a stuffed pepperoni pizza with a big chocolate cookie and 2 drinks. So now all we had to do was wait. We took our seats and began talking. "I like this idea!" I smiled. Luke chuckled. "Yeah well it's no fancy restaurant, but the food is still good. Sorry I couldn't take you out on your birthday..." Luke trailed off. "Don't worry about it. I just wanted to spend time with you, and I don't care if we do it at some 5 star restaurant or a small taco stand. I'm just glad I'm here with you." I explained. "Do you really mean that Rose?" Luke asked. I nodded enthusiastically. "Why wouldn't I? I know we haven't been together for the longest, and how this is my first relationship. But I'm always so happy with you." I said. "I love you." Luke blurted out. "I love you too." I replied. "More than pizza?" Luke joked. "Hmmm now that's a tough one." I smiled. Luke pouted. "Haha, of course." I said while pecking his cheek. We continued talking until the guys behind the counter called our names out.
We grabbed the food and we headed out the doors. "So where are we heading to now?" I asked while carrying the cookie and drinks. "Just somewhere that I think is nice." He responded. I nodded and got into the car and we were on the road again.
After another 15 minutes Luke pulled into this parking lot and parked the car. "Ooooh spooky. No one's around." I said while trying to look into the darkness. "Haha yeah. It's nice and private." Luke said. I smiled and nodded. "So what movie do you wanna watch?" Luke asked. "Movie?" I asked in confusion. "Yeah. I don't have a laptop or an iPad, but at least I have my phone. Maybe we can watch a movie here?" He asked. I nodded, "Yeah sounds great!" Luke pulled up Netflix, "So what romance movie do you wanna watch?" He asked. "Umm..." I trailed off. "D-Does it have to be a romance movie?" I asked. "Oh, no it doesn't, I just thought cause maybe you like rom-coms instead of horror." He explained. "Yeah you got that right. Especially since I can't see anything around us. But I was thinking of maybe action?" I asked. "Oh thank god." Luke said while letting out a sigh of relief. "Haha what?" I asked. "I hate rom-coms, action sounds 100 times better." He laughed. "Yeah" I agreed. "So how about a classic?" Luke said. "Iron Man!!" I cheered. "Iron Man? Well ok, sounds good haven't seen that movie in a while." Luke smiled. "Yes!!" I cheered. Luke quickly put the movie in play and we began eating.
The movie was half way and we were full and put the leftovers in the back. I looked at Luke who was concentrating on the movie. I smiled. How did I get so lucky? Luke looked up and caught me staring, and I quickly looked back at the phone. He chuckled. "What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nothing, I was just thinking how did I get so lucky? With a cool guy that's literally the best guy I'll ever meet." I said. "You got that right, I am pretty cool. But honestly, Rose I think you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, and-and..." he trailed off. I tilted my head in confusion. "A-And let's go on a walk?" He asked. "Oh yeah sounds good, but it's pretty dark." I said while looking out. "Yeah... but we have our phone lights, and I'll protect you if anything happens." Luke said. "Fine." I said and slowly got out of the car.
Luke and I walked slowly on a trail that we found. "This is nice, it's really relaxing since there's no other people or cars passing by." Luke said. "Yeah you're right. Perfect time for a killer to get us." I said while flashing my light at every corner. "You're right... someone could just sneak up on you like NOW." Luke yelled and wrapped his arms around me and began tickling me. I began gasping for air due to laughing uncontrollably. I tried my best to shake away from his grip but it was no use. It was non stop tickling, "L...luKe StOP..." I wheezed. "IM GonnA PEE!" I cried. But Luke continued tickling. I needed to make him stop, so I turned around quickly so I was now facing him. I slowly placed my hands on his face and smashed my lips onto his. He immediately stopped and began kissing back, but I wasn't going to be nice, not after the torture he just put me through. I quickly cut the kiss off and began running along the path. "Hey!" Luke yelled out. I heard footsteps behind me and I continued running along the path. I used my flashlight to help me from tripping on any pine cones. I continued to hear Luke's footsteps behind me but I continued running. Until I heard something fall behind me. I looked back while flashing my light and couldn't see anything. I got chills. "Luke?" I called out. No response. "Luke?!" I called out louder and began running back. I looked around but couldn't see him anywhere. "Luke!!" I yelled. I started panicking, where did he go? Did he leave? Did someone take him? Did he fall and get knocked unconscious?" I began running back and forth calling Luke's name over and over. "Luke where are you?" I called out. I began crying. "LuUke" I cried. I continued flashing my light around until my phone had died. What do I do? Maybe he went back to the car?? I immediately started running back to the car to see it still in the parking lot alone, with Luke nowhere in sight. I began sobbing. "Luke this isn't funny!" I screamed. I heard some shuffling behind me and stiffened up. I saw a tall figure pop out of the trees and slowly walk towards me. I began sobbing louder and screamed. I tried to open the car door, but it was locked. The tall figure got closer and I fell to the floor, hugging myself. "Rose." They said. "Lu...Ke?" I choked out in between sobs. "Rose I'm so sorry." Luke said while leaning down to me and began hugging me. "Why did you hide? I was so scared!" I cried onto his shoulders. "I know and I'm so sorry. I wanted to play a little prank. I didn't think you'd start crying." Luke apologized. "You're a big dummy. I hate you!" I continued crying. "I know I know. I'm the biggest idiot in the whole world, but while I was hiding I found something nice, do you mind if I show it to you? To make it up to you after scaring you?" He asked. I looked up and he wiped my tears, I slowly nodded and he helped me off the floor. "O-Ok but n-no more s-scary pranks." I stuttered. Luke nodded and held onto my hand and slowly guided me to where he wanted to show me something.
We walked for about 10 minutes before he said stop, he shined his flashlight towards the floor and showed water. It was a lake! "Wow." I said. The light glistening among the water was so beautiful. "Do you forgive me now?" He asked. I slowly nodded and pecked his cheek. He hugged me tightly. "Rose t-there's something I-I-I... w-want to ask you." He stuttered. "What's wrong Luke?" I asked. "N-Nothing just—" I interrupted him. "Oh wow Luke I didn't even notice there was a full moon today!" I said in astonishment. It was so pretty. It reflected along the lake. "Isn't it beautiful Luke?" I asked. Waiting for a response. "Luke?" I asked while turning around.
