Aquatic Fun

Everything was so relaxed. Link felt himself sink through the water bed. He loved how it seemed to wrap his body, engulfing him into a state of comfort. The Zora water bed had always been one of his favourite beds, along with the Rito ones. Maybe he could ask Zelda for his own water bed when they got back to the castle?

"Wake up, Link!"

He felt himself bounce up as someone jumped onto his bed.

"Wake up!" They said again.

Link opened one eye slightly to see Zelda already dressed. She was wearing a light purple blouse with black leggings.

"No..." he replied, hugging her, "You're so comfy..."

"I bet it'd be comfy when you get a foot up your behind." Zelda scolded, but allowed him to hold onto her.

Link didn't want to wake up. He was wearing clothes, for once, and the bed was comfortable, not to mention the fact that Zelda had joined him, and with her came warmth. There was no way in Hyrule that he was going to get up.

"Link, if you don't get up, I'm leaving you." Zelda stated, a mischievous grin on her face.

As soon as he heard this, Link shot up from his bed and stared at her.

"Tell me you're joking." He muttered.

"Nope, not in the slightest." She lied.

Link scrambled out of bed and ripped off the clothes he was sleeping in. He then proceeded to delve into his bag, trying to find some clothes for the day. Zelda chuckled to herself. Of course she wasn't possibly going to leave him. She could never dream of a life without him, but seeing the General in a frantic state was amusing.

"There, I'm ready!" He announced, "Please don't leave me..."

Today he was wearing a red tunic with green patterns. Link had taken a fancy to spicing up his wardrobe, so he intended to change his clothes as often as he could.

"I could never leave you." Zelda smiled, kissing him on his lips.

She laughed when she noticed his cheeks flush.

"Come on, we've got a lot planned for today." She said, pulling him out of the room.

"Ah, so what have you two been getting up to last night?" Sidon asked with a smirk as they met him in the main area of the domain.

"Sleeping." Link said bluntly, "and anyway, why is it any of your business?"

Sidon shrugged.

"Your cheeks were red, that's all." He said.

Link slapped his cold hands on his cheeks and glared at the Zora.

"Looks like you're always getting up to a lot, then, Sidon." He exclaimed, "Your cheeks are always red!"

He high-fived Zelda and stared at Sidon triumphantly.

"Serve up some roasted fish for breakfast, why don't you?" Zelda laughed.

"Ugh, fish..." Link muttered, "I can't deal with that in the morning."

"Speaking of which, you're welcome to have some breakfast." Sidon said humbly, "Then maybe perhaps go see my father?"

The Hylians agreed and proceeded to have their breakfast, consisting of some omelette on toast. Link and Zelda chatted and laughed over their meal, finalising their plans for the day, and thinking of what to say to the King.

"Let's make it quick." Link whispered once they were done with their breakfast and standing below the royal chamber.

"We'll just say a quick hello." Zelda whispered back, ruffling his hair affectionately.

They spoke to the Zora King, and they spent about fifteen minutes discussing the Kingdom's welfare and politics. After what seemed forever, Link and Zelda hurried away from the royal chamber.

"We haven't a moment to lose!" Zelda exclaimed once they had left the King.

"We have all day." Link chuckled.

"But I want as much time as possible." She stated.

"Ok, ok." He laughed, "let me go grab the Zora armour."

"Hurry!"

"Oh, you might want to change into something you wouldn't mind getting soaked." He added.

"This will be fine." Zelda said impatiently.

"Ok, meet me on the Eastern bridge." Link said hastily before sprinting off to find the armour.

He skidded into his room and pulled out the Zora armour, before yanking off his tunic and putting the armour on.

"Still fits." he muttered.

It was by design that the Zora armour clung to the wearer's skin so that they would be met with no water resistance.

Link sprinted to the bridge east of the domain, hoping that Zelda wouldn't be mad at him for taking too long, even though he didn't.

"You're so slow!" She shouted when he came into view.

"Women," Link said breathlessly, "Are so hard to please..."

"Come on!" She cried.

Zelda grabbed hold of his hand and ran across the bridge, making a bee-line to the first waterfall.

"Its so pretty!" She sighed, watching the cascade of water splash into the small pond.

"Alright." Link said, "Technically only I can swim up waterfalls, but if you hold onto my hand, I could pull you along."

"Ok..."

"Just don't let go, ok?"

He waded into the pond and waited at the base of the waterfall.

"Are you sure about this?" Zelda asked with uncertainty.

"Yes..."

She joined him in the pond, staring up at the waterfall.

"Whatever you do, don't let go of my hand." He warned.

"Fine, whatever." Zelda said airily.

"No I'm serious." He snapped, "You could get hurt, and I don't want that."

She gripped his hand and held it up.

"See?" She said, "I'm ready."

Link took a deep breath and tightened his grip on her hand before kicking himself up the waterfall.

"Oh Hylia!" Zelda screamed.

"Don't let go!" He shouted.

Link used his free arm to guide himself up the waterfall, then finally, leaped into the air.  Since there were two of them, the landing was not the smoothest. Link landed with a painful thud on the ground whilst Zelda fell right on top of him.

"That was so much fun!" She exclaimed, oblivious to him wincing in pain, "We must do it again!"

"Must we..."

"Fine, I'll do it myself." She said hotly, "Give me your armour."

"What, no I can't just let you-"

"Please!" She begged.

"No, its too dangerous!" He protested.

"I said give me your armour!"

She tried to tug it off him, but Link batted her away.

"Hey, stop that!" He exclaimed.

"Oh, Link!" She whined, "We only live once."

He felt a slight grin spread on his face when she said that.

"Fine, but don't blame me when you come plummeting down." He said, allowing her to take the armour off him.

"I won't." She replied cheerfully, taking her own blouse off and throwing it at Link, "How do I look?"

He had to admit that the armour suited her, even though it was a tad too big. After all, it was made specifically for him.

"You look alright." He shrugged.

Link put the Queen's blouse on a rock and swam tot he base of the waterfall.

"All you have to do it push yourself up the waterfall." He explained, "Use your arms to guide you. Don't kick. And don't forget to breathe. Just swim like an eel up the waterfall and breathe like you normally would whilst swimming. Its when you get to the top which worries me."

"Why?"

"Well, you kindda shoot into the air, and its quite high up, too." He said, "You've got to know how to stick the landing."

"I'm sure I've got this." Zelda smiled.

"How about I wait at the top?" He asked, getting out of the pond, the water dripping off of his bare chest.

He picked up Zelda's blouse and made his way up the steep path, then finally waved to her from the top.

"Alright, you can go!" He called out.

Zelda took a deep breath. She thought of what Link had taught her. Cautiously, she positioned her foot on the side of a nearby rock, readying herself. Once she had thought everything through, she pushed off of the rock and accelerated up the waterfall, using her arms to guide her. Zelda couldn't think. There was so much going through her mind. All she could do was focus on what she was doing. Finally, she neared the top and rocketed into the air, screaming with delight.

"Hang on, I've got you!" Link cried.

He held out his arms to catch her, but Zelda landed right next to him, perfectly sticking her landing.

"Why the looks of surprise?" She asked casually in response to his shocked expression.

"I must say." Link said sheepishly, "You're quite the natural."

Zelda smirked and took off the Zora armour, trading it with Link for her blouse.

"Its all wet!" She cried as she put it back on.

"What did you expect?" He laughed, "I did warn you."

"Now lets go rafting!"

"You just don't give a break, do you?"

"Please. We haven't got all day." Zelda pleaded.

"Alright, let me find a raft." Link sighed.

They trekked down the mountain, and neared one of the many Zora rivers.

"How convenient." Link remarked, "There's one already here."

He untied the raft and ushered Zelda on to it.

"I have no idea which river this is." He warned, "So be prepared."

"You're making it sound like we're about to go into a war." She chuckled, "Just loosen up and have some fun."

She sat down as Link manned the raft and guided through the river, following the flow.

"Its so calming." Zelda noted after while, "Oh Link. Please do relax."

"What if we go plummeting through dangerous water?" He challenged.

"So what?" Zelda said airily, "Let us. That's life, isn't it?"

Link smiled and sat down opposite her.

"Ok." He said, "Let the river guide us."

Zelda shuffled closer and rested her head on his shoulder, interlocking her fingers with his. They let the river transport them, unaware of where they would end up. But as long as they were together, they couldn't care less.

"Look, I see the end of the river." Link pointed out after their trip.

"Oh, this was so romantic." Zelda sighed.

"Really?" Link asked, "Well, could you close your eyes for me?"

She smiled as her eyelids veiled her green eyes. She could feel Link getting closer, and could feel his breath against her face.

"How's this for romantic?" She heard him laugh before tumbling into the river.

"Why, you-"

"Oh, come on, Zelds." He gawked, "You actually fell for that?!"

She rolled her eyes and pulled him into the river with her.

"You're an idiot." She said.

"I know."

They swam to the river bank and dragged themselves out of the water. Within moments, Link had made a fire and was drying off his Zora armour, along with Zelda's blouse, leaving her in just her under layer and leggings

"Today was fun, wasn't it?" Link smiled, the fire light highlighting his biceps.

"I see why you stalled so much when you woke up from your century long slumber." She replied.

"I didn't stall!" He cried.

Zelda smirked and glanced down at the fire.

"Want to dry off any more of your clothes?" Link asked after a while, a mischievous grin painted on his face

"Only if you do." Zelda said with an equally mischievous grin.

Oi! Get your minds out of the gutter! (despicable you are if you thought of anything other than drying clothes... XD)
