There was loud banging on the door that startled both me and John. We turned to look at each other and I furrowed my brows.
"We have now given you four and a half hours alone with her, if you haven't boned yet then that's on you. Open up Deacon!" Roger's high pitched voice shouted from the other side of the door. I let out a small laugh and John put down his bass.
"Should we let them in?" He asked.
"I think he's going to break down the door if we don't." I giggled and got up from the bed. John and I both made our way towards the door of the hotel room and the banging got louder. I rushed my steps and opened the door, starting to get genuinely scared that Roger was coming through the door.
Freddie and Roger were standing in the hallway with wide smiles on their faces. Freddie had a cigarette in his hand as he leaned against the door frame. Roger was standing so close to the door that he scared me when I opened it. His eyes were sparkling brightly and immediately as the door flew open, he threw himself at me and wrapped his arms tightly around me.
"You little blonde bastard, you only told Brian that you'd be coming earlier!" He exclaimed and squeezed me tightly. We both laughed and I hugged him back.
"Yeah, sorry about that boys. I wanted to surprise you."
"Well that you sure did darling." Freddie laughed. "Now get off Roger, it's my turn." He said and basically pulled Roger away from me and hugged me in turn.
I had worried that perhaps the boys wouldn't be as comfortable around me after I broke up with John for six months and then got back together. Thankfully that wasn't the case at all. They were still the exact same they had always been, so full of love towards me and so welcoming. I had missed them all so much.
Freddie pulled away and put his hands on my shoulders. "Welcome to America! You haven't been before right?"
"Thank you! And no, I haven't. It's very exciting. I can't wait to go explore and look around later." I said and gave John a smile. He wrapped his arm around my waist and smiled at Roger and Freddie.
"What's the time?" He asked them.
"We'll have to leave in an hour." Roger said. John nodded his head and gave me a cheeky smirk. I know exactly what that smirk means.
"Well then." John said and bit his bottom lip. "If you boys would give us a minute before we have to leave, that would be rad." John said and began slowly closing the door. Roger and Freddie both put their feet in the way.
"Absolutely not, you can't hog her!" Roger exclaimed. "What were you doing in there anyway?" he asked.
"We were jamming. But what were going to do now?" John said and turned his gaze to me, seeing if I wanted to finish off the sentence.
"Well." I started and turned to face John a little better. "First this man right here is going to pick me up, and then he's going to carry me to that bed over there." I said and pointed at the bed behind us in the room. "And then we're going to relieve some built up frustrations from having been on different sides of the world for so long."
"We're going to have sex." John stated and nodded his head.
"Lots of it." I added.
Both Roger and Freddie burst into laughter and playfully shook their heads. "Right. Well off you go then." Freddie said and took his foot away from the doorway.
"And use a rubber guys. We don't need another pregnancy scare now do we?" Roger said and threw a condom at us.
"Yeah yeah, fuck off. Bye bye then." John said and pulled the door shut. He turned around and I slammed my lips onto his, cupping his face with my palms. He picked me up from the floor, just like I had told him to. He spun us around and pinned me against the wall. I let out a moan as his kisses trailed away from my lips and up and down my neck. I brushed my fingers through his hair and tugged on it slightly. He moaned a deep moan and spun us around again. He made his way over to the bed, his lips never breaking away from my neck.
He laid me down onto the bed and crawled up on top of me. His hands were roaming all over my body.
"I missed you." He whispered.
"I missed you too."
I laid on top of him with my eyes closed as John drew small circles onto my back with his fingers. We were both still breathing heavily, but neither of us was complaining.
"I love you." John said softly.
"I love you too." I answered and looked up into his eyes.
He smiled warmly and put his hand onto my cheek. He carefully studied my face, as if he was trying to memorise every single detail. I let out a small chuckle.
"Like what you see, Deacon?" I asked him.
"You bet." He laughed and planted a small kiss onto my nose. He glanced at the clock on his nightstand and groaned. "But we have to get dressed, we have to leave in fifteen minutes."
I groaned as well. "Can't we just turn up a little late?" I asked him. A small crooked smile rose onto his lips.
"We are already late. We were supposed to leave ten minutes ago." He said.
My eyes widened. "John you know I can't stand being late!" I exclaimed in despair. "Lift your buttocks then, we must hurry!" I shouted and jumped off the bed. He laughed and lazily began putting on his underwear and jeans.
"Calm down sweetheart, it's just sound check. We still have hours before the show." He said calmly as I ran around the room in a rush induced panic, trying to gather my things.
"But I can't stand being late. Put on this shirt." I said and threw a navy blue polo at him.
"Why?" He asked and furrowed his brows, looking suspiciously at the shirt."
"Because it looks good on you." I said and smiled. He looked at the shirt again, now smiling widely.
"It does?"
"Definitely." I said and pecked his cheek. He threw the shirt on began putting on his shoes. I was still trying to pick my outfit, but ended up going with a black long sleeved turtleneck jumpsuit with straight pant legs. I threw my hair up on a ponytail to keep it away from my face. Glancing into the mirror, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my make up hadn't turned into a irreparable mess, all I had to do was wipe my under-eyes a little bit.
"So it is true then." John said thoughtfully.
I turned around and furrowed my brows. "What is?"
"You can get ready quickly." He joked and I slapped his arm.
"Shut up." I mumbled and tried to hold in a laugh.
We managed to sneak out of the hotel almost completely unnoticed. I hid behind the lifted up collars of my trench coat and sunglasses, John wore a cap. He had his arm tightly around me as we made our way to the car. James smiled brightly as he greeted us and opened the door.
"Hi guys! You took your time." He said and gave us a cheeky wink. I turned to look at John as we climbed onto the backseat.
"Yes, we were a little preoccupied, if you know what I mean." I laughed and John's cheeks turned bright red.
"Oh I know alright, Roger wouldn't shut up about it. He was well pissed that you were and I quote 'hogging' her John." He chuckled.
"It seems that Roger is finding it quite difficult to grasp on to the basic consept of dating. If there is someone in the band that gets to hog her, it's me." John joked and I looked at him, suggestively raising my brows. "But that doesn't mean that she is my property. And I only get to hog her if she wants to be hogged." He quickly added.
"Much better." I giggled and he put his hand on my thigh. The car ride to the venue was short and filled with some great banter from John and James. I could feel my heart fluttering every time John laughed. I loved the way the skin next to his wrinkled how he and put his hand ever so slightly over his mouth, how he would keep silently giggling, even after the others had already calmed down.
"I love you." I whispered to him just as we were about to get ouy of the car. He already had his hand on the handle, but turned around to face me with a smile on his face.
"I love you too. Come on dear, let's go." He said and took my hand. There were some fans outside, but thankfully we were able to park in front of the backdoor, where no fans had access. John stepped out of the car first and the fans started screaming. He gave them a little wave and waited for me to come out. I took a deep breath and pushed my sunglasses higher on my face. You'll be fine, you can't know that the American fans hate you.
I stepped out of the car and for a moment the crowd fell a silent, before screaming even louder. I turned to look a John in confusion and he let out a laugh.
"They like you. Give them a wave." He said and I nodded, still utterly confused. I forced on a brave smile and waved at the crowd of young women. The screamed even louder and waved back at me.
I felt over come with joy. The British fans were alright, but I suppose they didn't like seeing the members of the band with other women, because most of the times when I heard someone talking about me, I was being called a slut. But the American girls... they seemed to be genuinely excited to see me.
"Do you want to go say hi?" John asked. James had come out of the car as well and was standing next to us.
"I mean... can we? Is it safe?" I asked and looked at John, who looked at James
"It is if I come along." James said with a smile. John put his hand onto the small of my back as we walked closer to the crowd. They were all cheering loudly and some looked like they were about to climb over the fence that was separating them from us.
"Hi guys!" I said and they all screamed so loud that it almost made me go deaf.
"HI LORETTA!" They screamed and waved.
"You excited about the show?" John asked and they all nodded and screamed 'yes'
"You're so beautiful Loretta." A girl with a beautiful afro shouted and blew me a kiss. I instinctively put my hand over my heart and almost started crying. I was so not used to this kind of attention from John's fans.
"Thank you so much love. What's your name?" I asked. Everyone was completely silent and listened to our conversation.
"Talisa" She said and gave me a warm smile.
"Wow, that must be the prettiest name I've ever heard. I hope you have a wonderful time at the show tonight." I said.
"We'll make sure to but on our A game." John added. I soon felt James' hand on my shoulder.
"Let's go." He said to us and John nodded. We said our good byes before disappearing into the building.
"Thank you, for finally showing up Deacy." Roger groaned and rolled his eyes.
I felt terrible for having held John back first at the hotel and then again on the parking lot, but I was simply too mesmerised by the American fans. They were incredible. Of course I knew that there would be plenty of people out there that hated my guts, but right now all I could think about was the beautiful dark goddess, baring the name Talisa. Her comment had had a huge impact on me. I wish her all the best in life.
After about an hour and a half, they were finally finished arguing about all the little things and were able to come backstage where Dominique and I were already waiting.
"Took you long enough." I joked as John sat down next to me.
"Well maybe if Brian wasn't so damn picky about everything, we might have actually gotten something done instead of just bitching about everything to each other."
"You know that I can hear you right?" Brian snapped from the other side of the room.
"Ladies, ladies, please calm down. I can't do this right now." Freddie said and poured himself a glass of champagne. He too seemed slightly irritated, but I couldn't tell if it was because of John or Brian.
"Freddie's right. Let's just have fun tonight okay? It's Loretta's first night on the road with us." Roger said as he walked past me and ruffled my hair.
All four men started smiling widely and nodded along with Roger's comment.
"You're right. To Loretta!" Freddie said, proposing a toast.
