I wake up with Jungkook's arm wrapped around my waist and I carefully move out from under him and go to the bathroom to take a shower.
When I come out, Jungkook is no longer in my bed but I can smell coffee brewing so I get dressed and go out to the kitchen. "Morning."
"Hey, made coffee." He hands me a mug and I take it with a nod of thanks.
"Sorry for last night." I sit at the small kitchen table I have.
Jungkook shakes his head "It's fine Ji." He sits across from me and we sip at our coffees.
"Have any plans for today?"
"Getting you out of here."
"What do you mean?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"I want you to come stay with me for a little bit. Just until we think those guys forgot about the 'stray cat' in the alley."
"What about your roommates? You live with 6 other guys, are they okay with me staying there?"
Jungkook nods "I talked to them last night when I called Taehyung. They're all fine with it and agree that you probably shouldn't be alone. Jimin is supposed to be cleaning out the spare room today, after we go get some breakfast, we'll come back and I'll help you pack whatever you think you'll need for a few weeks."
"Kook-" I sigh and start to argue.
He shakes his head, cutting me off "Don't even. It's fine. I just want you to be safe."
"You know I still have to go to work right?"
He nods "Yes, but I'm sure you can call out for at least tonight. But if you don't feel safe, I'm sure we can come up with some excuse for your boss for a leave of absence."
I sigh "You just have a solution for everything, don't you?"
He nods with a cheeky smile "That's my job as your bestfriend."
"Go get dressed so that we can go get breakfast."
"My clothes still in the same place?"
"Top left drawer."
"Okay." Jungkook disappears down the hall into my room and comes out a few minutes later, dressed. "Let's go."
I grab my phone and wallet and Jungkook grabs his keys and we slip our shoes on at the door.
We climb in Jungkook's car and he drives to a little cafe that we always meet at for lunches or breakfasts.
The waitress flirts with Jungkook and I try really hard not to laugh. One because Jungkook is Bisexual but he leans more towards men. And two this girl was so not his type. Jungkook likes shy girls that can be hyper at times and that enjoy video games and anime and horror movies; girls who keep a simple but smart look. And this girl was the exact opposite of that.
Eventually I decide to save Jungkook and when the waitress comes over with the bill and writes her number on the back I fake sigh and the waitress looks at me.
"Is there a problem with the bill?" She fakes politeness and gives me a fake smile.
"No, the bill is fine. But I would appreciate it if you would stop blatantly flirting with my boyfriend. He clearly wasn't interested and is clearly with someone." I also give her a fake smile
I can see Jungkook out of the corner of my eye, trying not to laugh and the waitress just nods stiffly and walks away. Jungkook pays the bill, much to my disagreement and we leave.
As soon as we are in his car we both bust out laughing. "Oh my god, the look on her face!"
"I always love the look on their faces when we play that card."
"I figured it was time I put you out of your misery and pay you back for last week when you saved me from that guy in the club."
"That guy was a creep! I had to save you!"
"And that girl was so not your type, people see these muscles paired with that baby face and just swoon bro. It's sad!"
"You love this baby face."
"Sure, but not the way other people do Bun."
"Alright, let's get you home and we can start packing."
Jungkook drives back to my apartment and helps me get my suitcase and duffle bag from the top of my closet.
"Do you need me to help with anything?"
"Ummmm, what will I need?"
"Just the things you normally need for a few weeks. Clothes, make-up, other bathroom things, any like little decorations you want so that you feel a little more at home. Laptop, stuff like that."
"Well since you've bought pads and tampons for me before, I guess you could pack all the bathroom stuff. Toothbrush and toothpaste, um my vitamins, and allergy meds, my normal stuff you've seen me use on a regular basis."
"Okay, the bag for all of that is in there?"
I nod "Under the sink."
Jungkook leaves my room and goes into the bathroom and I start pulling clothes from my dresser and closet, rolling them up so that they fit better in my suitcase. Once my suitcase is full with my normal clothes and the few different pairs of shoes I own, I put all my sleep clothes in my duffle bag. Along with my make-up, a few picture frames that have my favorite pictures, my laptop and laptop charger.
Jungkook comes in and drop my toiletry bag in my duffle bag. "Got everything yet?"
"Just a few more things, you can take the suitcase out to the living room. I'll be out in a minute."
"Okay, Jimin texted me and said the room is all cleaned out and ready for you and that the guys are really excited to actually meet you."
"Remind me to thank them when we get there."
"I will."
Jungkook pulls my suitcase off my bed and rolls it out into the living room. I pack a few more things and then check the bathroom to make sure Jungkook actually grabbed everything.
"Come on little one, let's go."
"I'm coming! Damn!" I quickly shove my cat plushie that's holding a donut, that I appropriately named Donut, in my duffle bag before zipping it up and throwing it over my shoulder. "Okay, we can go now."
"Keys and phone."
"Phone is in my pocket, keys are by the door."
"Alright let's go."
We slip our shoes back on and Jungkook rolls my suitcase out into the hallway. I lock my front door and put my keys in the side pocket of my duffle bag.
Once downstairs Jungkook puts my suitcase and duffle bag in the trunk and I climb in the passenger's side, suddenly nervous.
Jungkook gets in and immediately notices my bouncing leg. "Ji, you can stop that. They are going to love you and you are going to love them and it's only for a few weeks. They honestly wouldn't be offended if you stayed in the room most of the time, if that's what you are comfortable with."
"Kook you know how I am."
Jungkook starts the car and pulls away from the curb. "Yes I do know, but as always, I'm telling you that you have nothing to worry about. The most judgemental person is Yoongi and he's a big softie once you get to know him. He just doesn't like people. Much like you don't."
"Fine." I will my leg to stop bouncing and I text Gray to tell him that I still feel sick and I won't be coming in tonight.
I don't necessarily like lying to him or anyone, but sometimes it's necessary. Can't exactly tell him the real reason.
About 20 minutes later Jungkook pulls up to a gate that automatically opens and then he pulls into a big ass driveway. "Kook I know all of you are like rich and shit but god damn!"
Jungkook chuckles "This is what happens when seven not poor people live together."
"Remind me why I pay for anything when we hang out?"
"Because you hate it when I pay for things. Cause that's just how you are."
I sigh "You're right."
"I know I am. Come on."
Jungkook pops the trunk and pulls my suitcase and duffle bag out. I take my duffle bag and we walk through the front door.
"Holy fuck. How much money do yall actually make and where the fuck does it come from?" I stare in awe at the living room that 3 times the size of my entire apartment.
Jungkook chuckles "Pick your jaw up off the floor. And you know where mine comes from. But Namjoon helps run his family's business; Taehyung and Jimin own a club; Yoongi... actually I don't know what Yoongi does cause he is literally home all the time. Hoseok owns a dance studio and also works for Namjoon. And Jin owns a restaurant, well several actually."
"And you all live together why?"
Jungkook shrugs "Convience."
"Okay then."
"Kookie!!"
A tall, lean man darts around the corner and tackles Jungkook. "Tae I was literally gone for not even a full day."
"I missed my gaming buddy, asshole."
"Sorry, that was my fault." I speak shyly from beside Jungkook.
Tae looks over at me "Oh, Hi! You must be Jihyo!"
I nod "Yes I am."
Taehyung pulls me into a hug and then pulls back "Oh my god you are so adorable!"
"Thank you."
"Tae that's enough, you are probably scaring the poor girl." Someone speaks from behind Taehyung.
Taehyung let's me go and steps back "Sorry."
I shake my head "It's okay."
I look to the person that spoke and he's a little on the shorter side, pale and looks like he would rather be anywhere else. "Let me guess, you are Yoongi."
"Yes I am. Nice to meet you Jihyo."
"Likewise."
Soon the rest of Jungkook's house mates are standing around. "Somewhat short but a baby face and happy looking; you must be Jimin."
He nods "Yup."
I look to the next person "Tall, wide shoulders and very handsome, you are Seokjin but everyone calls you Jin."
Jin nods "Yes I am very handsome."
I giggle and turn to the next person "Sunshine smile, glowing face, and a dancer's physique, you must be Hoseok."
He nods "You're good at this."
"Thank you." I turn to the last person "And then we have the tall, mostly quiet, intimidating, but good looking none the less. You are Namjoon."
Namjoon nods "Yup, that's me."
"Thank you guys for letting me stay here. If there was anyway I could have won that arguement with Kook I would still be at home in my own bed, but he didn't give me much of a choice. I will try to keep to myself and out of your guys' way."
"Ji-"
"Kook do not start with me." I turn and glare at Jungkook.
He puts his hands up in mock surrender "Okay, damn."
"It's really no big deal Jihyo, you can make yourself at home. You don't have to stay in the room, you definitely aren't a prisoner here." Jin comments
"Thank you Jin."
"Alright, let me show you where your room is and then I can show you around the house if you want me to." Jungkook slings his arm around my shoulders.
"Um, sure I guess."
"Come on." Jungkook leads me away from the rest of the guys and upstairs. We go to the last room on the right side of the hall and Jungkook opens the door.
"I know it isn't much-" Jungkook starts
"Shut up, this is the size of my living room and kitchen combined. This is more than enough." I set my duffle bag on the bed and look around.
"I will leave you to unpack, there is a connecting bathroom to this room but you share it with Namjoon whose room is the one before this one."
"Okay."
"I'll be back in like 30 to come get you and give you a tour. Wifi password is on the desk."
"Thank you Kook."
"Of course little one."
Jungkook leaves the room, closing the door behind him. I sigh and lift my suitcase onto the bed and unzip it. Before I unpack anything I open all the drawers of the dresser that's across from the bed, then I start to put things in drawers. All my shirts go in one, pants go in another, work clothes in one, underwear and bras in another and left over clothes in the second to last one. Once my suitcase is unpacked I carefully pull out my picture frames, laptop, chargers, my toiletry bag, and makeup and set them to the side. Then I pull out all my sleep clothes and put them in the last drawer.
Once all of my clothes are unpacked, I set my shoes on an empty shelf and move my picture frames and laptop to the desk. I knock on the bathroom door and don't hear anything so I carefully open the door and once I can tell that it's empty, I grab my toiletry bag and make up and just set them on the far empty side of the counter so they aren't in Namjoon's way. I leave the bathroom and close the door.
After getting back in the room, I shove my duffle bag into my suitcase and then just stick that in a corner. Then I put in the wifi password in on my phone and laptop and just as I'm closing my laptop there's a knock on the door and Jungkook pokes his head in. "All unpacked?"
I nod "Hope Namjoon won't mind that I set my stuff on the counter. I didn't like open any cabinets or drawers or anything, literally just set my stuff on the empty corner."
Jungkook shakes his head "He won't and if he does, he can suck it up. You don't take up alot of space. Come on, let me show you around."
Jungkook tells me whose room is whose, shows me all the main areas of the house, including a huge ass movie room. The last place we hit is the kitchen and Jin is standing at the stove, making something that smells amazing.
"Jin, that smells amazing."
"Have to feed the guest good food. I wasn't sure what you would like so I went with a simple pasta with sliced steak on top." Jin turns to smile at me quickly before turning back to the stove.
"I will eat just about anything Jin, and if it's a home cooked meal, I will definitely enjoy it, I don't get much of those."
"How often do you go home to see your parents?"
I see Jungkook tense out of the corner of my eye, but I just kind of shrug "I don't, they died almost five years ago."
Jin tenses up "Oh my- I am so sorry, I didn't mean-" he turns to me and looks apologetic.
I shake my head "It's okay, I think Jungkook is the only one who ever knew. And I've come to terms with it, I mean still hurts sometimes but it's okay."
Jin nods and turns back to the stove, turning it off before grabbing a plate "How much do you usually eat?"
"A normal amount, I mean a little less than the average person, but not like a tiny amount if you know what I mean."
Jin nods and I watch as he plates some pasta and then carefully lays slices of steak ontop. He grabs a fork and a spoon and walks over to the island and sets the bowl and silverware down. "Come sit and tell me what you think."
I slide into a chair at the island and tug the plate towards me. I pick up the fork and take a bite of the steak, savoring the flavors and then I go in for the pasta. The aftertaste of the steak with the flavors of the pasta mix so perfectly. "Jin this is absolutely amazing, thank you. You really didn't have to cook for me."
"After hearing you don't get home cooked meals, I'm cooking for you every chance I can get, and when you do go home, I'm sending you home with food."
"You don't have to-"
"But I will, go ahead and finish eating, and just leave the dishes in the sink, it's Jimin's turn to do the dishes tonight." Before I can respond Jin is leaving the kitchen.
Jungkook slides a glass of milk over to me and then sits down next to me "I know you like milk with dinner in general."
"Thank you Kook. Like seriously thank you. For everything, you always do so much for me."
Jungkook hums and ruffles my hair gently "I do it because I want to and I like being there for you, in every way I can. You mind if I have some pasta?"
I shrug "Go ahead, it looks like Jin made enough."
"Did you call out for tonight?"
I hum and nod, speaking after I finish chewing what's in my mouth "Yes I did. And Gray told me to just take the rest of the week, that he has more people working than he needs right now."
"So you'll have some time to settle in and get used to it here."
I hum and nod again "Yup."
I finish eating and go back to the room, Jungkook trailing behind me. "Kook do you need to follow me around?"
"I don't want you to feel weird and awkward."
"Well can you go make sure Namjoon isn't in the bathroom? I need to pee and brush my teeth."
He nods and just opens the bathroom door, peering in "All good, you can pee."
"Thank you." I go in the bathroom and close the door, quickly doing my business and coming back out. "Kook can you turn around, I need to change."
"Yes cause I haven't seen that before."
"Just shut up and turn around."
Jungkook rolls his eyes but turns around and I quickly grab sweatpants and a T-shirt and change into them.
"Can I turn around yet?"
"Yes."
Jungkook turns around and then points at the bed for me to sit on, so I do. Once I'm seated on the edge, Jungkook moves infront of me and let's me hug him. He starts running a hand through my hair as we just stay like that for a few minutes. "Everything is going to be okay."
I hum into his stomach "I know it is, everything usually is when I have you by my side."
He leans down and kisses the top of my head "Get some sleep, I don't feel like you got nearly enough last night."
I nod and pull away "I will try."
"Alright, good night, I will see you in the morning."
"Night Kook."
Jungkook leaves the room, turning the light off and closing the door and I sigh and climb under the covers, settling down and rolling on my side, slowly falling asleep.
3rd Person POV
Sometime in the middle of the night, Namjoon is woken up by a fairly loud scream coming from the room next to his and he jumps up, grabbing the handgun from under his bedside table and makes his way through the bathroom and into the room Jihyo is staying in.
At the same time he comes through the bathroom door, Jungkook bursts through the other door and they both look to Jihyo who is sitting up on the bed in the midst of a panic attack. Jungkook flicks his eyes to the pistol Namjoon is holding and Namjoon quickly tucks it into the back of his sweats, not wanting to scare Jihyo.
Jungkook carefully climbs on the bed and touches Jihyo's arm. "Hey, it's okay."
Feeling safe at the sight of Jungkook, Jihyo climbs in his lap, but is still hyperventilating. Jungkook calmly grabs her hands and places them on the sides of his face "Look, I'm real, I'm right here, you're safe little one. Calm down."
Jungkook hates seeing Jihyo like this, but he's used to it. Once her breathing calms Jungkook rubs her back, slowly and soothingly; effectively calming her down completely and actually putting her back to sleep. Namjoon just watches, confused and slightly worried.
"Is she okay?"
Jungkook nods "Yeah, she's okay. She just gets nightmares when she's in a high-stress or anxiety situation or she doesn't feel completely safe. Normally it's not so bad that she screams, but after hearing what she did the other night, ontop of working where she does and trying to find a job in the career path she has a degree in, I can understand." He continues to rub her back.
Namjoon nods "That won't be happening everynight right?"
Jungkook shakes his head "Shouldn't, I'll probably have to sleep in here with her the first few nights so that she feels safe."
"What was with you putting her hands on your face and saying you were real?"
"When she has nightmares, they cause panic attacks, her waking up from whatever hell she was in and going right into a panic attack, it fucks with her brain temporarily. The easiest way to calm her down is to get her to feel something real. Usually a person, when she gets skin on skin contact, her body can relax because it realizes that she isn't alone and isn't in danger."
Namjoon nods "Well alright, I trust you have that handled?"
Jungkook nods "You can go back to bed."
Namjoon turns and goes back through the bathroom to his room, tucking his pistol back in place and climbing back in bed.
He really hopes that doesn't happen again. One because he needs sleep and two he does feel some pity for Jihyo. It's not her fault she heard that, and it's not her fault that she gets nightmares. As much as Namjoon acts like he dislikes her, he really doesn't. He only acts like that so Jungkook actually focuses on what he needs to.
Jungkook sighs and kisses Jihyo's forehead "I'm sorry little one, I should have known that was going to happen." Jungkook carefully moves Jihyo out of his lap and lays down, pulling her back into his chest and slowly falls asleep.
