TAEHYUNG wasn't surprised that he got bored so quickly, it happened a lot and he never knew how to fix it. it must have come with the lifestyle, living in a hotel with no job and no hobbies. there wasn't much to do besides watch tv and order room service.
that's why he figured hanging out in jungkooks apartment wouldn't be so bad, a new scene to sit in that wasn't his usual cream colored walls and white bedsheets.
oh he was so wrong. it only took thirty minutes and then an hour nap to pass by and taehyung was sitting up in the youngers bed without a clue what to do next. "this blows." he said to no one in particular.
it was like a sign, and his phone rang just then to cure his boredom. jimin was calling and the boy couldn't answer quick enough. "hey what's up." taehyung said, getting out of the bed and walking out to the kitchen to find something leftover in the fridge.
"nothing really, i ordered too many wings and i need help." jimin said, sitting where he normally did on his rolling chair in the lab.
taehyung didn't need to be told anymore, shoving on his shoes again and making sure he had his coat and scarf. "i'll be there soon." he said. he was happy he got the call, because after the nap he was hungry and already considering getting food, a meal with a friend was a bonus.
the warehouse wasn't too far, but cold weather made it seem longer as he walked along the sidewalk with his hands tucked deeply into the pockets of his coat.
jimin must have seen him in the alley through the cameras, because he didn't need to knock or put in the code as the door was already opened for him. taehyung could smell the wings already and he knew they were going to be spicy, his tastebuds are going to hate him.
"taehyungie!" the blonde cheered, spinning around in his chair and smiling as he greeted his friends arrival.
the boy just smiled and took his coat off, along with the scarf and left them both on the back of the couch. "how much did you buy?" he asked, walking into the lab completely now and seeing the large amount of containers on the metal table. now he knows what the small boy has been doing with his cut of the money.
"i've got lots of mouths to feed." jimin said, waving the boy over to sit across from him. there was already a second chair out, with a coat behind it as well. taehyung wondered who that belonged to, he thought it was just the two of them.
and to answer his question, another voice echoed in the room as the third male came walking out from further in the lab. "does jungkook know you keep beers in a cooler under your computer systems?" namjoon asked, carrying two six packs beside him as he sat down in the chair that taehyung was just questioning.
now he was no longer confused about who the chair belonged, but how could this guy be in two places at once. taehyung checked his watch, seeing the time. 8:13 pm.
the debate going on in his head was insane, wondering whether or not he should question his hyung and ask about this apparent meeting he was suppose to be at with jungkook.
namjoon must have noticed though, because he paused mid bite and stared at the boy, "yes taehyung?" he asked.
"oh, uh um." taehyung picked up a napkin and tossed it over to the other male, "you got hot sauce on your lip."
"thanks." namjoon smiled and was about to wipe it away when jimin came diving over onto his lap with a cheeky grin, "let me get that for you buddy." the blonde said before licking namjoons lip to get the hot sauce.
"damn i love wing night." namjoon grinned.
taehyung just ate quietly, occasionally giggling quietly at what one of the other boys had said. he couldn't stop thinking about him though, the boy that was always on his mind but not for the best reasons this time. it was a heavy feeling in the pit of his stomach, one that wouldn't go away as he tried to distract himself with hot wings, cheese fries, and beers.
it's kind of funny, the way they both felt the same way. maybe taehyung would feel better knowing that his boyfriend had the same heavy feeling in the pit of his stomach as he climbed out of his car and locked it behind him.
jungkook didn't bring his coat, and the goosebumps ran up his arms a second after the wind hit his skin. the other man wasn't anywhere in sight yet, considering he parked a little bit of a way down the street.
so he started to walk, and the only sound on this side of the city was the heels of his boots occasionally scraping against the sidewalk.
he felt a hand on his shoulder, and a voice paired with it soon after. "buddy, right on time." junseo said with a crooked grin.
"i said 8 didn't i?" jungkook replied with, shrugging the guys hand off his shoulder. "now give me what i asked for."
"did you bring i asked for?" junseo was rubbing his hands together, maybe because of the cold but also maybe because of the withdrawal. he didn't get an answer though, unless a stone cold expression and glare counted as one.
"alright alright." he held his hands up in defense and nodded his head down an alley, which jungkook followed him down, "they're located down on sixth street now, passed that old bridge and under the docks." junseo explained, he pulled out a crumbled piece of paper from his pocket and unraveled it before handing it over.
jungkook just crinkled his nose at it, but took it anyways and looked at the numbers scribbled. "that's the door code, and the one underneath it is for the alarm." junseo said, "your best bet is tuesday nights because that's strip poker night and the watch team is more focused on getting naked then the actual security aspect of their job."
it's funny how smart and efficient people could be when you have something they want. really jungkook just needed the codes, the intel was lousy and junseo wasn't that trustworthy to just take his word on what night to hit. "thanks." the raven haired male said, reaching into his own pocket to pull out the small package of ivory powder.
junseo was more then happy for his little reward, taking it quickly and leaving just as fast. jungkook just read over the numbers once more, shoving the note into his jeans and starting to walk back to his car. he knew he was going to get shit for this, not just from one person and not just for one thing. it didn't matter though, because time was running out and sometimes cards had to played that normally wouldn't even leave the deck.
this isn't his style, but it's also not his game. sunwoo held the power and he was controlling the strings that had jungkook screaming and making decisions that would make him seem like the fool — but it would all work out, he just needed more time, more time become the one in control. this may be sunwoos game and he may like to play dirty, but he truly did underestimate jungkooks ability to delve into the darker side of himself.
