You walked out of the bathroom then put some simple red kimono on with a white obi. You put your hair in a bun and adorned it with some hairpins, his smell was still in the room, something like peppermint and musk...you have noticed it from the start, despite being someone who needs to move constantly long distances, he really takes care of himself in a very good way.
You walked downstairs to the kitchen to find lady Noriko already having some breakfast, you took a seat on the table as well joining her.
"Monring", you said with a smile, pouring some warm tea in your cup and taking a sip from it as she greeted you back.
"It was a stormy night...", she said taking a bite from her food as you were preparing some food for yourself as well.
"Yes, have you slept well my lady?", you said eating some of the sweets from the plate in front of you.
"Yes sweetheart, I was really tired yesterday", she said with a chuckle.
"My lady...I want to talk to you about something", you said in a concerned voice, putting your cup down getting her full attention.
"Yes dear, is something wrong?", she said calmly, noticing the slight change on your face.
"It is about Itachi...", you muttered in a low voice, trying to read her face expression.
"What is it?", she said, narrowing her eyes slightly.
"I want you to know...the truth...he is not a bad person...", you started, putting your hands in your lap nervously.
"I don't know what your definition for bad is, sweetheart, after what he did I don't think there something that can justify his crime, he is a nice and well mannered young man, but still...that doesn't change what he did", she replied shaking her head, as you clutched your hands into fists.
"No! That's what I want to talk to you about m'lady! Everyone keeps hating on him for that, but no one asked themselves why he did that", you said defending him, causing her to sigh.
"So [name]...tell me then..."
"That's why he had to do that...", you finished telling her the truth behind killing the Uchiha clan, to save a village from a war and to save his little brother, even though this latter doesn't know the truth...Itachi preferred to sacrifice his happiness and be a forsaken and a rejected man for this purpose, peace.
"That's...terrible...", you looked at Noriko to see a sad look on her face, "the first time I met him when he came here and I talked to him...he seemed to be a very good man...I was shocked the day you told his name sweetheart, something hard to believe, but...now I guess it makes sense...", she added with a heavy sigh, remembering how mature Itachi seemed the day she talked to him.
"That's why I'm not turning my back to him, I will act as an Uchiha and do what I'm supposed to do, support him and be by his side, I will...do whatever I can to repair what have been broken and give him a chance to live as a normal person, he doesn't have to bare all the hatred alone forever", you said thinking of him.
"I understand you [name], but don't forget...things didn't stop at that, he had joined a terrorist organization after that", she said as she looked at you, seeing that look on your face, she knows that nothing can change your mind about him...you love him after all, for all what he is.
"Did he ever had a choice? Maybe...if we met earlier he wouldn't do that...maybe if he had a place to come to he wouldn't join such a group, maybe he had just came here and lived with us...and left everything behind", you said with a deep sigh of sorrow and regret.
"It is been years since then...well, I don't think his brother will just leave him alone, you told me he doesn't know what happened, and all he knows is what what everyone else does, even if he knows he might not believe or accept it...", she said, she wasn't being pessimistic but she was trying to analyze the situation without being subjective.
"Yeah, still! I am not gonna ignore what I know, I will do my best for him", you said with determination.
"[name]...you're not doing this just because you are Uchihas...", lady Noriko said with a chuckle, noticing the pink blush spreading all over your cheeks.
"Well...", you murmured, looking at your hands as you held on the fabric of your clothes nervously.
"You love him", she said with a gentle smile.
"I started to love him even before he tells me the truth...", you confessed, getting more blush on your face after this confession.
"[name], I will keep his secret...", she said, placing her hands onto yours making you look at her face happily.
"Thank you, for understanding", you said smiling.
"Next time you see him, tell him, our house is always open for him", she said, causing your face to light up even more.
"Thank you!!", you giggled as you hugged her.
"Now get ready for work", she chuckled, gently stroking your head.
"Yes!"
"We will reach our destination in two days, heh", Kisame pointed out, after Itachi had joined for their mission to destroy a certain secret meeting place for some rogue ninjas.
"Yes", Itachi didn't say much as he kept his eyes on the way ahead of him, thanks to [name], he can see good after using her medication.
"It would be more fun if that girl was with us, what was her name again? Ah! [name]!", Kisame said with a grin, as Itachi kept that straight face on.
"You still see her Itachi, don't you?", Kisame said with a smirk, still no expression on Itachi's face.
"How can you tell?", he asked simply as they walked in the deep forest.
"Your mood change and improvement, everytime you're back from 'that' certain place you go to", Kisame said with a chuckle.
"Even if I'm seeing her, that's my own business, Kisame, no one is allowed to interfere with my personal life", Itachi said in a stern voice, apparently not happy about his partner's being curious.
"So you're not denying it", Kisame commented on Itachi words, as the Uchiha remained as cool as always without saying something else.
"Honestly, I never thought you actually want to revive your clan, Itachi", Kisame said spontaneously, earning himself a death glare from Itachi, "Kisame! Enough!".
"Alright", the shark man didn't seem to be bothered or even scared, he just shrugged his shoulders continuing to walk as he thought about Itachi's new relationship and their mission.
