A few days had passed and nothing much had happened, family drama-wise at least. Sangmin and Jimin were well-behaved during dinner and had yet to start another argument. Jiyeon was constantly checking up on you and making sure you felt settled in. Eleanor was also consistently at your side, asking if you needed her to do anything for you. You've been trying to get her to open up more but ever since she took you out to the garden she's been acting strictly professional around you. You understand that she needs to do her job but the cold, dead eyes she always stares at you with are starting to make you feel lonely. If you could, you'd rather just spend every day with Jimin at this point.

Today Sangmin and Jiyeon needed to go out. According to her, it was about work and she said that she and Jimin's father would be late coming home.

"It pains me to miss having dinner with you two but duty calls," she had said to you and Jimin before her departure.

When she first revealed the work-related plans, you had worried that they'd be dragging Jimin along, too. However, it seemed that this work business only required those higher up in the "business", meaning Jimin wasn't needed.

"How many rooms does this place have exactly?" you asked your boyfriend as you two were strolling down the halls. If he had asked, you wouldn't be able to tell him where you two currently were.

"Honestly, I don't even know. Despite the fact that I lived here for the first eighteen years of my life, I only really stayed in certain areas of the house. I wouldn't be surprised if there were at least ten other rooms I've never been in," Jimin replied.

"Well, I know that there are three floors," you said. There was the first floor, the second, and you were sure that there was an attic based on the height of the house.

"Nope, four actually."

"Awesome, so I actually know nothing about this house," you deadpanned.

Jimin chuckled and bumped his shoulder with yours. "I wasn't expecting you to know. There's a basement, which isn't exactly easy to find if you don't know your way around the house."

"What's down there?"

Jimin hummed thoughtfully and held onto one of your hands, swinging your arms as you two continued walking. "Uh, I guess you could call it a dungeon? There are a bunch of cells down there and stuff. Mom and dad have mostly used them to cage any dirt-bloods they find to deal with later. I know they've also kept humans who have gotten on their bad side. Then again, I haven't been down there since I was living here. For all I know, they might've completely remodeled it."

"I suppose you aren't really interested in how your parents pass time," you stated factually.

"Not really. I could show you it, though. I mean, we don't have to go down but I can take you to the stairs that lead to the basement." Jimin squeezed your hand slightly and his expression grew hard. "I'm not trying to say that anything bad will happen while we're here, but there have been times in the past where people have tried to break in and attack us. Whether they be dirt-bloods or humans just looking to hunt us, it's never safe. Mom and dad have always had everyone in the house evacuate to the basement while they deal with it since there's a lot of space down there."

"Does it happen often?" you asked, nervously nibbling on your lip.

"No, it hasn't happened in many years," Jimin reassured with a smile. "But depending on how this visit goes, my parents might end up asking you to return someday. And if something like those attacks were to happen and I wasn't nearby to help lead you downstairs, I want you to feel comfortable getting to the basement on your own."

"Okay, show me where I need to go."

Jimin leads you through the hallway you two were currently walking in and eventually to the front doors of the house. You were a bit confused since you hadn't noticed stairs nearby all the times you've passed this area. Was there a hidden door that needed to be activated?

"The basement is close to the kitchen. I thought it would be better for me to take you somewhere that was more familiar before bringing you there," Jimin explained, as if reading your mind.

Jimin brought you down the hall, past the dining room and kitchen, and to a large, rusty-looking door. It almost reached the ceiling and there were several latches and bolts along the edges.

"Extra security," Jimin supplied with a nod, noticing the way you were eyeballing the multiple locks. "Although the cells are more than enough already, some of the dirt-bloods have managed to get out in the past but this door prevents them from leaving the basement." His eyebrows furrowed for a moment and he looked up at the ceiling, contemplating. "I think I remember as a kid my parents locking a werewolf in here for a bit, too. Couldn't tell you the reason why but I remember hearing howling down there. This door definitely helped in keeping it from attacking all of us."

"Your parents are..."

Jimin smiled sarcastically. "There isn't quite a proper word to describe them, right? Part of the reason why I never wanna know what they're up to."

"It's just...your mother, in particular, is very nice and then I hear something like this and I just...I don't know what to think," you murmured truthfully.

"She's quite the contradiction."

The sound of a bang had both you and Jimin jumping out of your skins. Instinctively, you wrapped your arms around yourself protectively whereas Jimin took a step in front of you, a threatening hiss escaping him. Behind your boyfriend you noticed Eleanor fumbling with her notepad before scribbling something down furiously.

"What are you two doing here!?" she had written, eyes narrowed into a threatening glare.

"I'm showing (Y/n) the doors to the basement. Is there a problem with that?" Jimin snapped. "I may not be living here anymore but this is my house, too."

"Jimin," you whispered, placing a hand on his forearm.

"Mrs. Kim doesn't want anyone to go down there. She specifically told me to tell you it's off-limits for the time being."

"We weren't going to go down," you assured. "He was just taking me to the doors so I know where it is."

"Why can't we go down?" Jimin demanded. Eleanor quickly brought her pencil to the paper to answer but Jimin suddenly made a noise of disapproval. "Actually, never mind. I don't wanna know."

Eleanor gave a single nod in response before using her notepad again. "I'm sorry for coming off harshly. I'm only following Mrs. Kim's orders."

"It's alright, we understand." You turned to Jimin and linked your hands together, tugging on him slightly. "C'mon, let's go somewhere else."

Jimin was still eyeing Eleanor, probably still irritated by the way she reacted, but allowed you to pull him along nonetheless. You two walked past the maid and you tilted your head in her direction before continuing down the hall.

"I can't believe she--"

"Jimin, she's following your mom's commands. She just doesn't want to get in trouble," you interrupted, giving the silver-haired man a pointed look.

Jimin opened and closed his mouth a few times before letting out a defeated sigh, closing his eyes as his shoulders slumped. "I know. I just wish she would consider me to be on the same level as my parents, if that makes sense."

"Yes but if Jiyeon asked her to stop you from going down there, too, then there's nothing she can do." Jimin grunted and you pulled his arm to your chest, hugging it. "It's alright, baby. Just let it go. Let's go find something else to do."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"She doesn't want anyone down there? Kinda suspicious if you ask me."
"Yeah but it doesn't seem like what she's doing is irregular. Or I guess I should say what they are doing because Sangmin is probably in on it, too. Jimin wasn't very interested in finding out so I'm probably never gonna know," you sighed.
"And I guess you aren't too keen on going down there to investigate yourself?"
"Taehyung, I'm not that stupid. For all I know there are a bunch of hungry dirt-bloods waiting for a chance to get their hands on some fresh, human blood. I'll be torn to shreds."
"Well, Emily basically works for you, right? If you're interested you could always ask her," Taehyung suggested.
"Her name is Eleanor," you corrected, which Taehyung responds to with a quiet whatever. "But yeah, I guess I could try that. Something tells me I'm not supposed to know though. Jimin knows what kind of shit his parents usually do so it shouldn't be a problem for him to know. I, on the other hand, am not as knowledgeable. Jiyeon probably asked Eleanor to keep me away because she doesn't want to scare me off."
"Hmm, I guess. The Sangmin and Jiyeon I know, however, aren't afraid to flaunt their next greatest plans. But then again, we aren't all you. Maybe they actually want to make a good impression for once," Taehyung replied.
"Exactly."
You were about to say more when suddenly Jimin walked out of the bathroom, chest bare, a towel wrapped around his waist, and hair dripping after having just taken a shower. Your mouth went dry and you tried to focus your attention on something else in the room, eventually settling for the fireplace.
"T-Taehyung--" Your voice cracked and you cursed yourself internally before clearing your throat. "Listen, I'd love to stay and chat but I should probably head to bed. Eleanor is gonna check up on me soon and I don't really wanna have to deal with saying goodbye while she awkwardly stands beside the door, waiting."
Taehyung hummed thoughtfully and you could almost hear the smirk when he began speaking. "Are you sure? Or is my best friend perhaps distracting you?"
You glanced over at the closet to where Jimin was, his back turned to you and still bare, allowing you to see the muscles underneath moving as he sorted through some clothes.
"No, I--"
"(Y/n), you do realize that you're breathing heavily like a wolf about to dig into dinner, right? Pretty sure Eleanor doesn't make you act this way. Unless..."
"Taehyung!"
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Well, I'll leave you to it then! Now go make some babies!"
Taehyung hung up before you could respond and you tossed your phone on the bed beside you, pressing the heels of your palms into your eyes and groaning. When you lifted your head up, you couldn't help but flinch when noticing that Jimin was leaning against the doorframe of the closet, arms crossed and a smirk tugging on his lips.
"W-What?"
"Oh, nothing," Jimin drawled, pushing off the wall and taking slow steps over to you. "Just wondering why your heart is beating a mile a minute right now. Or why you've suddenly decided to end your call with Taehyung. Oh! And why you were becoming quite flustered close to the end there."
You fell back into your elbows as Jimin leaned forward, hands pressing into the mattress near your hips to hold himself up. His eyes, shining with mischief, were staring right into your soul. Gaze darting around the room, you were trying to look anywhere but at Jimin, feeling like you would burst if you did.
"Y-You know how Taehyung is. He was teasing me and stuff," you said lamely. It wasn't necessarily a lie, he did at the end. You just decided to leave out the part about Jimin walking out of the bathroom looking oh so delicious and how you just wanted to rip the towel off his body and--
"There it goes again," Jimin interrupted your thoughts. "What are you thinking about, baby?"
Before you could answer, Jimin ducked his head into your neck, running his nose up the side of it and inhaling deeply. One of his hands grabbed onto your hip and you couldn't help the way your breath hitched at the action. He brought his face up next to yours, lips pressing to your ear.
"Let's make babies."
Your brows furrowed in confusion and suddenly Jimin burst out into laughter, pulling away from you.
"What are you...what?"
Jimin was still laughing, eyes forming little crescents and one hand covering his mouth. "Y'know, I can hear you and Taehyung talking. Being a vampire comes with the perks of having heightened senses. It's not too difficult for me to find out what Taehyung is saying on the phone. It also makes it easier when he starts speaking loudly. If I were to guess, I have a feeling he knew I was listening."
"Wait, you heard everything?" you asked, feeling yourself panic slightly. If he knew about what you and Taehyung were talking about before he got out of the bathroom, what was he gonna say?
"My hearing isn't that good. I have to be in the room."
A sigh of relief escapes you internally. This state of relaxation didn't last long, however, and almost immediately you were overcome with shame, hands coming up to cover your face.
"I can't believe Taehyung would do that to me. And then you had to go and tease me like that. How rude," you mumbled.
Jimin's hands wrapped around yours and pulled them away from your face. He pressed kisses to your knuckles before sitting down in front of you, continuing to hold your hands. "Sorry, baby, I couldn't help it."
You stared at Jimin through narrowed eyes, feigning annoyance while ripping your hands out of your boyfriend's grip. Standing from the bed, you stalked over to the closet to find something comfortable to sleep in. As you were searching, arms wrapped around your waist and you were pulled into a sturdy, still bare chest.
"I can make it up to you," Jimin whispered into your ear suggestively.
"Nope, none of that for you. You've been bad so now you don't get anything," you said, trying to hide a smile.
"Aw, baby. Are you sure you're gonna be able to survive?" Jimin teased.
You turned around in Jimin's arms, letting your lips hover over his. "Of course. The real question is will you?"
A fire ignited in his eyes, a challenging glint shimmering through. "You sound so sure. Wanna make a bet?"
"Why is this suddenly becoming a competition," you chuckled, rubbing Jimin's arm.
"Let's see who can last longer without intimate actions."
"What do you mean by that?" you asked.
"No kissing and nothing more than that. Hand holding and hugging are okay," Jimin clarified.
You stood up on your toes and pressed a kiss to your boyfriend's lips, giving a proud smile. "I lost. Oh well."
Jimin pouted and crossed his arms. "You didn't even try."
"I love you too much, baby. I wouldn't last more than a day."
